My husband and I, along with our two grown children and their spouses stayed here in July to celebrate our anniversaries and it was perfect for us. The three bedrooms accomodated us perfectly. And everything was extremely clean and well-kept. We appreciated the quietness of the Wawona area and had a blast at the nearby swimming holes, barn dance, and hotel barbeque. The rest of the park also exceeded our expectations and we were able to make many happy memories here. Thanks Susan for all your great information and for providing a wonderful place to stay!!

My family and I had a wonderful visit in Yosemite. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. We went on daily hikes and at the end of the day came back to the cabin to relax. There is a wrap-around porch with chairs, picnic table, and grill. There is also a nice swing right in front of the cabin. The location is awesome...right in the middle of the woods. We saw deer everyday which was cool for us "city folk". The cabin amenities were great: washer/dryer, everything you need to cook with in kitchen, DVD/TV, extra blankets in closets, etc. We plan on coming to Yosemite every year and will definitely stay at this cabin again.

Amazing Memorial Weekend getaway for three nights

Amazing location deep in the forest very close to the flowing river. The cabin very spacious, clean and comfortable. Comfy beds and nicely appointed kitchen with plenty of utensils. There are lots of extra pillows, sleeping bags and blankets in the cabinet as well. The deck is just awesome with awesome views and chance of viewing deers pass by to the stream near by in season. The swing in the front was a surprise to me upon arrival, and we thoroughly enjoyed that. I would recommend this cabin to anyone I come across since this is within the park and you can reach Yosemite Valley in about an hours from the cabin and Glacier point also takes about the same time. Nice picnicing area next to the river nearby.

My husband and I had the oppurtunity to take all our family with their children to Yosemite, (there were 10 of us), and this cabin fit the bill perfectly. Well located, not in the hustle and bustle of Yosemite Village/Valley-yet not outside of the park. The cabin is located in the small community of Wowona, which is lovely and had the weather been better we would have explored the river and heritage village. The kitchen was large enough for many family members to cook together, again with better weather we would have used the large decked areas and ate outside as well as in. We stayed an entire week, and it would was nice to have a washer/dryer. Thank you very much Horner/Hindes Cabin, we will all have fond memories of you. The owner was helpful and a pleasure to do business with, thank you.

The cabin is tucked away in the woods and was just great for our girl friends' getaway. Being inside the park was wonderful and saved much driving time. The cabin is first class in every way--spacious, great kitchen, and comfortable beds. Thanks, Susan.

Thanks for the opportunity to stay at the cabin. Our family (6 yrs through to 79) had a great time with swimming in the nearby river probably our favourite passtime. The cabin was great - had everyting we needed and is in a wonderful position. Its great staying in the Park and the cabin is very quiet but a very short drive / nice walk from all the activities at Wawona.

Our stay at this cabin was wonderful. The cabin is clean, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. It is as it appears in the pictures and also has a wrap around deck. The owner is honest and was quick to respond to questions and information. A lovely place where we would stay again if we return to Yosemite.

The week my family spent in Yosemite at your cabin in Wawona was a delight. We enjoyed the seclusion of the wooded site as well as the nearby South Fork of the Merced River. Our dinners at the nearby Wawona Hotel were especially memorable. The cabin's interior was immaculately clean, spacious, and well furnished. We enjoyed the separate arrangement of bedrooms which served the three generations of our family group very well. The cabins location made day trips to the various amenities of the Yosemite area easily accessible. We especially appreciated the prompt and cordial response to our rental arrangements. Susan, we hope to return in the future. In all aspects we would give your rental a 5 star rating. Thank you!

Dont waste time in browsing all the cabins in Yosemite. Just reserve this cabin without even thinking for a second. We stayed in this cabin during the memorial weekend and we were so delighted to find such an awesome house with all the amenities. The price is also very decent when you look at the the way it was well maintained and all the amenities and closeness to all the points in Yosemite. I had recommended this house to one of my friends and he too has reserved this cabin for the July long weekend. We told him not to look for any other house, just book it without even looking at the pictures. Such was our great experience staying at this house. And of course, the owner, Susan as well as the property management were also so great in quickly responding to all of our queries and providing us with all the required information.

Dear Susan, We stayed at the cabin in July 2006 and enjoyed it tremendously. This was our first trip to Yosemite ever and we wanted a place where we could stay with our two kids and my father (total of 5 people). The place worked out perfectly for us. The kitchen is beautiful with a huge new fridge, dishwasher, and all needed utensils etc.... There was an adjacent eating area with foosball table (which the kids enjoyed lots). The three bedrooms and two bathrooms made it very easy for all of us to live comfortbly in the same space. Probably the best aspect of the cabin is its proximity to the park and other attractions. Wawona is probably the best place to stay in the Yosemite area to see everything. The house is actually *inside* the park. On the other hand, it is away from the crowds that you see at the hotels in the main valley. We made day trips to the Mariposa giant trees, into the main valley, to glacier point and to the nearby swimming holes, hotels, and steam engine train. For lunch/dinner, the nearby Tenaya lodge is great and surprisingly uncrowded. On the other hand, we found it impossible to get food with less than an hour wait at the nearby Wawona Hotel due to giant bus tours. Never go there with kids. The nearby town of Fish Camp has a giant supermarket and lots of stores, restaurants, and shops for getting *any* needed shopping items. We're sold and returning there in 2007!

The house is AWESOME! In the middle of the woods (we saw lots of wildlife!), with a small stream for the kids to play in (at least in the Spring), & a wraparound deck to lounge on. Great kitchen, big rooms, updated appliances & furniture. The fooz ball table was a BIG hit. We fit 4 adults & 2 kids comfortably, plus hosted a few dinners with guests. Minutes from the Wawona Hotel & Mariposa Grove. It is a trek to the Valley-- at least 45 minutes-- but WELL WORTH IT for such a wonderful home. A great value.

We spend 3 days in the Cabin - and almost didn't want to leave... It has a great location, and is very well equipped with beautiful kitchen and great rooms. We will definitely try to go back!
