  This beach house had everything we needed. It was clean and adorable and very well maintained and decorated. The A/C blew freezing even in the hot of the day, the water was nice and hot, and the beds were some of the most comfortable ever. There were plenty of towels, blankets, cookware etc. Anything you could need was there. The owners were extremely nice and very easy to work with. If you are looking for a cozy open concept type beach house it is perfect. Close enough to drive to the action but far enough away to have coffee on the porch and enjoy the silence. We have definitely found our vacation spot and we will be renting again in the future!!

  We very much enjoyed our stay at the fishing shack, love the layout of the place, great location, wonderful and helpful people to rent from, There were a few issues with the cable and the internet, but all in all it was a great place to stay, I am hoping to return again soon.

  The cottage was really nice, the weatrher was what we where looking for, not too hot, and for the most part sunny. Unfortunately most of the attractions that were listed as being open, were not, so i would suggest visiting closer to summer months if visiting Galveston island. As for the location of the cottagte, it suited what we wanted, a 5 minute walk the beach, and out of the way, so if you want to be in the middle of town and all the action this is not the place to be. This cottage is very open concept so there is very little space to enjoy to yourself if there are more than 2 people in your party. I would rate the rental property 4.5/5, and the over all vacation a 3.

Your visit came on the tail end of Mardi Gras and it was a quiet time on the island after the Fat Tuesday parade. Things usually pick back up on the weekends. That is one thing that we islanders enjoy is the laid back lifestyle and the slow pace in the winter. Come back Spring Break and Summer for more lively island activities!

  Nice, comfortable cottage. It's away from tourist area, so the privacy is good. Rained while I was there and was much happier to be there than a hotel. A Partition of some sort between beds and kitchen area would be nice. Would definately return.

  Such a warm and inviting place for vacation..This house has it all inside and out...just show up ready for fun. Great location, close enough to everything but very private, quiet and so close to the beach!! The beds and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever found on vacation. The outdoor showers were a lifesaver with kids. We would definitely stay here again and again!!

  Very private, clean, beautifully decorated, comfy beds, it was over 100 degrees when we were their and the air conditioner worked like a charm. Would highly recommend.

  We had a wonderful stay here! The beds were very comfortable, the place was clean and we loved the open roomy floor plan, and the fish cleaning station was a plus! We will stay here again!

  Stayed for the weekend to do a race and the place was quiet and very clean. It was a perfect getaway. Fairly close to everything with lots of room around the property. Would be a great place for kids and the whole family. The only recommendations I would have to make it even better is a nice set of cookware and olive oil and a nice selection of spices, and also keep standard condiments in the fridge. Other than that, a great economical place for those on a budget. I would definitely come back again. Owners are super friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable!! Thanks Linda!!

  This incredible cottage is very near the beach and close for bay or pier fishing. Very easy to navigate to and from. It was extremely clean and well stocked with anything you could need. Beautifully furnished with very comfortable couches, beds (awesome sheets, blankets & quilts) and a wonderful open concept. A full-size kitchen equipped with plenty of everything to make you feel at home. There were even spices in the pantry! Just a very warm and comfy feeling! My grandson enjoyed the short walk to the bay and nearby pond for fishing. There is even a really nice fish cleaning station downstairs. Nice private shower downstairs is great for a rinse from beach or fishing before heading upstairs. I am hoping we can always stay here on our visits to Galveston. The owners have outdown themselves on this property. I will certainly recommend this place to family and friends!
