The condo was larger than we expected which was a good surprise. We are a family of 8 and everyone had enough room to move around. The master bedroom was very large and had a walk in closet. The second room was the same size as the master bedroom with out the walk-in closet. The kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances. The condo was very clean and didn't have any problem in the 2 days we were there. There were extra towels and sheets provided.The beach was a few steps away .There were supermarkets close by to keep the kitchen stocked. We enjoyed visiting Pinones and the family enjoyed eating at Bebos where you can get the most bang for your buck. We are recommending this unit to our family and friends and plan to return again.

Last Minute Reservation

We missed our flight and had to stay in Puerto Rico a extra day. Luckly this condo was available as March is a very busy season and hotels in the area were all sold out. This place has a great location as it was only minutes away from the airport and is beach front. The owner was able to get us into the condo with our last minute reservation. When we arrived the carpets where damp as they had just shampooed the carpets but we where notified that was going to be the case. Overall the place was very clean and the kitchen had all the basic essentials drinkink glasses, plates, pots, pans ect.... Our stay was short but next time I'm in Puerto Rico I will be try to book a reservation at this condo for a longer period of time. Thanks again!

Great location. Condo disappointing.

PROS: Great location. Loved the timer switches for the lights, especially as we have small children. Staff at ESJ was very helpful and friendly. We were not due to fly home until 9pm, but had to vacate the apartment by 11:00. I did request a late check-out, and told it was $50.00 extra, but only till 13:00. To stay longer, we would have to pay for an additional night! The staff understood our predicament and offered to hold our bags and allow us to use the fitness room to shower, should we feel we needed to use the facilities. CONS: The entire building is dated and beach access from the building is between hours, closing at 7pm. Luckily there are public access areas to get on and off the beach. The condo was disappointing. It clearly needs updating and I cannot state when the pictures were taken, but the walls had marks on it. The carpet did not look as clean, as in the pictures. The paint color was beige, which made the condo appear dark and dingy. Was very surprised by the lack of information from the owner. We have rented condos in the past and usually there is a booklet of some sort that gives you information about the condo itself, the facilities and the surrounding areas. There was nothing. We relied very much on the staff at ESJ to obtain information. Kitchen: Outdated. But it is exactly what you see in the photos. The cupboard doors above the cooker and counter are slightly broken. We had to be careful as the hinges did not keep the doors in alignment and we were not sure that it would break. The most disgusting thing was that the dishes in the cupboard were dirty. I pulled out the first plate and it had some sort of oily, sticky residue. Living Room: Pictures are accurate, but what is doesn’t show are the cupboards on the back wall. One door was broken, and the entire doors were not maintained. The closet was full of odds and ends and very dirty.A SMART TV was installed, but with no instructions on how to use it. Bathroom: As per another review, the water temperature went from burning hot to cold in a matter of seconds. We spent much time adjusting the temperature while showering. At one point lost hot water, but only one evening. This was not only inconvenient, but a safety hazard. I have two children, 5 and 7, and had to sit and adjust thetemperature every 10-20 seconds, as at one point, the water was so hot that it was burning them. I could say more, but the word limit does not allow me to expand further. I will not return here.

Owner response: Our check-out has always been at 11:00 AM for a reason. This is a 2 bedroom condo and requires a lot of cleaning and 3 hours of laundry work to get everything cleaned. When guest check out late this can have an impact on the next guest's check-in as the condo might not be ready in time. We do have a $50 fee if you want to check out later than 11:00 AM to accommodate our guest request but it's limited to a certain time before it's considered another night. Why do we have a fee? Because we have to increase the cleaning staff so the condo is ready by 3:00 PM for the next guest. All our fees are clearly printed on all customer invoices.

This was the perfect girls getaway that we have had in years! We were 3 friends trying to get some relaxed, nature connected and fun vacations in The Caribbean. This is our second visit to PR and we loved every minute out of it; more than our first one. Some people might get a little concerned about traveling to the Island and having this kind of stay, but we must tell you that it was an incredible experience. The area and the condo are extremely safe and quite. You'll get tired (in a very good way) of seeing police officers patrolling the beaches and the streets; and for the fact that we were 3 young ladies hanging out by ourselves at anytime, this was a huge plus, since we felt really safe all the time. In the other hand, the condo has absolutely everything you might want and need and has a very relaxing ambiance. Something that we loved as well about staying here, is that you are right in the ocean! It just takes a few seconds to feel the beautiful sand on your feet. And having the chance to alternate between days, in what beach to hang around, by just getting to the back or to the front of the condo, was another amazing plus for us! We had a lovely and fun vacation thank you for all your help and kindness. We will definitely stay at your place again.

