Getting there: Tampa International Airport 65 miles. Sarasota Airport 15 miles. Miami 170 miles, Orlando 135 miles.
White Sands Village is set in 7 acres of lush tropical surroundings and has its back to one of Siesta Key's picturesque waterways and yet is less than 200 yards from the the south end of Siesta Key public beach, and still only half a mile from Siesta Key village itself.
There is a heated pool (83 deg), his and her saunas, a common BBQ area, club house, private boat docking area, coin operated laundry with washer/dryers and private off the road parking. There is a reserved space for the apartment. Sorry no boat trailers or motor homes.
The fully furnished apartment has recently re-tiled floors, the double bedded master bedroom havng an en-suite bathroom, the second bathroom being adjacent to the second bedroom, which has single beds; both bedrooms have a TV and generous closet space. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped, the apartment is air-conditioned and all the necessary linen is provided. There is a charge for the departure cleaning service.
What to do after the beach: Siesta Key has some 150 stores, galleries, boutiques, salons and specialty shops. On top of that there is a great selection of bars and restaurants. If you manage to exhaust them down town Sarasota is but a short drive across the bridge with its renowned shopping, fine dining, and cultural attractions.
Temperatures: During the winter high season the temperature range is normally 71-77 F/22-25 C during the day and 50-60 F/10-16 C at night, with the summer temperatures just being a bit higher.
