Working with Debi to arrange the house was very easy and straight forward. The house was very comfortable, a great neighborhood, quiet, and a convenient location. It is easy to get down town, to local brew pubs, cafes, the "baked" bakery (which we loved), the Newport market (which we loved) and much more. The kitchen was easy to work in and adequately supplied. An added bonus was to have the computer available for use and great music loaded. We brought our own computer but found we rarely needed to open it up. They even had shortcuts on the desktop that were very useful (Mt Bachelor, weather, local interests, etc..) The only thing we would add is that if you like a firm bed, this one could be a challenge. We would definately recommend and return to Jackson's corner!

The house was nice. Great space for two, warm fireplace, and fun location. We would walk across the river each day and check out the night life. Found a local band performing in front of a local bike shop that served beer and coffee. That was a blast. Overall the owners were prompt, responsive, and a joy to work with. Thank you!

We just got back from 4 days in Bend, and stayed at Jackson's Corner! We LOVE the bungalow! Perfect location! Walked to get Bagels, just around the corner, every morning. Walked to town for the Christmas tree lighting and the Christmas parade was a block away! Walked to 10 Barrel a couple times too! Cibolli's Pizza was just down the street and was excellent! Over the past few years, we have rented several VRBO's in Bend, but this one had the best location and is our favorite by far! The house is adorable and had everything we needed right there! I would recommend this property to everyone, but maybe I shouldn't, since I want to make sure it's available for us to rent the next time we come to Bend!

Owner response: We are so glad you had such a nice visit! Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we look forward to seeing you here again!

We loved staying at this little house in Bend! It had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and quiet. My husband and our two daughters came to Bend for a wedding at the Pronghorn Resort. It was convenient to get there but also to visit the wonderful town of Bend. The access to downtown across the unique wooden foot bridge and Drake Park made for a beautiful scenic walk. The property will look much better once the landscaping has matured but it is unfortunate there are no trees around the house.

This 1918 home in Bend's desirable West end has been completely modernized and updated, with a spacious living/dining area and bright, well appointed kitchen. It's the perfect place for a couple or small family looking for a quiet home within walking distance of all of Bend's highlights, including Drake Park, downtown, the Old Mill District, as well as the shops and restaurants on Galveston and Newport. The owners (who are Bend locals) are experts in supplying everything you could possibly need to make yourself at home, from books, games and DVDs to glassware, dishes and pots/pans. (The kitchen has more stuff than our own--including a rice cooker!) We had stayed in the owner's other rental (the Columbia Street Retreat) and found Jackson Corner equally modern and comfortable but more spacious and private. You'll feel as if you actually live in Bend in your own home on a quiet corner lot. Like us, you'll wish you never had to leave!

What a great spot! This is the second winter my wife and I have spent the month of February in Bend. For us, it’s primarily a ski vacation, so having a functioning garage is a priority. It’s so nice to head for the mountain in the morning without having to scrape the windows and windshield! And the location is outstanding. We were two short blocks from Galveston (Westside Bakery and Café, Brother Jon’s, Ten Barrel Brewery) and an eleven minute walk from the center of town (Franklin and Wall) via the footbridge across the Deschutes. The cabin is roomy for two (more would be a stretch), clean and fully functional. And for us, the owner’s “no pet” policy was a huge plus. If you’re looking for vaulted ceilings, a great room, slab granite and a Wolf appliance package, Jackson’s Corner is probably not for you. But if you’re looking for good value in a great location, give these owners a call!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cute bungalow on the westside of Bend. It is ideally situated 1.5 blocks from Mirror Pond (on the Deschutes River, in Drake Park). Cross the bridge over the pond and you are in the downtown Bend. The location could not be better!. The bungalow is set up for a very comfortable stay. It was very recently and thoughtfully remodeled and is completely stocked with all needed kitchen equipment, washer/ dryer, gas stove in the living room and small heater in the bedroom. A small family of 4 fits quite nicely with 2 people in the bedroom and 2 on the fold -out futon in the living room. Everything was impeccably clean and in great condition. Will definitely stay at this bungalow again if we return to Bend. Very helpful and friendly owner.

This is a great little house that really gave us the feeling of living on the West Side. The house has all the amenities for comfortable living and is walking distance from too many great things to name here. The owners are superb; not only friendly, but very conscientious and considerate as well. We look forward to returning.
