Loreto house description
Three families had a vision to build a destination Baja escape to be a counter balance to our full lives that would replenish our reserves with the beauty of the area and high-end accomodations of home. Our vision became a reality in 2009 with the completion of our adobe Mexican Casa as one of the few homes with 3 large bedrooms in the Founders Village of Loreto Bay. The white sandy beach and Sea of Cortex is a one minute walk from our front door to a full range of water activities including kayaking through an estruary like none you have experienced before.
As you walk through our wooden front doors, you will leave your cares behind as you encounter the open air courtyard filled with a tranquilzing water fountain landscaped with a big palm tree and colorful indigenous flowers. There are three spacious bedrooms one master suite upstairs, and two guest bedroom on the first floor. Two bedrooms have super comfy king sized beds and the third one has two cushy full size beds. All three bedrooms have the privacy of their own beautifully Mexican tiled bathrooms and walk-in showers. Two bedrooms have generous soaking tubs.
Enjoy drinks and dinner on the our deck with incredible sunsets followed by a clear night sky sprinkled with stars. Our home was furnished with hand-crafted Mexican furniture and televisions in each bedroom. Our community has a saline pool and hottub across the street.
The Loreto Bay Inn is walking distance. Our guests have full access to the amenities and activites available through the hotel. You can rent kayaks or snorkel gear right on the beach to Jaques Cousteau's "aquamarine capital of the world". As you kayak, don't be surprised to see the dolphines jumping, fish splashing and pelicans diving all around you. You can use the hotel pool, eat lunches at the poolside grill, read on lounge chairs with beautiful views of the ocean.
Love golf? Seasoned golfers have reported this 18 hole course to be one of the best in the country.Green fees are incredibly affordable with rental carts and equipment available at the hotel.
About five miles away is the quaint and safe town of Loreto where you can dine at local family owned restaurants, walk along the marina, shop or listen to local musicians.
We'ree opening our home to you to take advantage of the magic of Loreto and all it has to offer to refuel your spirit and have a blast at the same time.

Family Time in LTO
Family Time in LTO
This was our first trip to Loreto and it was amazing! Our extended family met us in Mexico and even with 8 we still had plenty of room. Our children (3, 4, 5, and 14) were never bored and split their time between the beach and the pools. We enjoyed breakfast on the upper patio watching the birds and mountains and had lunch either poolside or at the beach. Dinner usually was taken in town with a bit of exploring the local culture. The waters were clear and we saw lots of sealife (our 5 year old spent all of 2 hours hanging off the front of a paddle board with his snorkel gear)! We didn't have any trouble with stingrays and were able to play waist deep in the surf. The home was spacious and perfectly suited for two families with dual master suites. The cousins enjoyed bunking together in the third bedroom with 2 double/queen beds. Flowers, catcus and succulents are beautifully manicured throughout the community and the enclosed courtyard as well as seeing birds and lizards (very important for the younger boys)! The on-site staff are helpful and friendly and we felt completely safe both in the community and in town. We are definitely coming back and hope we don't have to wait a whole year!

The Perfect Getaway
The Perfect Getaway
We rented this gorgeous casa for two weeks in August and absolutely loved it. It has all the amenities one could ask for and lacks for nothing; full kitchen, upstairs patio, BBQ and outdoor dinning area and luxurious beds. Its beautiful and quiet; the ideal base to explore the wonderful town of Loreto and surrounds. A mere two minute walk from the beach, its the perfect location to slip easily into a serene vacation state of mind. Before we had even left we were already planning our next visit. Loreto has something for everyone; fishing, beach combing, whale watching, relaxing vistas, great food and wonderful, friendly people, truly magical. We hope to make this an annual fixture in our lives for the foreseeable future.

Going again in April
Going again in April
This was the most pleasant vacation we have had in years. We stayed here last November and liked it so much we are going back in April. The photos do not do it justice. The décor of the house is stunning, with original, high quality furniture, its unique and authentic with original handcrafted features. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with quality items. The owners clearly cherish this place. When we did venture out, the options were great; swimming, snorkeling and fishing in walking distance, further out, the town of Loreto is friendly, attractive and unaffected by tourism. We rented a panga to go fishing, caught dorado and yellow tail, and at one point were surrounded by a flash mob of over a hundred dolphin. In April, we plan to sail, bike through the hills, kayak and spearfish.

