This was our 2nd stay at the Minnow Cabin...and it won't be our last...We are so very comfortable there...and you cannot get a better value anywhere around the lake...So, I do believe we have found our North Shore "home"! Had a great 5 days of springlike skiing at Northstar and Heavenly...and discovered the great doggie beach a few miles away in Carnelian Bay at Watermans Landing...Our young lab, Spencer, was thrilled to get to swim every afternoon. Thanx again for for everything, Shannon, and we do hope to book again soon for late summer.

Our family of 3 (2 adults and 1 infant) spent three wonderful nights at the Minnow Cabin. The location is superb! It is literally across the street from King's Beach with walking distance to many restaurants, but it is close to Truckee, Northstar, Mt. Rose, and Incline Village. It's a great central location for exploring all that north Lake Tahoe has to offer. The views of Lake Tahoe around this area is absolutely breathtaking! The owners of this cabin are fast at responding to emails and phone calls. When I arrived in the dark and couldn't find the cabin, they directed us via phone of how to get there. They are super baby friendly so if you don't want to miss out on a great winter vacation when you have a little one, this place is perfect. The owners provided a pack n' play, crib sheets, and a high chair for my baby. On top of that, there is a huge tub of toys appropriate for ages 0-4. My son had so much fun playing with all the toys there. There are great family friendly activities around such as the Kids Zone museum and sledding hills in Incline Village. You'll find all the necessary amenities at the Minnow Cabin provided by the owners. You can bring your own groceries or shop at the grocery store down on lake Ave. We had everything we needed to make meals for our family. There is a huge flat screen TV in the living room already hooked up to Netflix for entertainment. The heater is adjacent to the dining room so it's easy to keep the place toasty in the winter. I love their couches in the living room because they are so comfortable! They also have a dog run on the side of the house, but I don't recommend it in the winter time because it is covered in snow. I know that the cabin says it accomodates 5 comfortably. I would agree with that, but I would say that it should be a family of 5, and not 2 couples and a single. There is a queen bed in the bedroom. The other 3 would have to stay in the living room on the sleeper queen sofa and the couch. That would work better for teenagers or kids rather than adults.

My 16 year-old son and I stayed at the Minnow Cabin during Christmas break from school to ski/ride at Northstar. It was super close, which was AWESOME (vs. long drive down to Sacramento) and convenient. How nice to be "home" 20 minutes after our last run, vs. 2 hours. In addition, the cabin itself was cozy and very clean. We were comfortable, and it was like home away from home. It had all of the necessary conveniences - ie. fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, linens... and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. Great for evening walks. Finally, it was close to town - everything within waling distance, including the lake. I highly recommend the MInnow Cabin!

The minnow cabin was in a good location, walking distance from the lake, about 20 mins to Northstar (although one of the more expensive resorts which was a bummer because we only went skiing one day to save money!) The cabin was well stocked with everything! Really comfortable, clean, cozy, resourceful, and cute! Would definitely come again! Thanks! :)

We stayed at the Minnow Cabin for one week in September. The cabin is very nice and well equipped, actually better than what we expected. It was great to have full kitchen, washing machine and dryer. Also the location is perfect, we liked Kings Beach with its nice beach, little shops and restaurants. We hope we will be back one day and we would like to stay again in this cozy cabin!

We just got home from a Labor Day weekend at the Minnow Cabin. It was myself, my husband, and our dog and it was absolutely perfect!! We have rented homes all over the country and were very impressed with this home. It was super clean, modern, and fully stocked. Shampoo in the bathroom! Every utensil you need in the kitchen! Laundry! Beach Chairs! You will feel like you are at a hotel. The location is great - walk to Kings Beach, Java Hut for breakfast, a doggie bakery, and more. 1 mile from Safeway and an easy ride to Tahoe City, Squaw, etc. We cannot say enough about this adorable home and location. If you have just the two of you or small party, this is the perfect place for you!

Had a great experience at the Minnow cabin. The description was spot on and the cabin was fully stocked with everything imaginable. We enjoyed it so much, we extended our stay. If you have dogs the cabin has a fully fenced backyard that allows peace of mind while you go out and about. We will be back in the future and thanks for everything!

My 14-year old son and I stayed here for three nights this summer. The cottage is very cute, clean and comfortable as described. It's only about a 3 minute walk to the beach and to many shops and restaurants on the main street. The best part for us was its central location to summer-time activities. We went downhill mountain biking at Northstar - and it was only a 15 minute drive. The next day, we went in the opposite direction to Sand Harbor in Nevada for "stand up paddle boarding" - another easy 20 minute drive. There are also some nice hiking paths nearby. I definitely hope to stay in this cottage again another time - it's a great find!

Much time has passed since we stayed at the Cozy Cabin, but I am still dreaming about how lovely the time we spent there was. It is a great location and allowed us a great place to eat, rest, reflect and watch the birds after a busy day. It was fantastic! We can't wait to go back.

This cabin on Kings Beach is AWSOME!!!! We already came couple of times and we always feel like at home. This place is clean, cozy and definitely welcoming. Minnow cabin has great location. Walking distance to the restaurants, cross the street from the beach and only 15 min drive to North Star resort. It's perfectly furnished, the kitchen has everything you need to cook family meals. Queen size bed is comfortable and also has pull out sofa in the living room. ( easily fits family of 4). This place is also very dog friendly and our dog just loves it here. There is a good size back yard and the owner has doggie bowls and bags in case you forgot yours. Shannon is great, really easy to reach on her phone and if you have any question, she is always there. We had an amazing time here and we definitely will be back soon!!! Thank you Shannon

My family (wife and 2 young kids) had a great time at the cabin. It had everything we need. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The cabin was a short walk to the beach/lake and many restaurants and shops. The owners were very easy to deal with and answered all of our questions very promptly.

Very charming and comfortable cabin at King's beach, very accessible to some great restaurants around the area, some of them like log cabin cafe is just a walking distance, also the Kings beach recreation area is walking distance where you can walk your dog. Overall its a great location since its near northstar ski resort and other ski resorts and we have a very restfull stay, very comfortable bed and also has a well equipped kitchen if you like to cook, its a great cabin for two people and a dog, definitely want to stay there winter or summer!

My husband and I took our 15 month old daughter and our two little doggies here for a weekend in the snow! The cabin is very clean and has everything you could need for a little one (pack and play, toys) and for the dogs (doggie clean up bags, bowls, fenced yard). The bedroom is cozy and the kitchen is very well equipped as well and although the cabin is only a 1 bedroom the layout is great, so it doesn't feel small or crowded at all. The owner is VERY responsive and very pleasant to work with. We were very close to Northstar for skiing and sledding and VERY close to the lake, which I know would be a great location for the warmer months! We will definitely look to book here the next time we make a trip to Tahoe! Thanks again!

This cute and cozy cabin is super clean and well appointed. It was perfect for two adults, two kids, and a dog. The location is very convenient to several ski resorts and many restaurants. This was our first time staying at the North Shore, and we really enjoyed exploring all the great restaurants in Incline Village, King's Beach, and Tahoe City. On New Year's Eve we went to Squaw Valley to see the fireworks show - it was fantastic! The kitchen is very well equipped, and you can do a lot of cooking. Dog bowls and cleanup bags were provided - very dog friendly.