Prime Location and Unbeatable Value

Was furnished with all amenities, tastefully decorated, very clean and beach was great. having all the amenities of a hotel within a condo environment, perfect. Location was ideal for dining, lots of choices very short drive, if you wanted or even better to walk. Very safe to walk to many great places to eat. A Chilis at end of driveway to ESJ towers, we allowed our 16 yr olds to walk over and grab a bite to eat, absolutely safe. The grocery store was within a 1/2 mile drive, could walk if needed to, however we took our car with our party being total of 6 people, bought lots of snacks for growing boys. Pool was wonderful with lots of seating, game room, billards, ping pong, lounge area for drinks and watching big screen tvs down stairs was a plus. Having a restaurant on site was very handy also. ESJ Towers had a conceirge counter and an attendant at the desk 24/7 made it so convenient for information we needed. We walked down to Intercontinental several time and had lunch at their bar right on the beach, drinks were great, food was great, and to sit right on beach was a plus. would recommend this to any couple looking for the complete package and many, many thanks to Ricardo for all his suggestions. Called her a couple time just to get dining advice, and he was so quick to respond and so very gracious. This condo is a top notch find.

Excellent apartment, very cute, the owners are great and very good people, what you see in the pictures is exactly the same,and I traveled to Puerto Rico and the hotels are expensive, this apartment is While comfortable, the bed super good, is furnished like your own home, just in short very very very good, I recommend it 100 percent.....just goooooooooo , really, every year I travel to the island and never have never found something so cute, comfortable, and excellent conditions as seen in the internet

Small leak under sink, sliding door rollers need replacing, sleeps 10 needs a bigger coffee pot than a 4 cup cofffee maker. outside of those few details, all was very good.

Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car.

EXCELLENT GETAWAY!!!

Two of us stayed in this apartment for four nights. We found Ricardo the owner to be very helpful every step of the way and the apartment to be exactly as described. The kitchen had everything we needed and the apartment was very clean in a well maintained and friendly building. The beach was very safe with tourists and locals and was patrolled by police on segways and horseback. The apartment is in a great location, a 5 minute walk to Walgreens and a 15 minute walk to the grocery store. We made our breakfasts and lunches in the apartment and went out for dinner each night. The bottle of wine and two glasses waiting for us when we arrived was a very nice touch as was the coffee and condiments in the refrigerator. The view was amazing and we loved listening to the sound of the ocean and watching the paddle boarders and swimmers. We rented a car and drove to El Yungue National Rain Forest, Fajardo, Ponce and Guanica. We did not have any trouble finding a parking spot on the street for overnight parking. This was a quick five day weekend getaway for us and our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. The neighborhood is very safe and the locals are friendly, helpful and accommodating. We would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a romantic vacation in beautiful Isle Verde. We are looking forward to returning to San Juan and staying in this apartment again.

Unit was not up to condition represented. Needs to be upgraded ie counters, cabinets, appliances we were supposed to have a tv in bedroom did not work . We were there 2-wks was not fixed in all that time.we We will not return to this rental.Shower was terrible couldn"t regulate water temp at all.

Owner response: The pictures on the listing represent the condo 100%. If you’re looking for granite or marble counter tops look again at the pictures as that’s not was is shown. The water heater is brand new and was installed about a month ago and I’ve personally stayed in the condo since then I never had a problem regulating the water. The condo uses a in line water heater system which is different than the large water heaters typical homes have. Water is heated instantly instead of having a reservoir of heated water such that you need to leave the water running for about a minute or so before heated water is delivered. The hotel maintenance staff checked the problem with the cable and discovered problems with the lines going into the bedroom TV. The room needs to be rewired by the cable company but unfortunately they didn’t come while the guest was there. However this problem didn’t cause any loss of service to the Smart TV in the living room. Guest was always able to watch cable TV and stream Netflix in the living room.

We stayed at this property during the Thanksgiving holiday 2012. I will start by saying this our first experience with VRBO and our first trip to Puerto Rico and we couldn't be more pleased. The condo is well appointed with all of the comforts of home. It is very clean, in a secure building and located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. There is a Walgreens and a Pueblo supermarket within walking distance so we were able to enjoy several meals at 'home' due to a very well equipped kitchen. Ricardo was available via text, email and phone at any time to answer any questions and the onsite staff met us promptly upon arrival. There are three luxury resorts within walking distance (Ritz, El San Juan, Intercontinental), as well as, several local restaurants. Our favorite restaurant is La Playita where the staff, service, view and food are all wonderful. On one of the days we rented a car from Enterprise at the El San Juan Hotel and drove through Condado and into Old San Juan. We did some site seeing and had great day. All expectations were exceeded and we highly recommend this property.

Disappointing

The ESJ towers is definitely located in a good spot on the strip with access to many restaurants, bars and casinos. The property is dated and the furnishings and carpeting in the unit itself were worn. The most concerning issue, however, for us was that 2 days into our stay we no longer had hot water. We placed repeated calls to the owner but he was slow to repond. Once he did, he assured us he would have someone come to the unit to address the issue. No one ever came and again, after our repeated attempts to contact him, he initimated that we may have done something to cause the hot water to stop flowing. In the end, we were there for 4 more days with no hot water. After our return, I contacted him to request an adjustment to the charges and have yet to hear back from him. All in all the experience and customer service were disappointing.

