We personally greet each guest and provide them with an individual access code for the key less entry. Your private code opens the front door and there is a spot in the foyer to leave your foot gear and outerwear in order to ascend the deeply carpeted, wide staircase that leads to your private sanctuary.
Once inside you enter the spacious and light dwelling. The living room has a queen size fold out sofa and Sony Internet Access television to surf the web or watch Comcast programming. There is an office nook with a desk and chair. Great for business travelers or take a look inside the desk you will find bus schedules, maps of the area and brochures highlighting points of interest. There are two closets available to this space. Great extra storage for those occupying the bedroom or they can be utilized by guests staying on the fold sofa.
The two bedrooms boast queen size beds, plenty of closet space and an I-Home which provides music, alarm and I-pod docking station all in one.
The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless appliances a wonderful counter with stools and a pub table and chairs.
The full bath has a shower and tub, towels and is stocked with body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Inside the bathroom storage you will find extra paper products.
Our patio which features a table and cushions for six with umbrella. This outdoor nirvana can be accessed through the outside gate.
This beautiful home is convenient to downtown and all of Portland by car, bus, Zip Car, Car2Go or foot. Check out the map. We are in the most wonderful location!
Off street parking for one vehicle and plentiful street parking should you require additional parking.

This is our second trip to Portland in the last year. Both times we stayed at condos with the same owner, and both stays were fantastic! We love this area of Portland - it's very easy to get around, and Hawthorne Street offers everything from groceries to shopping to entertainment. The condo was extremely clean and comfortable, and easily accessible. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

I was in Portland for my baby sister's wedding. I stayed in the Urban Camp Site, which is a great combo of unique corkiness that is purely Portland. The Campsite was comfortable and welcoming. Having to share the laundry with the Nest renters was not a problem or an issue. Everything was perfectly cleaned and set up with the visitor in mind, everything I could have wanted was there. From shampoo to body wash, and clean fluffy towels. The Nest/Campsite is located about a block or so from great food and shopping. This space is perfect for one person, possibly for a couple.

Lovely, comfortable living space, well-appointed kitchen, easy walk to great food and shops in terrific neighborhood. Owner was gracious and very accommodating. Hope to stay here again.

This rental was absolutely perfect for us! We had no vehicle and relied on Portland's fabulous public transportation system to get around and it really was a breeze- even with our 13 month old! The location is awesome and in the heart of all the big happenings in the Hawthorne district. We found it was about an hour walk to downtown pushing a stroller and a very quick bus ride back. There were tons of restaurants and parks within easy walking distance. The rental itself had everything we needed from the kitchen, to the bathroom, to the laundry room and even the baby gear- we felt like we had everything we needed. Managers made it very easy to check in and out- they were easy to get in touch with and the keyless entry is a big bonus! I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay and enjoy the true Portland culture.

The property is very nice and very well maintained. It has all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable. The parking space off the street was very convenient and the Fred Meyer grocery store around the corner was a great place to stock up on groceries for your stay. There are many places to eat nearby, although we cooked in. However, we did not like the no shoes rule because we both wear orthopedic shoes. Having a light colored carpet on the steps seems like a bad idea even with the no shoes rules. People have oil on their feet that will eventually soil the carpet. The steps got old after awhile and the no party rule meant that we really could not have any of our friends over during our stay, because we thought that would be unacceptable and we did not want to jeopardize the return of our deposit. All-in-all, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay at El Nido.

Owner response: John thank you for staying with us and thank you for taking the time to write a review. We do pride ourselves on transparency. That is why the loft is described as a carriage style home above a garage. We host families with small children who enjoy the fact that their little ones can crawl around in a clean environment because of the home being shoe free. We do not have a "no party" rule. We do ask our guests to be respectful of the neighbors and not have overnight guests that are not accounted for during the reservation process. What has happened in the past is that two people will negotiate a price on the loft and then have numerous guests occupy the dwelling. We find that to be less than forthright and try to discourage that behavior. When you realized that you would have more than two guests the night before you arrived we were more than happy to adjust the rate to accommodate them. We always inquire how we can make our guests feel more at home in this home and provide contact information so that we are available to our guests 24/7 if they have questions or need help with anything.

This location could not be better. It was so easy to walk to excellent restaurants, the grocery store, etc. The apartment was very spacious, nicely appointed, bright, and clean. The owners set up a baby gate and pack n play to make our stay with young children easier. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We were very satisfied.

Just what I needed!
The Honeydew Condo was exactly what I was hoping for and much much more. I could not have felt more at home as it was so evident that Kim and Francis saw to it that every attention to detail was made during the planning of this cozy condo. The kitchen was perfectly set up with anything that one could need, the living area spacious sunny and inviting, and the bedroom super cozy and quite. The location of these condos feels truly ideal as it is so close to Mt Tabor park, has an awesome coffee shop and restaurant across the street (drinks at the Saphire Hotel a must) and is easy to access all the Portland has too offer within minutes. (note I did have a car for ease of transportation). Kim and Francis were incredibly flexible in accommodating my schedule and even gave me a private tour of another condo. These two know what they are doing and it is more than obvious that they truly want to do everything they can to make your stay as picture perfect as their little condos are. Any future trips to Portland will no doubt include a stay at the Butternut Condos!

About the owner: We are a family. We moved to Portland from Michigan. We own an 8-plex of condos and a vintage shoppe on Division called St. Salvage. Mom and Dad are chefs, our son and daughter are college students who help us run our businesses while pursuing adventure and higher education. We are managing this property for our dear friends Daniel and Julien as they begin their retirement years in Arizona.
