This bright and sunny A-frame is the quintessential Oregon beach cottage: casual, laid-back, but equipped with all the basics you'll need to enjoy a fantastic weekend and walk to the beach every day!
The main room has rustic wood-paneled ceilings, adding to the vintage charm of the cottage. The kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare the fish you caught earlier that day, and you can enjoy them at the small, sun-drenched dining table. Settle in with a good book on the comfy sofa, made even cozier with a fire in the wood stove on chilly nights. The bedroom has a queen bed, and the loft has a twin futon, plus extra mattresses for additional guests. There's also a television with DVD player, but the best part of the house is undoubtedly the expansive wraparound deck, which is bathed in sunlight in the afternoons and the perfect place to breathe in the ocean air. The cottage is also pet-friendly, so no need to leave any family members behind.
The house is just a short five minute walk to a long stretch of sandy beach, reaching all the way to Oceanside. Spend a day strolling along the sand to this quaint coastal town, or head to Netarts Bay for some of the region's best clamming, crabbing, and fishing. This charming vacation home makes a great home base to explore the riches of the Northern Oregon Coast!

The property was well stocked with cooking gear, laundry supplies, and bathroom stuff. Easy to find, and close to the shore. We were there mid-August, and thought it would be warmer. So, even in late summer bring jackets and warm clothes. We visited Cape Meares 8/15 in the early afternoon and between the wind and the fog it felt like winter. Brrr! The property was a good deal for the price, we were very satisfied. We were even visited by a young doe early one morning.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We enjoyed our stay. Netarts is nice and quiet. The property is quite private. It is a good basic cottage. The bed was quite comfy - the loft can sleep a whole bunch of kids or adults who do not sleeping on matresses on the floor. The wood stove worked well and the kitchen and bathroom were clean. The ebaches were great - lots of biking and hiking in the area - and of course anything on the water.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