Owner response: Unfortunately I dropped the ball on this one. I was traveling and my response to fix this issue was delayed. A new water heater was installed at the condo along with a new Smart TV so guest can stream Netflix during there stay.

I have nothing but great things to say about the process and rental property. This is the first time I have used VRBO and I will definitely use it again. The owner was friendly, helpful and provided great customer service. The check in and check out process was smooth and efficient. The staff on-site was very accomodating. This was our first time in Puerto Rico and it won’t be the last. My husband and I came with our families to Puerto Rico. We initially wanted to stay in a hotel in Isla Verde but the cost of 8 people staying in a hotel was too high for our budget. We found this condo online and it fit us all comfortably and it had all the amenities we looked for. Our overall experience was fantastic and we are hoping to make it down again next year. Thanks again for letting us stay!

Our family just spent 2 weeks at this Isla Verde condo and it was absolutely wonderful! One of the finest beaches in Puerto Rico. We couldn’t have been happier. We enjoyed the beach, pool and the manicured grassy area for reading and playing. The owner is amazing to work with; very flexible and great at communicating. We had to change our plans twice due to airline issues and they were always happy to accommodate us. The condo was clean and well maintained and we look forward to returning in the future. We highly recommend this condo and management team!

Great beach rental!

My sisters and I stay in Isla Verde once a year for a "sister reunion." It is a great area, like Las Vegas on the beach! This was our first time staying in ESJ and we loved it. We noticed the building on our last trip after spending quite a bit to stay two buildings down at the Intercontinental. The condo is a great value for the location and amount of space we got. We also liked the high level of security ESJ offers. We haven't had any problems in the past but it was nice to feel so secure compared to staying at some of the hotels where people can really just wander in and out. The beach is spectacular and the condo is on the north end of the building so we were literally a 3 minute walk to the ocean! The unit itself was bright and well maintained, we actually arrived just as the maid was leaving, i think we surprised her! All in all, great amenities and not too shabby when you can technically call the bar at the Ritz Carlton your neighborhood bar (if you're up for a walk)!

I put a few friends in this condo for my wedding at El San Juan Resort & Casino. The location was perfect and spacious. However, the condo is in need of some TLC. The bathroom has mold and there's other locations within condo with mold as well. The condo could actually be a great rental if some updates are made, mold is removed, and just properly cleaned all over. I sent the owner pictures showing the area of concern. He seems to be a pleasant owner so hopefully he will take my concerns seriously and make updates to the property. My friends enjoyef PR having the party hotel right next door was a plus for them. The Wedding at El San Juan Resort was perfect. Like I said the property has potential, however repairs, updates and cleansing is needed

Owner response: Unfortunately I’m going to have to disagree with this review. This condo has over 40 bookings a year and gets professionally cleaned each time someone checks in and out. If mold truly existed it would have been removed by my staff and I would have lots of complaints and negative review. During this tenants stay I received no phone calls or emails expressing their concerns. Once they left the condo I hear from them with these complaints. If the property was so bad to get 1 star why was I never informed and given a chance to correct any problems. This is typical of guest looking for home owners to pay for their vacation. If issues arise on my property they are taken care of so my guests experience and stay is memorable.

I visited PR because my cousin was getting married and I needed a place to stay. I was kinda iffy at first because I had never vacationed using any kind of website like this. Everything worked out great i was always in contact with the owner if I was to ever need anything, the beach was beautiful and accessible. The room was great. Its also in a prime location close to everything.

ESJ Towers are in a great location and within walking distance to many bars, restaurants and other hotels. No view from unit but right on the beach and on the pool level. We were happy to find the unit very clean with plenty of towels for our stay. Remember, this is a condo, not a hotel so there is no maid service!!!! We would recomend this unit for folks who want relaxing beach days, or wild night life. You can get both here.......

This was a very different kind of 'condo stay' experience for us. Typically, when you look for a condo with access to a beach etc - you get a great beach experience but then lose out on the peripheral stuff. This time we were wildly impressed. The beach is steps from the condo door - with wait staff and helpers all around. There are activities and watersports just out on the sand. The pool is right there as well and has a bar serving all the best Pina Coladas etc that you could want. The building has a restaurant for breakfast and lunch (no dinner) but I recommend stepping out from the building to Ave Isla Verde - where you find everything you need. All shops and restaurant staff speak English and Spanish. 24 hr grocery store and Walgreens within minutes walk. ... the best thing is the night-life. Bars, clubs, hotels, fine dining - all there - right there !!! This was the bet beack vacation ever. Recommend to everyone.
