St. Petersburg house description
Welcome! This 2,131 sq. ft. fully remodeled home has a contemporary flair and has been professionally decorated, tastefully furnished and equipped for your comfort. The open, light and airy layout is great for entertaining and offers a living room with vaulted ceiling. Slide back the wall of windows to open onto the screened pool deck and enjoy the wonderful bay breezes and still have the privacy of the back garden. ***** HOUSE IS FOR SALE BY OWNER...........
The home features a new fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. There is a beautiful Master bedroom with a queen size bed and private en-suite luxury bath. The second oversized bedroom accesses the hall bath and is equipped with a full size bed. There is also a den with wood burning fireplace where a double bed can be set up to accommodate an additional guest. You will find the home to be spotlessly clean, fresh, bright and upscale.
The home, located in the secluded leafy enclave is less than a 10 minute drive directly west to St Pete Beach on the Gulf and north to downtown St Pete on Tampa Bay. Our neighborhood has a lovely waterfront park just two blocks from the house. There you can watch dolphins, manatee, pelicans, shore birds and all sorts of migratory birds as they travel the length of Tampa Bay or simply enjoy a leisurely walk or bicycle ride through the neighborhood. And an extra bonus is to go Sunday and Monday evenings to go see the huge cruise ships glide south toward the much photographed Sunshine Skyway Bridge that spans opposite sides of the Bay.
For sunrises or sunsets over the sea, we have you covered;
One day choose a sunrise over the Bay by walking along downtown's waterfront parks that overlook marinas, museums and theatres. Take time to walk out onto the Pier and then have lunch there or at one of the many al fresco restaurants along beautiful Beach Drive. And don't forget to leave time to browse the specialty gift shops and art galleries sprinkled throughout downtown.
Tired of walking? Try the Segway Tour, Horse drawn carriage or the St Petersburg Yellow Trolley that still costs only 25 cents! Every Saturday you will find a wonderful open air Saturday Morning Market that has Florida’s fresh produce, seafood, plants and flowers. Also there is a wonderful selection of arts and craft kiosks, and freshly cooked foods by many local restaurants. There is always live entertainment too. If this isn't enough then you should know that every weekend you will find concerts or events in the water front parks. St Pete and its activities is a destination for the entire Bay area.
If it's a sunset you desire, there is no place better on the East Coast than St. Petersburg Beach. With lots of public parking and access you can walk for miles. Take a picnic for all or take a book for yourself. Be on the flat white sands or snuggle up to a dune at your back. Do some shelling or body surfing or if you're adventurous try hang gliding or paddle boarding, but don't miss playing in the Gulf's warm waters. For those who enjoy tennis and golf please note there are free courts/courses open to the public.
If you are a sports enthusiast we have you covered there too as St Pete is the home of the Tampa Bay Rays and Tropicana Field is again only a 10 minute drive. Close by is the spring training baseball camps for the Yankees, the Cardinals, the Orioles, and the Phillies. And let's not forget the Buccaneers for Football and the Lightening for Ice Hockey.
Tampa and Ybor City to the northeast is 20 minutes and Sarasota to the south is 35 minutes away. Orlando, if you choose to do a day trip is a 90 minute drive and even closer is Busch Gardens at 45 minutes.
The major airports are in Tampa and Clearwater/St Pete. However if you are a light airplane enthusiast, Albert Whitted airfield abuts the St Pete’s waterfront and will accommodate corporate jets and private aircraft. It is less than 10 minutes to the house.
There is so much to do in the general areas that it is impossible to name them all. There will be plenty of brochures and newspapers located in the house awaiting your perusal. And if you need more, just ask us.
Look forward to seeing you soon! Happy vacationing!

Relax and unwind-- what a delight!
Relax and unwind-- what a delight!
The photos do NOT do this home justice. With recent renovations this house is comfortable, sunny and convenient to beaches, restaurants and only a couple blocks from Tampa Bay in a quiet residential neighborhood. We enjoyed morning walks to the waterfront park to watch a beautiful sunrise. Some mornings we had breakfast in the lovely renovated kitchen or went to the neighborhood eatery. With the Gulf of Mexico only minutes from the home we would spend time sunning on the beach, shopping and eating. It was nice to come "home" and simply enjoy the family room with the huge sliding doors open to the pool and plan our evening in the downtown St. Pete area with numerous restaurants, art shops and museums. We didn't want our vacation to come to an end. We hated leaving our beautiful "home" in St. Pete. We only hope "our home" is available for our next vacation in such a great town and neighborhood. We certainly would recommend this lovely home.

Why the Owner Chose St. Petersburg:
This was a true diamond in the rough planted in the 1949's era. Great bones, bright, open floor plan with large bedrooms and vaulted ceilings in the living area with lots of potential for remodeling. We found Bahama Shores to be a quiet, friendly, peaceful neighborhood one of those well hidden secrets in St Pete and pleasant too come home to.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Typically it’s a peaceful, serene neighborhood where you can enjoy bicycling, jogging, rollerblading or walking the neighborhood. We have a community waterfront park where we have sat, relaxed in peace and solitude watching the sunrises, sunsets, dolphins, and various species of birds. On those cooler days and nights we open up the sliders to an enclosed pool, relax and enjoy the cool breezes and see the changing of the seasons lush landscape in our private back yard. Centrally located has its advantages, just a short drive to the some of the best beaches, great shelling, kayaking, rollerblading, bicycling, ferry rides to Egmont Key or Shell Key Island, boating. Just 10 minutes to downtown St Pete where there are many activities that downtown has to offer-- museums, theatre, galleries, strolling along Beach Blvd's shopping district, restaurants, and our favorite flavors of mocha, coconut and lemon frozen yogurt or the rich flavors of chocolate, coffee gelato. We just love our location!
