Rustic cabin on one of the most beautiful locations in Pecos / Santa Fe. Built in 1937 the "Rainy Day" Cabin is a local landmark in the Pecos National Forrest. Situated on one the largest pools of the upper Pecos River, this cabin features excellent fishing right off the front porch. And if the fish are not biting, you can take a swim in the deep pools below.
Built as a summer get away home by one of the founders of the American Legion, this log cabin takes you back in time and is perfect for a relaxing vacation with family or friends.
The cabin offers 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The upper bunk room offers 4 single beds for the kids. Two other bedrooms have 2 beds in each, one queen and one full. The Great Room with large fireplace and dining area is a great gathering spot once the sun goes down.
A fully stocked kitchen and gas grill are provided. There is also an outdoor fireplace for making smores, if fire bans are not in effect.
Located in a national park and forest, the cabin sits on more than 1/3 mile stretch of the Pecos River. The cabin side of the river is private property.
if you are looking for a relaxing spot outside of Santa Fe with lots of outdoor activities and excellent fishing, you will love "Rainy Day!"
