We had a group of 10 staying at the house for the Final Four. It was perfect for everyone to spread out and not feel on top of each other. We were only about 15 minutes outside of downtown Atlanta. There were a few problems with the house (ice maker didn't work, the cable had issues, etc.) but Erin attended to them promptly to the best of her ability. She even came over after one of our couples inadvertently locked themselves out on the back porch (from which there is no exit to the yard) and the rest of the houseguests were at a basketball game. We grilled steak and shrimp for a nice dinner one night on the grill provided. This was a fun house for a large group!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Before I signed rental agreement I was upfront with othe wner and asked her if it would it be ok to invite family and friends over for Easter dinner. Owner had not problem, but the her assistant tried to charge me a different fee that was agreed upon. So finally after days of going back and forth the owner honored the price we first agreed upon. Once we get to the property the grass was very high and the owner promised me that the lawn service would be coming the next day. Lawn service never come, however the owner finally did come the last and cut the front after several calls. I had promised the kids we would do a Easter egg hunt, but it was no on way they could do in that high grass. The inside of the house had a funny smell upon arriving. As the owner was giving me the walk around of the house we say bugs. The living furniture is very worn and dated. I did not even want to sit on it. They were using folding chairs at the dining room table. I was not pleased with this house at all. I asked the owner if we could get our money back and they replied its too late, so we had to suck it up and stay there. With some TLC this could be a nice rental property. It just was not the right house for my family. We did try to make the best out of the situation. O ya and I forgot to mention he owner is also very unprofessional.Owner response: We wish we could warn other homeowners of renters who break rules and bring 30 people without paying for them. We wish HomeAway and VRBO had a fairer review policy. This renter waited 10 months to stew about her stay. She seemed drunk upon check-in, and we believe she has done this to other unsuspecting homeowners. We state very plainly that this house is NOT A PARTY HOUSE. The renter did want to have a family dinner, though she was not completely honest with the amount of people and never asked us to have an Easter Egg Hunt. Our rules upon arrival at the house are to STAY OFF the FRONT YARD GRASS. It had been recently replaced and is irrigated underground. The grass was cut per the renter’s request on Easter Sunday morning by the homeowners themselves. The yard crew had not shown up on Good Friday, as it was storming Friday and Saturday, and they did not come that Easter Sunday either. An Easter Egg Hunt is against the rules, and the complaint is petty, as the entire backyard is huge, has a naturally beautiful carpet, and does not have the higher grass, as the owners don’t irrigate it. The front yard was also soaked from 2 days of rain, and it was too sticky after also being freshly cut, again by the homeowner per the renter’s unreasonable demands. The bug issue is minor, our home is exterminated, and they may have seen one bug, but the house is professionally cleaned after each group to the best of their ability, factoring in people coming in and out of the front and back doors, going in and out of the garage, perhaps not taking out the kitchen garbage as often as they should. There are many challenges the cleaners and homeowners face, and we do our very best to clean up after each group as well as insure the health and well-being of each group of travelers and the house itself. Our leather couches are in good condition, and we have a photo of our dining room with the folding chairs, so there are no surprises. We have already replaced them with cushioned wooden chairs, and the photo was on the site last year prior to this renter’s booking. Their price was $300/nt for 16 people, over Easter, to include a family dinner. That is a very low cost for such a large group and house, and they invited an additional 30 people to “dinner” that clogged the street and directly contradicts our rule of no parties that is reflected in the CONTRACT the renter signed. I do wish we could tell everyone to NEVER RENT TO HER!

This house was awesome per the space that accomodate ouf family. However please beware of the neighbor, she harass us as we would depart to our several events. *****BEWARE OF OWNER******* We had a very hard time retrieving our deposit back, It was well over the 30 days an several phone calls as well as emails sent to retrieve the money back. The owner was very unprofessional and rude about giving us our deposit back. Trust we had no problems with being in compliance with payments to rent this property. Will never rent this property again.Owner response: This house has a strict "no parties" policy, and while we do cater to large groups, we need to draw the line at having more people over than in the original group. We encourage responsible adults to communicate exactly what the customer wants from their visit before booking. This group did not inform us of what their intentions were, and the contract they signed plainly states that parties are not allowed. Also, they DID receive their full deposit back within the time the contract states, and they should not have complained on this review. If you are searching for a great place, please contact us and read our contract, and you will see all the policies in print so there are no surprises. This group arrived on a tour bus, and the driver parked in the neighbor's yard across the street. The homeowner was called and came to the house and told the driver to "move that bus," if you will. The wheels left deep trenches in the yard, and the bus driver should have known better than to do that in the first place. We want all our customers to be very happy with their visit, and we are happy to answer any questions ahead of booking to make sure that you enjoy your stay!

We live in the DC area and meet up with our Louisiana kin every summer. It can be a challenge to find a house that has enough space for all of us ... with wi-fi ... pet friendly ... big area in which we can gather ... separate bedrooms ... a place to park a motor home ... a good grill (my brother-in-law is great with steaks!). This house fit the bill in every way. It is comfy and in a very convenient location. We saw the Georgia Aquarium, an antique mall (Kudzu?), and Stone Mountain. The tvs in the bedrooms were great, too.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We took a group of 8 to watch the ACC tourney and couldn't have asked for a better place. Once we stepped foot in the house we loved it and the owners couldn't have been more helpful when getting settled in! There were plenty of beds for all 8 of us to sleep seperately and the Master Bedroom/ Bathroom was gorgeous. We spent most of the time on the huge back porch grilling out or watching games/ listening to music on the various big screen tvs throughout the house! Thanks for everything!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 9/9

In Atlanta for a wedding, a group of us stayed at the Gresham Getaway. The house has all the necessities and features great amenities, such as a media room, a steam-shower, and a huge deck and backyard. It is spacious and comfortable and easily accommodates large groups. The house is situated in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown, but as one would expect, it is easier to navigate the city if you have your own car than relying on taxis. If you're traveling to Atlanta with a group, you will have a hard time finding a better lodgings at a better value.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