We spent Thanksgiving at this luxurious yet authentic, roomy, peaceful, fully equipped and well-maintained Baja home. The Mediterranean-style house faces on a piazza with exquisite landscaping. It's just a minute's walk from the uncrowded beach, where we snorkled and swam in the Sea of Cortez. There are a few bars and coffee shops nearby, and the unspoiled town of Loreto (just a short drive from the house) has a surprisingly large number of good restaurants, shops and historical sites. We hired a panga to take us to Isle de Coranado, fishing and watching doplphins along the way. We hiked into the Gigantas mountains. We also went scuba diving with one of the local dive shops. There are so many other things to do in Loreto that we plan to return. The owners were extremely responsive and easy to deal with. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for an exquisite location that can be quiet when you want to relax but that offers plenty of outdoor and cultural activities.

Christmas in Loreto
Christmas in Loreto
Our family just returned from Loreto Bay after spending two weeks over the Christmas break. We all had a wonderful time in Loreto and the casa was more than we imagined- the photos don't do it justice. The layout is ideal- tons of privacy and separation with the courtyard and upper terrace. Everything in the casa is modern and comfortable and I love the traditional architecture. A holiday with all the conveniences of home AND great Mexican food! What more could you want? Everyone within the development and in the town of Loreto itself was extremely warm, friendly, and helpful with anything we were searching for. One of the friendliest places I have ever been and I have travelled a fair amount. What drew us to Loreto was the variety of outdoor activities available and we took full advantage! By the end of our two weeks none of us could believe how much we had packed in and we were still left feeling that there were many stones left unturned. I would definitely recommend this area to anyone who wants a laid back vacation in a relaxing place with plenty of opportunity to connect with nature. Just be sure to check out the climate (temperature and wind) for the area at the time of year you will be visiting to ensure you will be able to enjoy all the activities you are interested in.

I had an amazing stay at this home. The grounds of the entire property are immaculate. I found it to be jaw-droppingly beautiful! The home is gorgeous, with an open, beautiful garden foyer. And everything was immaculate and clean. The house is well-equipped for anything you may need. I felt like I was living the life of LUXURY!! A short, beautiful walk to the pool and it is well-attended by pool boys bringing you cold beverages and meals and snacks. I loved the entire experience and the views are amazing. It is a little Mexican paradise and I would recommend everyone visit this home. I can't wait to go again!!!

Perfect family vacation
Perfect family vacation
This home was perfect for our family of 4. Very spacious, comfortable, fully stocked kitchen, and within walking distance to beach, 2 pools, snorkeling, kayaking, restaurants & mini-mart. Loreto Bay is a unique tourist destination. Unspoiled, protected marine park, friendly people. The Founder's Village has beautiful architecture and landscaping. An incredibly good value. The owner was very helpful before our departure and the property manager checked up on us several times. Lots of security in the area and we felt very safe. No problems with eating fresh fruit and vegetables from the local farmer's market. We just rinsed them with the office-sized water cooler provided by the owners. We went in June and were worried about the heat, but the casa has good a/c, and the ocean breezes kept us cool by the pool and ocean. June is actually a great time for sea life. We saw dolphins, manta rays, flying fish, a trumpet fish 2 whales & lots of colorful tropical fish.

My husband & I rented the Casa for 3 weeks in February. We came to Loreto to explore a new area of Mexico. We really enjoyed Loreto & Loreto Bay Villas. The casa is well appointed and furnished very comfortably. The beds and the bedding were especially comfortable....we slept well. If a problem arose during our stay it was taken care of asap. We found many activities to keep us busy. Fishing off the rock outcropping, just a short walk from the casa, was one of our favorite things to do. The cabria we caught were delicious! Especially enjoyed watching a couple of baby hummingbirds in a nest outside of the kitchen window. The one drawback to the casa we found was the lack of privacy out of doors, neighbors are near by, but it is the way all of the casa's are designed.
