Our 4 bedroom 2 bathroom 2100+ square foot home has an open floor plan that features vaulted ceilings. Decorated with Southwestern touches, the home is inviting and comfortable. The many windows in the home provide an abundance of natural light, and the great room, living/dining room, and master bedroom all have views of the private, fenced, in-ground pool, as well as direct access to the patio/pool area.
Our kitchen is large and is furnished with a table and four chairs--perfect for the kids! Dishes, flatware, glassware, pots and pans, as well as small electronics and kitchen gadgets are all provided, as are plastic dishes and glasses for the pool area.
The great room can seat six comfortably and has a 46' HD LCD flat screen television and blu-ray player. Cable and assorted movies are provided. The great room has access to the patio/pool area.
The living/dining room are within easy access to the kitchen. The dining room table seats an additional 6, and the leather couch and loveseat in the living room seats an additional 5. This is a great place to get away to read a book or have a quiet conversation. This room also looks out onto the patio/pool area and has access to that area.
The master bedroom is large and is furnished with a king bed. The mattress is a pillow-top and is extremely comfortable. This room also has a 46' HD LCD flat screen television with cable. The master bathroom has a full size bathtub, a separate shower, dual sinks, and a large walk-in closet. A hairdryer is provided. Whether staying for a week or a month, there should be plenty of room for your belongings. The master bedroom also has a view of the pool and access to the patio/pool area and a Bistro table and chairs to enjoy your early morning coffee.
2 of the other 3 bedrooms are furnished with queen size beds and the same pillow-top mattresses as the master. These rooms both have walk in closets and plenty of room for whatever you bring with you.
The last bedroom is furnished with two twin beds. We think of this as the kids room! This bedroom has a regular, sliding door closet with plenty of shelving.
The second bathroom serves these three bedrooms. It has a full tub/shower combo and dual sinks. A hairdryer is also provided in this bathroom.
The patio/pool area is large and has a table and 6 chairs for meals. If additional outdoor seating is required, the Bistro table and chairs provide seating for 2 additional people. There are 2 chaise lounges and two gravity chairs for sunbathing. A stainless propane barbecue is provided in case you'd like to grill. Floaties, pool toys, and towels are all provided for your use.
The utility room is equipped with a HE washer and dryer, as well as an ironing board/iron. Detergent for the washer is provided.
There is room in the three-car garage for one car. (We keep a car on the premises for our use.) There is also room on the driveway for two additional cars.
Estrella Mountain Ranch is a beautiful community nestled in the Estrella Mountains southwest of Phoenix. Our home is a two minute walk from the South Lake which offers the following FREE family activities: paved walking/jogging/biking trails; basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts; horseshoe pit; covered picnic area; a sandy beach; and a playground for the kids. Our development also offers the following services for a fee: use of a fitness center, lap pool, small water park and large pool for the kids (open Memorial Day to Labor Day), and the boats at the Yacht Club.
Area attractions include major sporting events, such as: The Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians Spring Training ballfields just 8 miles down the hill from our house; NASCAR races at the Phoenix International Raceway, again, just a few miles from our home; Major League Baseball with the Diamondbacks; professional basketball with the Phoenix Suns; professional football with the Cardinals; and professional hockey with the Coyotes. And if you're a golfer, there are world class golf courses, including the Jack Nicklaus designed Golf Club of Estrella, which is five minutes away from our home and has consistently been ranked as one of the top ten courses in Arizona.
In addition to the sporting activities listed above, the Phoenix/Scottsdale area has a thriving arts community that offers museums, concerts, plays, etc. Scottsdale has it's Thursday night Arts Walk through it's many galleries, and many of the nearby, smaller communities have festivals and community celebrations that are always fun for the family. And then, of course, there is the Grand Canyon and Sedona, well worth visiting and within driving distance.

We enjoyed staying in this spacious home. The entire experience worked out very well. We have been visiting Phoenix area for spring training and golf for the last 15 years. This trip was the best!!! The home is located in a very quiet neighborhood, with TWO golf courses located within a couple of miles. As to Spring Training , the home is within 20 minutes from Surprise stadium (Rangers/Royals); 15 minutes from Camelback park (Dodgers/White Sox); 10 minutes from Maryvale park (Brewers) & 6 miles from Goodyear park (Reds/Indians). We loved the location, not any problem with traffic or congestion. (associated with downtown Phoenix or Scottsdale). The house felt like home; we attended games or played golf everyday and it was so nice to get 'back' to the house to relax, unwind and get ready for the next days activities. The owner of the home was very accomodating and made the whole process flow seamlessly. 5 Star Rating for Home, Location & Owner!!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

