Family of four with an 8 and a 5 yr old had a lovely time. Plenty of space, toasty warm and cozy accommodations. Location is great right in town and right off the lake. Towns of Red Wing and Wabasha are each 15 minutes away. We took in the Eagle Center and sledding at Frontenac SP (which is both harrowing and excellent!) House was exactly as advertised with everything necessary to enjoy our stay. We highly recommend this rental.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for staying with us, we are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your next visit. Kind regards, Nancy Rigelman, Lake Pepin Cottage.

Rented the cottage for a girls weekend and it was perfect. Close to the lake and the downtown area. Saw eagles in the trees by the lake in the mornings. The cottage was tastefully decorated for the holidays and had great spaces for relaxing. Hope to be back sometime next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We stayed overnight after a beautiful, although windy bike ride from the Twin Cities. Our primary purpose besides the bike ride was to dine at Nosh. We wanted to be within walking distance and this cozy little cottage fit the bill. From the photos, you can conclude that there have been many tasteful upgrades to this property. The home looks small on the outside, but the gathering spaces, dining, kitchen and living spaces are plenty big enough. The furniture is quite comfortable and the climate controls were modern and worked well. The master suite on the main living level worked well and the adjoining bathroom was clean and functional. Most surfaces you touch throughout the home have been painted or renewed. There are ample covered outdoor spaces - a front and side yard porch, and the outdoor patio is very nice. We will definitely stay again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for sharing your kind thoughts about Lake Pepin Cottage. We love the Cottage and are glad you enjoyed your stay. What a bike ride and a beautiful day for it, a little windy I think. We look forward to your next visit. Kind Regards, Nancy

I have stayed at a number of VRBO locations and this one by far was the most accommodating and well equipped for our stay. Wood stacked by the burning pit, towels freshly laundered and displayed, soft comfy robes for each of us, all the necessities we needed for the kitchen and bath, and even fresh flowers on tables. The cottage was very, very clean and loved lounging in the big tub upstairs to relax and unwind. The owner was there to meet one of us at arrival to make sure we had everything we needed and to ask any questions. The location is close to downtown shopping and one block away from the lake and walking path. We couldn't ask for anything more. We were even entertiained by grey, black and yes, albino squirrels. Perfect location for a party of 4 maybe 5. I do believe all of us would have preferred to stay and move in if that were possible. Wonderful experience.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for staying with us and sharing your wonderful experience. We hate to go home from the Cottage some days too. We hope you can stay and enjoy the cottage another time. We also liked your suggestion about the first aid kit! Kind regards, Nancy

Great location, beautiful view. Very clean and well maintained. Would have liked to have soap in bathrooms and dishwashing soap available. Also in upstairs bathroom if possible a shower in tub, rather than just a tub. Very charming decorating and was a cozy atmosphere to sit and visit and relax. We would recommend this to friends and rent again if the opportunity presents.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are glad you could enjoy our wonderful cottage. We love it too. We hope you will come again.

We were very happy with the accomodations and the gracious treatment that our family recieved during our stay. We thought we were staying in a 5 star hotel because of the little incidentals that the owners provided, like bath robes in the master bedroom! We utilized this property along with another cottage during the same week and this cottage was head and shoulders above the other one! Three Cheers for a wonderful vacation getaway spot! We highly reccomend this property and will stay here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers.
Owner response: We are glad you could stay at the cottage and enjoy it as much as we do. Be sure and make your reservations for your next visit.
