Lazy J Hideaway is a 1600 sq. ft. western themed cabin that is very secluded. The cabin is nestled in the beautiful Quachita Mountains on 24 acres where you have the ultimate in quiet and seclusion.
Minutes away from the scenic GLOVER RIVER, listed as one of the 10 most beautiful places in Oklahoma, you can enjoy Mother Nature at her best! You are also 25 minutes away from visiting BROKEN BOW LAKE and BEAVERS BEND STATE PARK but can return from the hustle and bustle to your peaceful hide-a-way.
Lazy J Hideaway has 3 bedrooms, a loft and 2 baths. One bedroom downstairs features a king bed while the other downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. The downstairs bathroom has a shower with a separate bathtub. Step back in time by relaxing in an ole’ time claw foot tub. The upstairs bedroom has two full beds with a full bath. The loft has a twin bed. Eight people can sleep in this cozy cabin very comfortably.
The focal point of the living area is a magnificent rock fireplace. It reaches all the way to the top of the cathedral ceiling. It is gas operated and can be turned on easily with the flip of a switch.
The kitchen is fully equipped for your cooking needs. All your appliances are stainless steel. You have a large cooking stove to prepare your meals. There is a dishwasher for your convenience so you can spend more time relaxing. In the dining area you have a large cedar table that will easily seat 8 people.
OUTDOORS ACTIVITIES:
FIREPIT: If you want to enjoy the outdoors there is a covered firepit where you can build a fire to roast marshmallows or just sit around telling stories.
HORSESHOES: There is also a horseshoes for your enjoyment. You have a view of the water while you pitch horseshoes.
COVERED DECK: You can unwind on a 20 x 20 covered deck while admiring your own personal 1 acre lake. There is something so calming about being around water. You can also put your feet up and just enjoy while taking in the view.
FISHING: The lake is stocked with bass, crappie, and perch so you can also enjoy casting a rod and reel while you are here. You can fish off the bank or just sit and take it easy while fishing off the dock.
ATV RIDING: Bring your ATV’s to enjoy riding in the U.S. Forest Service in the Quachita National Forest . It is 4 miles to the designated riding area. From October 1-December 31 you are 1 mile to the ATV Riding Area.

My husband and I and two other couples came to the cabin for some time away from it all and we had a wonderful time! We fished, ate, relaxed by the fire pit, and laughed alot! The cabin had everything we could possibly have needed or wanted. It was secluded and very peaceful. Everything was very clean and comfortable which is important to me. We enjoyed it so much and our only disappointment was that we only had a weekend to spend. Highly recommend it!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Cabin was spotless! Everything is very well maintained - nice appliances, outdoor grill, etc. We really liked being able to just walk out to the dock and toss a line in the water. If you are a foodie, like us - please be sure to bring ingredients/wine as shopping is very limited. Shari was very helpful in providing us with all the information we needed . An excellent place to enjoy quiet seclusion .Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We had 8 people and 2 dogs at this "Cabin in the Woods". There was plenty of room and the amenities were fabulous!! We had 4 boys (6,7,8 and 10) with us and they loved roaming around the woods and hiking the property. We caught a few small fish in the pond - which was great fun!! We requested firewood be delivered - it was stacked and ready when we got there! I don't think there's anything more we could have asked for. We took a few trips into Broken Bow and had a great time paddle boating, go-kart driving and hiking the nature trails!! If you are looking for a bit of R and R - this is the place!! We saw some of the other rentals closer to Broken Bow - but, the houses were all next to each other. We loved having space to roam and no neighbors!! We will definately be coming back this summer for a few days!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners.

My husband and I joined my sister and her family for a weekend at this fabulous cabin in the woods of Oklahoma. You won't be sure you're going the right way, as the paved road disappears under your tires, but keep going - you're almost to a little paradise. The surrounding area is forests of trees and peaceful respite for as far as you can see. We played dominoes, cooked and ate at the big cedar table, watched for shooting stars, and just enjoyed the peace of the area. The dogs explored to their heart's content, and slept for two days when we got back, so they really enjoyed it! The owners were fantastic in providing information, directions, and anything we asked about. The cabin was completely clean, the beds were nice and comfy, and the whole place was just absolutely charming. It's only about three hours outside of Dallas, so it's well worth the drive if you can only stay a weekend, but I'd recommend a few days longer. I know we'll book a few more days the next chance we get.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Absolutely loved the beauty of the cabin and the breath taking views of the outdoors. I enjoyed coffee on the deck over looking the pond while listening to the birds every morning. The boys loved the horse shoe pit. We will be back for another family get away soon! The cabin was just perfect as we wanted to unplug from the hectic world we live in. The property is georgeous and groomed beautifully. The cabin was just perfect, and we loved the fire pit where we made s'mores. I found a secret walking track that allowed me to walk 2 miles per day. Its a great trail with challenging hills. Walk from the gate to the house, around the pond, over the dam, down the mowed fence line back to the gate. We rode 4 wheelers, went kayaking, did some fishing in the pond and on the Glover River and read some books. We will be back!! I can't descripe how impressed we were with this property. This was an extremely clean and well maintained cabin with all of the modern admenities of home. We absolutely had the perfect weekend with the best weather. We even caught a few fish in the pond wright off of the back deck. Our favorite moments were seeing the wildlife, watching the sunrise and sunset, taking a hike by the river, playing board games and the fireplace. About the owner: My husband and I built this cabin for our family to have a place to relax and get away from it all. We decided to start renting it to let others share in the same experience. My husband says we built this cabin like the Johnny Cash song 'One Piece At A Time'. It took several years to complete the project but we finally did and it was well worth it. I know your family will enjoy it as much as ours.
Why the Owner Chose Broken Bow:
We love to go and get away from it all. This cabin is a great place for you to reconnect with your family. The deck is a great place to have converstions, enjoy the scenery, and admire the water and sometimes hear a fish splash. In the winter you can enjoy the large fireplace in the cabin or build your own fire in the ourdoor firepit. We love to build a fire outdoors and all sit around sharing stories and roasting marshmallows. We also love to play cards so there has been alot of card games played there already. It's a great place to bring your family to enjoy being together and letting them discover the country life.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Everytime we visit the cabin one of our favorite things to do is visit Glover River. It is about 2 miles from the cabin. It is the last free flowing river in Oklahoma and was voted one of the top 10 most beautiful places to visit in Oklahoma. My kids and now my grandson loves to throw rocks in the river. It is a great place to have a picnic, also just sitting and listening to the water flowing down the river is very relaxing. It is definitely worth a trip while you are visiting.
