Best Family Reunion Yet!
Our family came from all over Washington and even Oregon to make this place our vacation reunion destination. The house is clean and perfect for large groups. No need to bring any kitchen ware either! Plenty of deck space for everyone to enjoy the outdoors as well. we went to the beach every day, which is about a mile down the hill. Lots of room for tents and RV hook-ups too. Penny, the owner, gave us a full tour and answered all our questions when we checked in. We all had a fantastic time and plan to return again in the future!

A "grand" house at Grand Coulee...
A "grand" house at Grand Coulee...
The house was very roomy and we had more than enough space for 11 people. We enjoyed the huge kitchen, which was fully stocked with all the utensils and cookware we needed. The large deck looking out to the lake was appreciated by all and was a gathering space for meals, games and just sitting & relaxing. Extra bonus was the trailer where kids got to sleep and play "camp". We rented a Bayliner from KJ Watersports (highly recommend this place if you're going to rent a boat) and enjoyed a whole day on the lake. We ate dinner at Lapresa Mexican restaurant, which we also highly recommend. The owner, Penny was very accommodating and greeted us at the house for check in and check out. We would come back to this house if we had the opportunity to again.

The homeowner welcomed us with a nice walk through of this spacious 6 bedroom home. The home is designed for comfort, and obviously a lot of hard work was put into building it. The view from the home is spectacular! There is a gravel road that takes you to a private beach. This road is a little longer than I had expected, but we brought a couple of quads with us so wasn't too terrible. I agree that a tent canopy or a beach umbrella... something to keep the sun off, would be recommended. The boat launch was about 5-10 minutes drive away, and we were easily able to pull the boat up to the private, sandy beach and tie up to a tree. The lake was so quiet... we seemed to have the entire lake to ourselves! (I know this isn't true, but there surely were not many boats passing by) The fishing was great! Caught plenty of small mouth bass while we were here. Our family enjoyed the large, covered deck, the wonderful sound system (speakers throughout the house and outside), the horseshoe pit. Overall, I would highly recommend this home for a visit to Lake Roosevelt.

Fun Family Reunion
Fun Family Reunion
We had 22 of us staying here for our family reunion. One family was in an RV. We had plenty of room in the house. The beds were very comfortable. The deck was amazing and is where we spent most of our days and nights. The private beach was great. Make sure and bring shade tents because there is no trees for shade. We launched our boat at the state park which is a 5 minute drive. Once in the water the boat can pull right up to the beach and tie up to a log. The water was warm and all sand for as for as you can walk in. The only small bummer was that in a couple bedrooms, the dressers and closets were full of clothes, so we had to live out of our suitcase. All in all, we had a fabulous time and made some amazing memories. We would highly recommend this house and would rent it again. Thanks so much for opening your house up...we will never forget our time there.

Owner response: There are 2 bedrooms of 6 that we leave a few hung up garments. Half the closets are open with hangers & 90 percent of the drawers in the 2 owned bedrooms are empty. This is our private home so we want our guests to feel like they are at home. We leave general household supply's just like if you were to go to a friends home. You'll Love our house for your family & friends. Penny & Steve Dowen
We had a delightful week in this beautiful vacation home. There were 17 of us, ranging from 4 months to 60 years of age. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The kitchen and large deck are spectacular. We ate most of our meals and spent a lot of time on the deck. The view and the cooler evenings were great. The kids enjoyed the beach and the nearby state park. We also toured the dam and saw the laser light show. We would recommend this home to family and friends.

Owner response: Thank you for the nice review. Very nice family.
We stayed here as a family reunion with multiple families enjoying the lake. Great house, well cared for. Awesome sleeping porch (the kids slept out there in one happy heap) Beautiful views of a large lake expanse of the lake from the house and a healthy walk or a short car ride to the swim-able sand beach on the lake. We brought our boats, and skidoos for expansive boating, water-skiing, skidoos, and fishing. Near Grand Coulee Dam (we took the tour). Food shopping in Grand Coulee. Lots of family togetherness. Outdoor fishing cleaning sink. Dog friendly (ours was very happy here).

The porch comfort and size alone are enough to entice anyone to come here. The scenery was great and the nearby water sports were perfect for the kids. Decor is very nice. The kitchen layout worked well and we ate at the large tables on the deck.

We spent a pleasant and tranquil 8 days in the most beautiful home and unique landscape setting. I couldn't have asked for a better location. With a wide range in ages with children amongst us, entertainment was not a problem. The Lake was spectacular and the house was a perfect distance from the water to allow parents an opportunity to truly relax from the worries of the smaller children near the lake. In the early mornings or early evenings we were often entertained with the wildlife around us - it was breath taking! We had 26 children/adults in our group and we never felt crowded, the house was very spacious and inviting. My favorite room was the veranda - we gathered there to eat, talk, laugh, play, hold activities, read and relax. The activities were plentiful in town with the Grand Coulee Dam (tours & museum) nearby, especially, during the 4th of July weekend. Of course, not to mention the lake....boating, fishing, skiing and swimming - safe, clean and beautiful. What more could you ask for? A fantastic family gathering location - THANKS!!
