Many thanks for your kind words Pat and Dennis. We absolutely loved having you here in Scotland and being in a position to show you folks some of our sights and sounds... from bagpipes to beaches. You both tackled the very difficult Carnoustie Course magnificently...making it appear effortless and easy...something that even the professionals struggle with! Many of the locals were asking after you on your return and we would all be delighted if you could make a return visit in the very near future!Did you find this review helpful? The time we stayed at the "Cottage" was fabulous. It was welll maintained and extremely clean. Carnoustie is centrally located, so travel without a car is easy. We were a few minutes walk from the train, which we took to Dundee (20 Minutes), Glasgow (1.5 Hours), and Stirling (1 Hour). We drove to Loch Ness and Aberdeen (3 hours). There was so much to see there that we spent the night. The days between our sightseeing we stayed at The Cottage, played golf, went for walks and visited many of the local pubs. We are from the US and were very impressed with our home-away-from-home. The owners were local and helped us with whatever we needed. I would highly recommend this cottage to all of my family and friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We are just finishing a month's stay at the cottage. It has been a great experience. The town of Carnoustie is very nice with lots of wonderful pubs/eating establishments within walking distance. We have played golf several times with a superb day at the Carnoustie Championship Course. For those that want a 9-hole course there is great little track in Kingennie. There are Four of us and the house has worked out extremely well. Colin and Aileen are wonderful people and have gone out of their way to make us feel at home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: We are so glad that you came and stayed with us here in Carnoustie and sampled the hospitality, food and drink, which is all within a couple of minutes walk. The 'Monday night squad' in the local pub...The Station... will miss your participation in the quiz and the general banter that you got involved in. Great fun for eveyone involved and your chair at the bar will be held open for your return.Hope to see you both again in the not too ditant future. Panda, our Newfoundland is missing getting fussed and petted over from Shirley.
