Location: Holden Beach, Southern Coast, Coastal, North Carolina, USA (30 miles South of Wilmington, North Carolina)

Come enjoy a large oceanfront home/duplex on one of the top family beaches. Located 30 miles south of Wilmington, North Carolina and 35 miles north of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Holden is known as a family beach with tranquil non-crowded beaches. Brunswick County is quickly becoming known as "North Carolina’s GOLF Coast" with over 30 golf courses.

Four Crabs by the Sea is perfect for large family gatherings. It is a six bedroom, four bath duplex(3 bedrooms each side) located just feet from the sandy beach of the Atlantic Ocean. Watch your children play from the back deck while you enjoy the ocean breeze. Each side has three bedrooms [two bedrooms up and one bedroom down]. During prime weeks we prefer to rent as a whole unit and not individual sides.

An interior door on the first floor connects the two sides. There is a top sundeck and a lower covered porch that leads to the beach by a short private boardwalk. Lots of covered parking is available. There are outside hot and cold showers to clean off those sandy feet. Under the house is an enclosed laundry area that has storage space as well as washer and dryers.

Newly renovated, each side has new flooring, living room and kitchen furniture, and bedding. Most rooms have ceiling fans. All upstairs bedrooms have cable TVs. Living rooms have Cable TVs with VCR, DVDs, and stereos. This house is set up to be child-friendly with booster chairs, baby baths, gates, and port-a-cribs on both sides. There are toys, puzzles, games,movies and books available for your pleasure. Each side features a full kitchen with new appliances. Four of the bedrooms sport two double beds and two bedrooms have a double bed plus bunkbeds.

Concrete sidewalks are located all along Ocean Boulevard and are perfect for biking, skating, walking, or jogging. We are located close to the Pier, Supermarket, and Ice Cream Parlor. Golf on more than 35 courses or if you are a boating enthusiast enjoy two Marinas close by. Bike rentals are available nearby as well.

Seafood restaurants, putt-putt, go-karts, bumper boats, driving range, and waterslides are located just over the causeway, minutes away. Watch dolphins from your deck, take the kids shelling anytime, and go out for a moonlight beach walk looking for turtles and crabs.

ADDITIONAL RENTAL INFORMATION:
* We offer rentals of each side individually outside of prime summer months or as a unit during summer months. The LINK to the calendar shows that at least one side is available. If you are interested in renting entire house please e-mail or call for availability.
* All rentals that are one week or more include departure cleaning.
* Monthly rentals available from October to March, call for rates and availability.
* No Smoking and No Pets allowed.
* Weekly rentals only during the summer and run from Sat-Sat
*** Nightly rentals available Sept through May with a 2 night minimum (you will have to pay cleaning fee) ***
Monthly rentals(1/2 side or whole) Oct-Apr and Nightly rentals Sept-May (2 night minimum)

June 6-12 and August 15-30th $2000 a week for both sides

  • We had a wonderful time at 4 Crabs by the Sea. The connecting units worked well for our large group giving the right amount of togetherness and separateness. We would have liked to have had cutting boards, a hand mixer and a blender on each side. (there was one. Other than that it was well equiped. The outside showers and hose on the deack approach were wonderful. I would happily stay here again.

We loved being able to look out the windows and see the beach at any time. I would recommend this property to everybody. We are looking forward to going back sometime.

  • "4 Crabs by the Sea" was a wonderful place to stay. It was clean, lots of room, and everything was very comfortable. The beach was so close we just left our things down at the beach all day and came and went as we pleased. My family consisted of young and old and everyone had a Great time. I highly recommend "4 Crabs by the Sea".

  • My family had never been to Holden Beach. We really liked the area and it was very convenient to Wilmington and Myrtle Beach. The house was well laid out and well equipped. It had a great pot for boiling shrimp. The rockers on the back porch were great to decompress in after driving and to eat a bowl of cereal in the morning. We found the local people to be friendly and would recommend the house and the area to any family. We only rented one side and I think it would be perfect for a large group to rent both sides.

    What an awesome way to spend our anniversary. The weather was gorgeous and the kids swam their hearts out. We hope to make it an annual event. Loved the fireplaces.
