'Tween the Waters is located on the peninsula of Indian Pass. Old Florida at its best, no hotels, motels or high rise condos. Sit on wrap around deck, feel the ocean breezes and chill out.
The beach is pristine, relaxing and offers shelling, surf fishing and wonderful strolls to watch pelicans, seagulls, skimmers, sandpipers, etc. Dolphins are commonly seen fishing and frolicking in the water off the beach.
The quiet neighborhood is perfect for biking. Golf carts can be rented in the town of Port St. Joe and delivered to you at the pass. Bring a kayak and paddle in the lagoon or over to St. Vincent Island. It is a kayakers heaven.
We have a cozy upstairs with two bedrooms. One with a double bed and the other with a trundle bed, full kitchen, living room dining room combo, full bath, flat screen TV w/DVD, Dish Network upstairs and downstairs.
The lower level is what we call the Bunkhouse. Large bedroom/efficiency area with two double beds, TV w/VCR, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot & toaster. table & chairs/benches, separate bath with shower. If you are an early riser just fix yourself coffee and go walk the beach or catch those fish that are waiting a short walk away. Bring your cast net and throw it right off the beach. Washer & dryer are located in separate room. This area will benefit anyone who might have difficulty climbing stairs. It is easily accessible.
We have two sets of stairs (front & side) each lead up to a deck. There are gates at the top of each staircase that are not child proof but should help.
Large driveway will accomodate boats and the public boat ramp is only 3/4 of a mile East. After a full day of catching your limit, a hose is conveniently located to wash off your boat and a fish cleaning station to clean those fish you caught.
No boat? Just book a charter or take the Indian Pass Shuttle to St. Vincent Island (National Wildlife Refuge) to explore the miles of beaches. You might spot rare Sambar Deer.
Keywords: Two story house nestled just a 3 to 5 minute walk to beach or Indian Pass Lagoon. (Hence the name 'Tween the Waters)

We had an awsome time at tween the waters. We enjoyed the secluded beach and loved seeing all the dolphins. We took a trip to St. Vincent Island and really had a good day there. We found several sandollars, it is a beutiful island with lots to discover. The house was very close to the beach and was very nicely furnished. Very friendly and helpful owners and neighbors. I would highly recomend this rental to anyone looking for secluded beaches and to get away from the croweded highrise beaches. We loved it!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had an action packed week at this rental property. golfing, horse back riding on the beach, boating to St Vincent Island, collecting sea shells, dinner at the Raw bar, visited St Georges island and light house and relaxing on the beautiful white sandy beach. VERY FUN. The place was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Can't wait to come back next year. Thank you.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time at 'Tween the waters and loved the peacefulness of Indian Pass. The beach was beautiful, and almost empty. The house was perfect for our family of five. The upstairs/downstairs arrangement worked well with our family of two teenagers and one younger child who went to bed earlier and needed a quiet sleeping space. And the teenagers liked the chance to sleep in while the rest of us bustled about the kitchen in the morning. The owners' description and pictures are very accurate -- and we'd definitely rent this house again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I wanted a quiet place to relax for a couple of days and enjoy nature. This was a terrific place for doing that. The house was so sweet - just right for a couple but plenty of room for more if needed. The pictures are accurate. We only used the upstairs. It was so much better than a hotel room - so clean - just like being at home but in a new location. It only takes a few minutes to walk to a pristine beach which at this time of the year was often almost deserted except for us and the birds. There were spots on the beach where so many shells just lay there in such a colorful array. We went kayaking in the bay for 3 hours one morning and I highly recommend it. The owners were so nice and friendly and easy to work with. I could not have asked for a better place to stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We arrived after dark. No problems parking our 21' boat. Large accomodations on first floor, but since it was only two of us this time, we used the upstairs. Was decorated in a pleasing beach house style, we found the pictures and description in the listing to be accurate. Nice neighborhood and short walk to beach. Resturants in the area with great food, and several fish markets to purchase fresh shrimp and oysters. We'll be back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

We had a fabulous visit to Indian Pass, and will be back to this house next year if at all possible. The beach is as described - truly amazing that you can walk for miles and not see a soul... My children found seashells and sand dollars. The Marina in Port St. Joe is modern and beautiful, with great dining establishments overlooking the beautiful boats. The Indian Pass Raw Bar is a well kept secret and not to be missed. Oysters....amazing. Mostly, we enjoyed relaxing on the deck of "Tween the Waters". Writing this makes me wish I was there right now - beverage in hand!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This is a very comfortable place and a close walk to miles of beach. The owners provided us with a list of places to visit with phone numbers etc. to make your stay very pleasant. This is not always the case with other rental places. Also an introduction by a close neighbor was comforting as you will be a little of the beaten path. The listing was correct- pictures accurate and very clean ! A follow up call by the owner after the third day of arrival was a pleasant surprise. Would we recommend this place - Yes !Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1990
About the owner: Ernie and I married and raised our family in Orlando, FL. We have three daughters, four grandchildren & one great granddaughter.
Why the Owner Chose Indian Pass:
We fell in love with Indian Pass after spending a vacation here. We bought property and built our dream house. We bought Tween the Waters cottage for Ernie's father and when we retired and sold our dream house we kept the small house so we would always have a place on Indian Pass for the family.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We enjoy walking and shelling on the beach. The beach fishing is excellent and we have caught many species of fish while boating offshore. Our kids and grandkids love all the beach activities (chasing ghost crabs after dark is one of their favorite pass times). We love to just kick back and relax 'Tween the Waters
