A group of 11 friends (early 30s) visited this house for a wedding. We had such a great time and would do it again! The house is so nice. It's covienent to the town, and extra special since it is off the main road. This gave us extra privacy and less noise from the traffic. There are a lot of steps down to the lake, but totally worth it once you get there! We all spent time there daily. The floating raft off the beach was used a lot! The kayaks and other water toys were an added bonus! There was plenty to do! The house had everything we needed! Its spacious with plenty of room and privacy when you need it. The kitchen has most anything we needed ( pots, pans, utensils, etc.). We made dinner almost every night. There was even a cooler in the closet that we used! We enjoyed every night on the deck and in the hot tub! There were plenty of seats, around the table and extra behind the house, to accomidate all of our guests. The owners were so nice to work with. We couldn't thank them enough for working with us so that we were able to stay in such a beautiful home and have so much fun!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

My sister and I (with families) rent a house in the Finger Lakes region each year. This was our first year to rent this property. We were not disappointed. The house itself is well-maintained and clean. We had plenty of space for 10 people, and the outside deck/patio area is the nicest of any property we have rented. Each morning, my favorite spot was sitting in an Adirondack chair, admiring the view while enjoying my coffee. The stairs to the lake are a lot -- I believe about 160; however, they are very well-maintained, and once you are at the bottom, the view and surroundings are the best. The kids loved the swim raft and spent most of our days down at the water. We would definitely rent this property again, and would recommend it highly.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

We rented this beautiful lake home for our yearly family ski weekend. The house was all it was described to be and more. We found it to be comfortable and large enough to accommodate our family of 6 adults and 4 children perfectly. We had three separate families so it was perfect. A bedroom for each set of adults, a bathroom for each family and places for the kids to sleep. Most importantly there was plenty of kitchen seating and dinnerware for everyone. The same is true of the family room. So often a home will sleep a large number, but not fit everyone when it comes to meals and relaxing. Not true here! We loved hanging out in the roomy kitchen and cozying up to the fire after a day on the slopes. We went during the winter to ski and found the proximity to the mountain to be very workable. With limited ski in ski out, especially for larger numbers of people, this was a perfect alternative. In fact the proximity to many major areas for food and entertainment was fantastic. Lots of options available in these departments! The view of the lake and privacy were great. We’d be happy to return should the need to stay in the area ever arise in the future.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

We shared this house with my sister's family while visiting relatives in the area over the winter holidays. The house is beautifully finished inside, with a large eat in kitchen, big central living room, and plenty of privacy in the sleeping locations. The lot is down off the main lakeside road amidst trees, so you don't get the road noise you have with some lakeside properties. We took advantage of the hot tub and fireplace for our winter stay, but did not venture down to the waterfront much. Lots of room for cooking, eating, entertaining and sleeping! Great for families!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

The house is in immaculate condition, whoever built the house did an amazing job. The house is very clean, large, and open with great views of the lake. Canandaigua lake is very picturesque and a great place to vacation and the house is minutes away from quaint upstate NY villages. Plenty of year round things to do in the nearby area such as shopping, swimming, fishing, boating, x-country skiing, and outstanding bicycling. I would definitely recommend this place to those looking for a quiet vacation spot yet not too far from local attractions. A beautiful house overlooking the lake sold us on renting this place. We will hopefully return to this house some day.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
