You will love this house the moment you arrive. We did!
Upon entering the house, you are greeted with a spacious and comfortable living area with 3 comfortable leather couches, a dining area for 10, high log cabin ceilings, ceiling fans, and a large rock fireplace. There are games for the whole family including Wii, board games, puzzles, and air hockey. And the large flat screen TV comes with cable, Blue Ray/DVD and Netflix. The kitchen is large and has all you need for the accomplished chef including a stocked spice rack and countertop seating for 6.
The master bedroom has the most amazing shower with multiple shower heads, there's a jacuzzi tub, an incredibly comfortable tempurpedic king bed, and the most amazing closet I've ever seen in a rental home. There are two guest rooms. A very comfortable room with a queen bed. And another with 2 sets of bunk beds. All bedrooms have flat screen TVs, cable TV, Blue Ray / DVD plus Netflix.
The backyard is fully enclosed and very comfortable. A hot tub, gas BBQ and 2 large picnic tables, plus extra seating for 10. There's plenty of space for the kids to play. When the snow is fresh, it makes for great snow cones.
The garage has a place to store your skis and boards and cubbies for boots after a tiring day on the slopes. Mile High Sports across the road provides our rentals. Sleds are available for you to borrow if you want to explore the mountains for some great sledding. Ping pong, a pitching game, and punching bags are in the garage too. A basketball hoop in the driveway.
You can walk a block to some great restaurants, and many more are also close by.
Keywords: Across the street from the Snow Summit shuttle; walk to restaurants; warm and cozy log-style cabin; never before rented, owner built and occupied; great kitchen with granite counters, and all you need for the accomplished chef; activities and entertainment for the whole family

No complaints. My family and I enjoyed everything about this house. The kids loved the jacuzzi, air hockey and ping pong table. All of the puzzles and games were also great! The fireplace was perfect for making s'mores. The house was clean and had everything that we needed and more. It is conveniently located to all of the attractions in Big Bear. If we plan another trip to Big Bear we will definitely book this place again. The staff at Big Bear Getaway were also very nice and helpful. Big thanks!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Why the Owner Chose Summit Estates:
We had been looking for a place to vacation with our large family of 7, plus extended family and friends. We fell in love with the house the moment we saw the pictures, and didn't want to leave as soon as we got there. It had everything we wanted, and was located perfectly to offer something for everyone in our family and our guests.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We've had great times at the house. We've enjoyed roasting marshmellows, cooking in the amazing kitchen, dining out on the back patio, and playing games with the whole family. Everything we like and want on a vacation is here. And the town of Big Bear has so much to offer like skiing, boating, hiking, fishing. The local zoo is a favorite for my little kids. And our favorite restaurants are only a block away.
