  My boyfriend and I visited mid March for a week and had an amazing time and enjoyed the perfect San Diego weather! Upon arrival we found the condo was described perfectly. It was clean. Everything you could need was provided. We had a beautiful view of the hills from the balcony. It really felt like home, and the fresh flowers in the kitchen and bathroom were a nice touch. On premises was a grill, pool, and hot tub that we used a few times. The condo, located on "hotel circle" was great location! We found it took no longer than 10-15 minutes to everything we did! Some highlights of our trip include Sea World, and the San Diego Zoo. We went to the St. Patricks Day parade in Balboa Park, had an amazing dinner at Brigantine on Shelter Island, the Shout House (dueling piano bar) in Gaslamp Quarter is a must do! Visited La Jolla to see the famous seals..what a sight! Walked over the boarder to Tijuana, Mexico, (I was a little unsure before going but glad i went!). Spent an afternoon beachside at the Wave House for drinks and had an excellent time! This was our first time to the west coast and we had such a nice time! I would recommend Darrell and Jeannies condo to everyone staying in the San Diego area..such great hosts and a perfect home away from home! Thank you for making our stay in San Diego so enjoyable!

  When I first looked at the listing for this property, I thought it was too good to be true. Everything about this condo is exactly as described. Furthermore, I found the owner was extremely willing to accomodate our children, including a baby. (A high chair and pack-n-play are available if you request it in advance.) The sleeping arrangements are somewhat flexible: queen bed and flat lounge-type sofa in the bedroom, plus two roll-away cots that could be set up in various places. The owner was extremely professional and easy to work with. When I neglected to give her my updated address information and my deposit refund went astray (my mistake, not hers), she quickly cut me another check.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  I have been meaning to write this for quite some time but since I am just now planning my return trip to San Diego I thought I should add my recommendation. Staying here was just perfect for us. The location was so easy to get around. I appreciated the convenient reserved parking as well as the guest car parking pass. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub which was a perfect end to a busy day. I wanted to especially thank Darrell for agreeing to take us out on his boat for a day of fishing - even on short notice. I thnik that was the hightlight of the trip for my grandson. I want to thank Jeannie for extra things that made staying there with our grandson that much nicer (the boogie boards). Everything was really done right and we cannot wait to be back. .

  My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and loved it. The place was very clean and relaxing. I would definitely recommend staying at this place.

  From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, this felt like HOME! Jeannie and Darrell take into every consideration for the traveler's comfort and and desire. The pool and jacuzzi were an excellent relaxation to a long day of sight-seeing and visiting. Being close to the highway and local shops (including Old Town) is also a treat. I recommned Casa Guadalajara in Old Town for a great margarita and authentic Mexican dinner. This is like a private resort you'll never want to leave. There are plenty of blankets, pillows, beds and towels for guests you may entertain yourself! Everything was just as described in the listing if not better. The unit was clean and ready for us! The neighbors are all cordial and pleasant also! We will definitely be staying here again! Having AC, a fireplace and a balcony to overlook the San Diego/Mission Valley skyline were also bonuses! My husband and I are San Diego natives and usually stay with family but this is our new home away from home! We were so close tot he beach that we went to and from the condo to change clothes and come back to watch the sunset! If you're considering a place to stay in San Diego, this is it.   Our family of four used this condo for a spring break getaway. Its location is exceptional which made getting to all the sights a breeze. We loved the small touches that Jeannie provided that created a very at home feeling. The entire transition from booking to checking out was smooth and effortless. We will definitely book this condo again for our next adventure to San Diego. Thanks again so much Jeannie!

  Thank you so much for allowing me to stay in your condo. I was not expecting to find myself so comfortably at home. I don't think that I will ever stay at a hotel again! Everything from the amazingly comfortable bed, to the lovely kitchen, made me feel at ease. Not to mention that the location allowed me to get to the city or the beach in no time at all. Thanks again for allowing a late check out. Our flight was delayed, and instead of waiting at the airport for an extra 2.5 hours, we relaxed at home. Thank you Jeannie and Darrell for an amazing time. This was my first time using VRBO, but you made it so easy. I will definately come back!!

  Thanks Jeannie for sharing your condo with us. It was all that was promised. We loved the special touches that you set up for us to make it seem like Christmas far from home! The condo is well equiped and had everything we needed. The location is just excellent. Every place we wanted to see was within minutes of the condo which made it super easy for us to get around.   I believe we are the first guests to stay in this great place. It feels very homey. We are having such a great time. Everything is close by and easy to get around. We have been to the zoo, to the beach, and took the trolley to downtown. The weather has been hot (in October!) but we were able to use the AC so that was nice. The hosts have been very accessible and answered all of our endless questions. Anyway, this place is great and I am so glad we chose it. Since we only only here for one more day I don't think we will get to do everything we want. We will have to come back!
