This 1880s farm house is on a quiet residential corner with a big backyard, but is only 2 blocks north of downtown Douglas (with lots of shopping/antiquing/art galleries and 3 fine restaurants, a pizza parlor, a coffee shop, and ice cream shop/cafe- also a ball field/basketball court/playground with farmer's markets, vintage base ball games and evening socials).
It is also 2-3 blocks from Kalamazoo River and Harbor (with a Titanic-era steamship/Museum, boating & fishing, and Red Dock Bar & Grill). Also an easy walk to a library, a bowling alley and a grocery store. Downtown Saugatuck is about 7 blocks away (25 minute walk, 3 minute drive).
The main floor has a full kitchen and laundry area (washer & dryer), a full bath, living room (with digital cable), dining room, and a den with queen-size futon that can be curtained off for additional sleeping. The upstairs has two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and digital cable, the smaller room has a double-sized bed and TV/VCR. There is also a half-bath upstairs.
The property is on a corner lot two blocks from downtown Douglas. It is a quiet corner, as neither street is a thoroughfare. The backyard is spacious and park-like.
This two-story home was built around 1880, and recently updated. It has a comfortable style and my goal has been to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
