What a great property!! It is a hidden gem in the appalachian trail area. It is warm, inviting and a great place to go and get away from city life. Ramona and Howard are great innkeepers. I was able to enjoy some tubing action while there. Nightlife included wine on the porch and watching fireflies. I plan on coming back in October for the fall foliage. I am going to stay longer next time, went way too fast. I stayed two nights and it was not enough time to take it all in.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Of all the traveling and vacation spots I've visited, this was the hardest place to leave. The comfort of the living quarters and surroundings were remarkable. A writer's paradise for tranquility and peace of mind. Ramona and Howard were professional and courteous with all services and activities available in the area. The property was clean, homelike and comfortable. A must return over and over again.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

What a nice surprise to see our private, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean apartment! Howard and Ramona are such a nice couple and the perfect hosts. Our breakfasts were made to order and always delicious. There is so much to do in the area, even for an erderly couple like us. Downtown Blue Ridge with its many shops and restaurants is charming, and the apple orchard outside of town is a "must visit". We did some hiking and saw waterfalls, and the multi-colored foliage throughout the North Georgia mountains was breathtaking -- a photographer's dream come true! We will definitely be back to Howard & Ramona's B&B in the future, as it is in the perfect location for exploring the beautiful Blue Ridge area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I have stayed here twice. On our first trip we stayed for 2 days, and had a fabulous time. We returned a few months later, in July, and stayed a whole week for rest and relaxation. The weather was excellent; warm days and cool nights. Howard and Ramona had a great list of things to do -- waterfalls, tubing, rafting, hiking, (Aska Trail), horseback riding, apple picking, and scenic driving directions to Tennessee and NC, just to name a few. Best of all we loved their modern and spacious accommodations, and plan to take our granddaughters soon for the Fall Foliage!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My wife’s and I first time visiting Blue Ridge Mountains. We were looking for a nice tranquil place to relax and enjoy nature. Our private accommodations were beyond our expectations. Very relaxing and peaceful! We were walking distance to the river, 5 minutes to tubing/rafting, and 20 minutes into town. Howard and Ramona were very hospitable and informative with sightseeing and local events. Very informative on Appalachian Trail and Chattahoochee National Forest. Oh, and they weren’t kidding; Mercier Orchards has the best apple turnovers (fried apple pies)!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

The owners are suck wonderful people and if you have any questions "just ask" There is so much to see and do in the area we can't wait to go back. The B&B had everything we needed and was spotless. We highly recommend this B&B for a quiet getaway with many activities and attractions "Hiking" Tubing" White Water Rafting" and so much more.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: Our names are Ramona and Howard. We are in our mid-forties and have lived in Florida for most of our lives. Ramona owned and operated a day-care center in St. Petersburg and Howard was a maintenance technician for a large condominium project. We both enjoy hiking, boating, fishing and cooking.
Why the Owner Chose Blue Ridge:
During our mid-life crisis in the summer of 2010, we made an exploratory trip to the North Georgia mountains and fell in love with Blue Ridge. We were looking for a full-time residence and, after spending many hours with a realtor, we chose this particular property mainly because it was not a cabin but a home. This is an older house, the inside of which had to be totally renovated.
We moved into our new home in April 2011 and have spent the summer preparing the separate ground floor living area for the B&B.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
After the hectic city life and the Florida heat and humidity, we now enjoy the peace and serenity of the North Georgia mountains and the change of seasons.
