Enjoy a romantic Oregon Coast getaway at this beautiful beach studio, situated just a short walk from the sandy beach on the northern end of charming Gearhart. This retreat is on the edge of the Highlands Golf Course, but offers all the seclusion and privacy you would expect from an upscale property.
This sunny studio offers a luxurious four-poster queen bed and a sleeper sofa, making it ideal for a couple or small family. There is a full bathroom and kitchenette for light breakfasts and lunches, plus a hot tub and gas grill on the outdoor deck. Enjoy a movie on the cable TV with DVD player, catch up on your internet browsing with the free wifi, or plug your iPod into the provided dock to enjoy your favorite songs as you take in the beautiful ocean views. You can even bring your four legged friend (woof)to assist you in long walks. One dog under 30lbs only. A pet fee of $10.00 per night will be assessed.
Spend your days golfing, strolling the nearby beach, or take a longer walk to the gorgeous Del Ray Beach recreation area, which offers hiking trails, horseback rides, and whale watching. Downtown Gearhart is just a few minutes drive away, and offers antique shops, an old-fashioned grocery, a McMenamins pub, and an excellent cafe. Head five minutes further south to Seaside for the tourist-friendly Promenade and waterfront eateries, or hit up Cannon Beach for some of the coast's best restaurants, shopping, and art galleries - then return to your exclusive getaway for all the peace and quiet you could desire!

The property was very nice and very quiet. Beach access was easy. The only recommendation I would have for Vicasa is to let guests know what the protocal is for using the hot-tub or patio. We felt odd using it as it is located right outside of the kitchen window of the home owner (not private). Fortunately we met the owner, who is very friendly and accomodating, on the second day and asked about using the hot-tub. She needed to turn up the temperature to get it ready for us, which meant we had to wait, but at least we felt that we could use it and it didn't seem weird. The space was wonderful, private, cozy, cheery and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

This was a lovely place to stay. My husband and I came for vacation and really enjoyed it. If we vacation in the same area again, I hope this place is available.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
