  Spent 4 awesome days at the DuPont Estate 2/21-25. Had 15 people stay the entire time, with an additional 10 who joined for a 60th birthday party celebration. The compound provided plenty of room and activities for everyone. Some of the party never even left the property! The pool, hot tub and sauna were in use constantly. The evenings were cool so thoroughly enjoyed the living room fireplace which provided a nice warmth and ambiance. Being close to stores allowed for quick runs to pick items up. Very much enjoyed all the fresh fruit surrounding the property, and with 3 acres, there was plenty of ground to explore. We hired a chef and masseuse for the weekend so had great food and very relaxed by the time we left. The chef remarked how well equipped the kitchen was. The espresso machine was popular as well. Lynne and Rob are gracious property owners.

  This is paradise! From the moment you enter the expansive living room, furnished in impeccable modernist style, with a white baby grand player piano tinkling in the background, you know hat this us no ordinary retreat destination. A huge expanse of windows open out into an immaculately groomed garden, with tastefully designed sitting areas, a gas fire pit, and a full sized pool and hot tub. Date trees tower over the lawn, and flowers and shrubs give color and shade. Inside, each bedroom has its own unique decor and accompanying bath, providing privacy within a communal setting. No detail, no matter how small, is overlooked. The kitchen is a dream, with every gadget and appliance imaginable. I especially loved with built in Melita coffee machine, and the spacious kitchen island was perfect for family cooking sessions. The master bedroom, with its state of the art shower room and Jacuzzi tub, is enhanced by the adjacent enclosed private outdoor space and hot tub . I lay in the tub for hours, looking at the stars, while my family cooked and played in the pool. I can not think of a better way to relax. The modernist furnishings have been chosen with exceptional care. The two while leather chaises that look out into the garden area are a treasure, accompanied by the arc of a period lamp, and a leather seating area facing the fireplace. Everything is easy but elegant, providing an incentive to breathe and unwind. Of course, the sauna/tub in the bathhouse is another option; there are so many ways to detoxify and breath into needed relaxation. I feel that the photos can not do the place justice. They can not capture the sweep of the lawn, or the spaciousness of the rooms inside.It is difficult to assess the elegance the home from the street, but the looking inward from the outdoor fire pit through the expanse of glass walls, one is amazed by the perfect modernist "Architectural Digest " look that has been achieved. The owner left us to our privacy, but was instantly available for any questions we might have.She even recommended the perfect nail salon, right around the corner! The pool and tubs were at a perfect temperature. The entire property is faultlessly groomed and maintained.My only sadness is that we had to depart, leaving Paradise with a hope to return. I would recommend Dupont Estates to anyone who appreciates a perfect vacation .

  This place is spectacular. The grounds are beautiful--the pictures can't even begin to capture how much SPACE there is. We kept looking around in awe asking, is this really all for us? Fruit trees are everywhere with the dates and grapefruits being particular favorites. 10 of us stayed here for New Year's and there was more than enough room. The house is close to everything yet feels very far away. Very relaxing and picturesque. Lynne and Rob are so sweet and really want to make sure you have the best time possible. Looking forward to the next time stay already!

  First impressions are everything and what we saw when we arrived was incredible. The pictures do not do this property justice. We had a group of 9 staying at the porperty for a retreat and we all agreed that we will be back again. We had everything that we needed and more (from the pool, the table tennis (we used this a lot), the awesome spaces for meetings and socializing, a spa, great kitchens, a BBQ and fantastic rooms). A big thank you to the owners who really made us feel at home. We'll see you next year.

  Truly an amazing property! Amazing owners that make you feel welcome! One of a kind, with a quiet, relaxing and private backyard. Great for any function, be it wedding, family reunion, retreat, etc. The Dupont Estate is a picture of nostalgia that you can't help but fall in love with.

  We stayed at the Dupont Estate for a weekend and had the most fab time! A great place to rejuvenate. Amazing experience all around.

  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LOOK AT ANY MORE LISTINGS IN LAQUINTA BECAUSE THIS ONE IS THE #1. MY WIFE AND I STAYED SEVERAL TIMES AT THIS ESTATE AND ALSO WENT TO A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING THERE. WE WERE QUITE PLEASED AND HOPE TO STAY THERE AGAIN. IT IS IN A VERY QUITE, PEACFUL AND IN A PRIVATE LOCATION. IT IS ALSO CLOSE TO MANY UPSCALE RESTAURANTS AND SHOPPING AREAS. IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS. I BET YOU WILL COME BACK AGAIN. WE GIVE THIS ESTATE A 5 STAR FOR SURE.

  One of the definitions of paradise is "a place of complete bliss, delight and peace" and Dupont Estate Resort is that and more! The photos don't do it justice as they really can't capture the magnificence of the surroundings...simply breathtaking! I was overwhelmed by the beauty and serenity of the property and cannot wait to return!

  To stay any where else would only be a compromise. The attention to detail is impeccable. In my group we had 7 and we had great space like we were on another Oasis. Everything was first cabin and well appointed taste. We plan to return next year and have now learned that others have discovered our secret place. We did not hesitate to make reservations for the next three years.If you ever experience this place you will always want to return .I can't wait to impress my new friends on the next stay.   We have enjoyed spending our wedding anniversary at the Dupont Estate for the past several years. The property provides elegance, fun, privacy and a relaxing environment for all guests to enjoy. We have attended a fabulous wedding as well as creative birthdays for all ages, and New Year and Thanksgiving holidays for large extended families and friends. El Paseo shopping and nearby tennis, golf and hiking are within walking distance. A tram ride is a must for the spectacular views.
