Beautifully finished upper level unit of a duplex within walking distance to beaches, dining and shopping in South Haven. The house is on a corner lot with a separate entrance, parking area and lawn for complete privacy. Located in the peaceful neighborhood of Celery Pond and across from the Tot Lot family park/playground.
Recent updates include: new bathtub and tile, granite countertops in kitchen, painted cabinetry, new flooring, installation of Central Air Conditioning and new furnace

The 2 bedrooms feature queen size beds, new linens and deluxe mattresses, and plenty of room to hold your belongings. There is room for unpacking, including a large walk-in closet in the Master bedroom.
The spacious bathroom has a full tub and plenty of storage room for your personal items.
The kitchen is fully-stocked and nicely finished. The dining table seats 4.
There is a new, comfortable couch with chaise lounge that transitions into a bed for additional sleeping space. The TV has full HD cable package. High-speed WIFI cable connection for your use as well. You will also find a bookshelf with books, puzzles and games for your enjoyment.
The front porch is great for relaxing, chatting, and watching the kids either play in the yard, or across the street at Tot Lot park. There is a Weber grill (charcoal and charcoal chimney included)! Brand new fire pit with firewood included at no extra charge near the rear of the property (shared with lower unit).
You are a short walk to all the shops and restaurants that make South Haven the great beach town it is. There are many public beach accesses and parks on the famous North Beach within easy walking distance. The closest beach is .7 miles from our home. If you enjoy biking, hiking or just taking a stroll in the woods, the Kal-Haven trail head is only 2 blocks away for biking, hiking or strolling in the woods. There are two public boat launches just around the corner.
If you have a larger group, consider renting our lower unit as well for a total of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 TV rooms!
Summer Reservations: we do not allow a 1-night opening between reservations during the summer (Memorial Day thru Labor Day). When booking a reservation during this time, please ensure that you are not leaving just one night either directly before or after your reservation open (if you are booking directly before or after another group). If this does happen, we will work with you to adjust your reservation accordingly.

Cute Vacation House

The house was very nice and clean. Just a short drive (5mins or less) to the beach, downtown South Haven and the highway. Only problem was internet went out halfway through our stay due to storms and there was no cable TV. However, the dvd player came in handy for a rainy day and to entertain the kids between beach outings. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

About the host

Hosted by Adam and Susi

We've been married since 2010 and had our daughter in 2013 (she loves South Haven!). Susi graduated from Michigan State and Adam from Central Michigan. We have a yellow lab named Charlie and we love to travel! We both grew up near Detroit and lived in the Chicago suburbs for 8 years after college. During that time, we bought our South Haven home to have an in-between point to meet family and friends. South Haven is a special place and is really amazing in the summer.

Why they chose this property

After college, Adam worked in South Haven and we fell in love with the area. We always knew we wanted to have a home in South Haven. The summers are amazing and the winters are relaxing. Spring and fall are less crowded, the fall colors are beautiful! In a couple hour's drive we can be a world away from home and on vacation! South Haven is easy to get to, has everything a family needs while on vacation , and is close to other Lake MI towns like St. Joe and Holland. Looking for more space? Check out our lower unit! What makes this property unique

We loved this house right away. The fact that its a duplex means more people can use it and its very flexible for small or bigger groups. The location is perfect; a short walk to the beach or downtown, but on a quiet lot with a ton of privacy and peace. The yard is great for our dog and we hope other people will enjoy it too! If you have a larger group, consider renting both of our units for a total of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 living rooms!
