This magical home on a hill overlooking the town at the end of a cul-de-sac features a private west-facing entry courtyard with a polished, colored concrete patio and bar with built-in cooktop, barbecue and sink. Enjoy the last, warm rays of the evening sun from this protected from the wind courtyard. Out back, delight in a covered patio overlooking a garden below, surrounded by tall palm trees, fruit trees and flowers with a magnificent view of the Sea of Cortez. The lawn below is perfect for croquet. All 3 suites have air conditioning, small TV’s and DVD players. All beds have views of the impressive sunrise over the Sea of Cortez, if you choose to leave the black-out curtains open. Extra linens, blankets, soap, shampoo, beach umbrella, washer and dryer, and DVD’s/VCR tapes are available for the guests in the main level storage rooms.
The main level features the fully equipped kitchen, living room and master suite with a beautiful tiled bathroom. The tall ceilings throughout and abundant windows with views make it hard to ever wish leaving. The living room and bedroom have huge glass patio doors that open to the large, covered patio. The master suite has a queen bed. The living room features a huge leather sectional sofa, which could sleep 2 additional adults. A second shower and sink are in the storage room outside the main entry.
The upper suite is a bi-level masterpiece with tall ceilings. The sleeping area and bathroom overlooks a living area and kitchen 3 steps below. Spectacular views from abundant windows include a plush, cushioned bay window, large enough to fall asleep in with your book in hand. The bed is a queen and the living room sofa is a fold-out futon which could sleep one adult or 2 children. This suite is accessed only by exterior stairs so it is very private.
The lower suite is down exterior stairs from the rear patio so it is also very private. The entry opens directly to the lush garden, which feels like your very own. The suite has a large area and is surrounded with stone walls and regular flat ceiling. It has a raised king bed and a partial kitchenette with compact fridge, microwave and hot plate. This unique room has a cozy feeling, perfect for honeymooners, with a very appealing outdoor bathroom and beautiful tile only 4 steps away from the bedroom door.

About the owner: Sam and Holly are serious water dogs who love warm weather. Windsurfing, kiting, stand-up paddleboarding and snorkelling are just a few of our favorites. Biking and hiking are also a part of our activities. Although the fishing is amazing, we just like to eat them. Most of all, we love the scenery and people.
Why the Owner Chose Los Barriles:
We bought Casa Cielo because of the unsurpassed combination of location and view and to eventually retire here among the friendliest locals and part-time residents we've ever met in our travels. It's also the fastest destination away from our U.S. home. There are so many outdoor activities and a wide variety of sights to see in Baja.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We enjoy the quiet and central location, the views, the 5 minute walk down to town or up to Caleb's Cafe and art studio for fabulous views while enjoying delicious fish tacos and a cold cerveza. Our family enjoys the different water sports.usually at North Beach - a 10 minute drive. Excellent snorkelling can be had at Punta Pescadero - a 25 minute drive, or a 1 hour drive to Cabo Pulmo, the healthiest reef in the world according to a recent study. Most of all we love coming back to our beautiful home after a busy day.
