Friendly and comfortable 1750 sq ft home in a very laidback and quiet neighborhood just off of US Highway 50. It has plenty of parking and is only a few minutes from Virginia City, Reno, and Lake Tahoe. You can be in a local casino, either downtown or down the street in less than 10 minutes. Nevada has the smallest capital in the US, but is still very nice and is worth the time it takes to tour our downtown area.
Keywords: Very comfortable home away from home, quiet and relaxing, golf, shopping, biking, skiing, boating, 30 to 45 minutes to Reno, Lake Tahoe, or Virginia City.

What a wonderful place to stay! This home was clean, quiet, and so very comfortable. We were especially impressed with the high quality of the linens - the owners did not skimp on the sheets or towels. The location is perfect for exploring the area. We enjoyed Reno, Lake Tahoe, seeing the giant sequoias in California, and the extraordinary beauty of the area.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

We needed a handicap accessible lodging so that Grandma could attend a Tahoe wedding. We were happy to find this one-level, easy entry place for her to stay and not be alone. She enjoyed the use of the amenities and use of the power chairs. The house is within walking distance of the golf course and restaurant, a wonderful hiking trail around the perimeter of the golf course and a casino with restaurant. Owners were very accommodating and the house is well appointed and comfortable.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

Stonehedge was a great place to stay in Carson Valley for our annual guys golf vacation. The location is very close to a number of nice golf courses and downtown Carson Valley. After a day of golf we BBQed each night on the patio. The gas grill was clean and large enough to cook an entire meal. the kitchen area was wide open and perfect for a game of poker after dinner. all the accommodations were as stated. dish washer, new fridge, plenty of plates, silverware and glassware, including nice size wine glasses. We had the pleasure of meeting Jack the owner during our stay. he was quick to fix a problem with the air conditioner unit. the place is comfortable and met our needs just fine. furinture and styling are dated so if you're looking for the latest in marble countertops and trendy furniture this isn't the place for you. but if you're looking for a comfortable, convenient place with friendly, caring owners, welcome home to Stonehedge. good value if our golf vacation becomes an annual event we'll be backRecommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

We consider ourselves very fortunate that we found Stonehedge on the internet and it was available on the weekend of our granddaughters wedding. It was ever bit as good as the photos indicated, maybe better and completely furnished with all that we needed to sleep, cook our meals and entertain our family members eventhough we were away from our own home. Some guest at our morning-after-the- wedding-brunch committed how beautiful the home was. The proprietors were accommodating in all respects. We loved the quail that welcomed us each morning and our only regret was that we didn't have time to use the beautiful golf course that is just a hop-skip-and-jump down the road. I would certainly recommend this property. Don't miss going to the the Schat's Bakery on Sterwart Ave. It is wonderful. We bought a bag full to put in our freezer. There are exciting things in all direction--Virginia City to the North East, Tahoe to the west and beatuiful mountain country to the South. Monitor Pass isn't talked about a lot but that is beautiful quiet country. Just follow the signs to Markleville and keep going South. WOW We came to enjoy our granddaughter's wedding and God's Country---It helps that we love the desert too and Stovehedge made it possible. Being in a Motel just would not have been the same.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

Oh my gosh...a lovely place to stay...we spent three, very short days, b ut we will be going back. The owners were so professional, friendly, and so very helpful with locating scenic places to visit. The comfort was extraordinary, every detail was taken to make our stay comfortable, and so easy to visit. Wish I could have brought the place home, because it's better than home...thanks to the owners for their amenities, and the cleanliness was a big bonus...thanksRecommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
