This quiet bungalow is situated in the mountain woods of Rixhaven subdivision in Saluda, NC a quaint historic town with culture and character. Convenient location to Asheville, Biltmore Estate, Blue Ridge Parkway and numerous other mountain towns and venues. The Smokey Mountains of Western NC offer frequent festivals and acitivities year round. From floating in the Green River, whitewater rafting in the French Broad River, snow skiing at nearby areas such as Beech and Sugar mountain, there is plenty to do or nothing to do at the same time. Whatever your heart desires in that moment is within your grasp. The main floor has 2BR, 2BA, and a loft, with a basement level including a living room, bath and bedroom. Relax on the back deck surrounded by nature, listend to the sound of the wind, birds and other wildlife that abounds. Nestle by the fireplace or roast marshmallows. Play a board game and reconnect with family, take a walk down the mountain roads or walk to the stream at the park/recreation area in the subdivision. If it strikes your fancy, travel to the Blue Ridge Parkway and view magnificent waterfalls or nearby Linville Caverns. So much to see and do nearby.

My wife and I spent seven great months at Gina's cabin in 2012 -- March thru September. Serene, comfortable, and relaxing is how I would summarize our stay. Gina has furnished the house very well and went out her way to be sure we were happy with our DirecTV package and other amenities, including a new grill. Some "faves": master bedroom with a terrific king-size bed, walk in shower in the hall bath, atrium-style great room with gas fireplace, back deck with grill, and front porch with rocking chairs -- great for morning coffee, al fresco lunches, and wine in the afternoon and evening. Columbus shopping (Bi-Lo, Food Lion, fast food) is about 20 minutes down the mountain and about the same time to Tyron's shops and sights. We have been renting in the Mountains for 25 years in all that time we have never had a better Cabin or location. The time of the year was perfect this time but it was more than that. We had a perfect time do to the location there was so much to do in the area we enjoyed every part of our stay from the furnishing that was purfect to the shops within a 50 mile radius. A beautiful home with a lot of down home country style with what appears to be hand crafted wood work and comfortable beds/furniture. The home actually has 3 bedrooms and a loft that serves as a fourth. It was wonderful we have a large family and everyone got their own bed which never happens when we stay at a hotel. The owner was easily contacted and always returned e-mail quickly; we had everything we needed for a nice quiet comfortable stay in the mountains while visiting with family. The home is situated close to both South and North Carolina attractions but why would you want to leave the peace, comfort and quite of this home!Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind and wonderful review.