I was pleasantly surprised, although I read the description with great care I wasn't expecting a place as spacious.the kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. Beds were comfortable. By far the best part was the walking path around the two lakes. I was able to leave hubby snuggled in bed and have a nice peaceful solo walk. Please follow owners directions (gps does not work well in this area). Also if possible arrive during daylight. It is located about 8 miles from the interstate and only about 6 from Goodyear stadium (our team won all the games we went to). It's a sports haven for hiking and biking, the community boat house has paddle boats and kayaks for residents and their guests. Restaurants and nightlife are back by the interstate or back in Phoenix but the house was so nice we didn't mind grilling a couple of steaks and settling down to an evening of cards.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was. The home was fabulous, a photo can't capture how open and spacious it is. The owners were so kind and accommodating. We stayed with our 6 children, ages 16 years to 6 months old, and they all had a great time..... there was something for everyone! The homeowner had toys, games, and books for us, as well as little things like a baby monitor to make our stay more comfortable. Any questions we had while we were there were answered promptly. We truly felt as though we were guests in their home, not just a family renting a house. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your place!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Three couples had an excellent stay in this beautiful house. The tv and internet were perfect. The location was away from traffic and was very quite. The area has a beautiful lake and park area with a great walking path. The owners were extremely informative both about the house and the area. They saved us money by telling us not to shop for groceries until we saw what all was available already in the house. The owners did everything they promised and seemed genuinely concerned that we had an enjoyable week. We can't wait to stay here in the future.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

When we arrived at this lovely home in Estrella we knew exactly what to expect as the description and pictures were accurate to the listing. This comfortable home was clean and very roomy, even for all 4 adults. I found Jackie to be very accommodating and accessible, as she kept in contact with us by email, before and after our stay, answering any questions that we had. She also sent us information as to activites, shopping and recommeding restaurants close to the neighborhood. We were excited to have the opportunity every morning to take a leisurely walk to the nearby Safeway using a pathway which took us by 2 quite lakes. It was a lovely scenic walk in the warmth of the morning sun. This home is in a clean and quiet neighborhood, which gave us a safe feeling. We would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone interested in a stressfree holiday, although there are many activities close by, we enjoyed our quiet walks.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

My husband and I felt very much at home during our stay. We particularly liked the quality of the king size bed and how quiet the neighborhood was. We slept as well as if we were at home....which is really important to us. We usually rent a house when we travel because we like having all the comforts of our own home, and we enjoy having a little space. This home in the Estrella area was perfect. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we could watch the cable channels we like. The den furniture was comfortable and home-like, and every part of the house was very clean! I don't have a TV in my bedroom at home, but I did watch the one in this house one morning, and it was quite cozy. The decor matched the desert area, and I really liked the clean lines of the rooms. The directions sent to us to find the home were very easy to follow, and everything about the home matched or exceeded the description. From the laundry room to the kitchen, to the living areas, all of the furniture was extremely nice, new, and very clean. Ditto for the appliances. I used the microwave, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. I could not even make a recommendation to improve the house for rental visitors. It was comfortable, lovely, and very clean. I liked the split floor plan too. The master bedroom was separate from the others, and baths were on opposite sides of the house. I could see us returning with a larger group and still would be comfortable. The area was picturesque, and we particularly enjoyed the sunsets and the saguaro cacti dotting the fields. Having so much sunshine, all day, everyday, in January was a treat....so different from our home. We were minutes from good restaurants and shopping, and it was easy to get around in our rental car. For anyone who visits the Phoenix metro area, I highly recommend the botanical gardens. We learned a great deal about desert plants, and it was a beautiful place. I was very surprised at the variety. The Heard Museum is also a lovely place to visit and very educational. All in all, we had a marvelous time in Phoenix. We truly enjoyed the house, and our team won the game! I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend this house to my best friend or anyone else.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: My name is Jackie, and I am retired from the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. Both my husband and I have lived in Washington State all our lives. We reside in Olympia. We both love the Pacific Northwest, but we wanted a place to go for some blue sky and warmth during the long, grey winter months. We've found that with the Estrella Mountain Ranch community and this home. We both absolutely love this home and the Estrella community along with all the amenitities this community has to offer.
Why the Owner Chose Goodyear:
I have visited Scottsdale for the past 15+ years for a Girls' Weekend Out. Having been to the area on so many occasions, I knew the area would meet my needs in terms of climate, but I didn't like the traffic in Scottsdale. I wanted someplace more rural. Just by chance, my husband and I visited some high school friends on one trip. They happened to live in Estrella Mountain Ranch. After touring the area, I knew that this community was just what I was looking for in the way of location and amenities. It really seems to have something for everyone--golfing for my sons, the pool for my daughters-in-law, and the water park and playground for the grandkids.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I love the walking trails around the North and South lakes and enjoy walking them in the early morning hours with the other walkers/joggers/dog walkers or in the evening when the sun is setting over the hills. The Arizona sunsets are beyond beautiful, and I never tire of seeing them--whether it's from the lake, our backyard, or the Safeway parking lot! I also love driving to the Star Tower when the sun is setting to enjoy the sunset and to stargaze. I'm not sure what it is about this place, but I can feel the stress evaporate as I drive up the hill to our home.
