I have enjoyed the hospitality at il Palazzo for many years. I stay there annually during a business conference in Bologna, but I linger on for a week or so to enjoy the solitude and beauty of the place. I've been invited to cook with the family and it has transformed my own cooking. The proprietor is a consummate professional who has become a good friend and has bailed me out of numerous dilemmas that are typical of what Americans face if they spend any time in Italy. There is no place in the region, and I have explored it extensively for over 30 years, that I can more highly recommend.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
