Ridgeview Lodge is nestled in the trees atop a hill overlooking the quaint town of Estes Park with stunning mountain views of Lumpy Ridge and the Twin Owls. Here you have the best of both worlds - you can escape to the mountains and relax, yet it’s only a 5 minute walk into the center of town to enjoy shops and restaurants! Open up the windows and listen to the calming sound of the river. Do you love the outdoors? The majestic Rocky Mountain National Park is just a 5 min drive away where you can enjoy wildlife, hundreds of hiking trails, rock climbing, amazing views, beautiful drives, numerous lakes and waterfalls as well as snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
The spacious, open floor plan of this home allows plenty of room for everyone as well as gathering space to spend quality time together. The master bedroom has it’s own half bath for privacy, a plush queen size log bed, dresser, closet and writing desk. The 2nd bedroom is quite large and offers versatility for kids or adults with a log bunk bed that has a twin bed on top and queen on the bottom. There is a large dresser and plenty of closet space as well as a stash of board games and toys. These guests enjoy a full bath with tub/shower just down the hall. This home has a tankless water heater which allows back-to-back showers so all guests can enjoy a hot shower in the morning!
Downstairs is a beautiful separate suite with its own bathroom with shower, kitchenette with fridge and microwave, gas fireplace and private patio. The large suite has a queen size bed, dresser, closet and a futon that folds out to queen size as well. Guests in this suite also enjoy their own flat screen TV. With large windows and the same stunning views enjoyed upstairs, it’s hard to decide who gets to stay in this room! If desired, maximum privacy can be achieved by closing a door atop the stairs to separate this room from the rest of the house. It even has its own entrance from the outside. Overall, we can accommodate 8 guests in this home.
In the living area, enjoy two full size sofas, a flat screen TV with blu-ray player and library of movies to watch, or relax and read a book. We have lots of books about the local area so you’ll have no trouble finding things to do, if you ever want to leave the house! There is a loft above the living room with some comfy chairs and plenty of reading material. Our dining room seats 6-8 with mountain views and warmth from the wood burning stove. If you prefer to eat outdoors, the deck seats 11 and boasts amazing mountain views as well as a view of town. Enjoy the lovely sounds of the river while outside and open up the windows to enjoy it inside as well. The open kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, bakeware, serving dishes, dishes and utensils...just bring home the groceries and prepare a lovely meal for the family. We also have a Cuisinart CrockPot, toaster, blender, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, baking dishes, pizza pan, cookie sheets and mixing bowls. If you want to relax and let someone else do the cooking, we have provided menus from many places in town, including lots who deliver!
We want you to get the most out of your vacation so we have provided lots of information on things to do in town and in the national park. You can also find the events calendar for the town in the links section on our website. We have free wi-fi in the home in case you need to look up activities or even get a little work done if you can’t completely get away. We welcome dogs too! Bring your best friend along. Call us with any questions and we look forward to having you stay!

My family and I stayed at the Ridgeview Lodge for four days over Presidents Day weekend and had a great time! The nearby town is within walking distance and has some cute shops and restaurants, although we really only used the coffee shop along the water (which was frozen in February). The property is beautiful and very comfortable. We have four kids and also brought two dogs along and there was plenty of room for everyone. My daughter loved the privacy of the basement, the younger boys loved playing on the rocks out back and the dogs went nuts over the huge deer traipsing right by the living room windows. Nearby Rocky Mountain National Park was super for our first snowshoeing trip and we highly recommend the folks and Warming House if you need any equipment rentals. We visited the Stanley Hotel for the ghost stories, which has different tours available, depending on your bravery and/or ages of your kids. The Scary Mary stories were great for our kids, ages 8-12. Also, if you have a smartphone, we recommend you download a "ghost tracker" radar and let the kids use that during the visit -- it was highly entertaiing for everyone! Bottom line -- great trip, great area and beautiful cabin! We are keeping Ridgeview in mind for future trips to Estes, for sure!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

For thirty wonderful days I had the privilege of staying at Ridgeview Lodge. What a wonderful experience this was. I cannot say enough about how incredible Christy was to work with and how fantastic she made my stay at Ridgeview. The home is very comfortable and has all the conveniences you could possibly want. The layout of the kitchen, dining room and living room is great. You are never far away from family and friends. Although you are just a few moments from the center of downtown Estes, you are removed from the hustle and bustle of the area. The home looks down onto the center of the downtown area but there is an amazing privacy you feel. The street is very peaceful with very little traffic. The beds and couches are extremely comfortable and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. After a long day of hiking it was great to come home and start a fire in the easy to use stove, relax watching TV, listen to CDs, read one of the many great books Christie has provided or watch the many birds and animals wandering by the windows. Even in the wintertime the animals that visited me were many. There was a herd of 7 mule deer that came both in the morning and again in the evening, three huge buck elks that must live close because I saw them all the time and of course the numerous kinds of birds, last count 24. Oh yes, there were also two very cute Abert's Squirrels who came to visit and entertain me. The home and yard were super for my little dog Chloe too. She very much enjoyed her stay. I cannot thank Christie enough for allowing dogs in her home since there are very few homes in the area that will let you bring your four legged family members! I have vacationed in Estes all seasons now and I must say I totally love wintertime here in the valley. There so many things here to do....sleigh rides, horseback riding, one of my favorites, critter watching. By the way, there are no crowds in the wintertime! It is also a plprograms put on by park rangers, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking in the totally beautiful RMNP and easure to converse with the local Estes residents. They are so very warm, helpful and friendly. Estes Park and the surrounding area are truly magical. What a place to spend your holiday! I highly recommend this home to stay in and Christie to work with. THE EASTER BUNNY CAME!! THE EASTER BUNNY CAME!!! What a great start to a fantastic weekend in a pristine setting. We were welcomed to the cabin by signs of a special visitor. Hidden eggs around the place with little treats hidden in the eggs. Cozy nooks & great meals. We had a wonderful time. Thanks for making Easter so special! Thank you so very much for all of your extra touches. It was a pleasure to stay at your home. Really enjoyed listening to the water from the deck in the mornings. Saw lots of deer and elk. The birds were glad to get their food! My husband liked the wood stove. We only got to use it once because it was so warm for April. The book with all the great information was really great. Found new steak house - Orlando's - Best steak in town! Thank you Christie for the extra phone call. It is so nice to deal with a kind soul. Why the Owner Chose Estes Park:
Estes Park and my family have a long history together - both my parents grew up taking family vacations here. I fell in love with it as a teenager and have been a frequent visitor since moving to Colorado in 2005. This town has a hold on my heart and I want other people to experience it and fall in love with it too!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
What I love about this home is the fact you are nestled in the mountains, able to relax and enjoy the quietness, the trees and the amazing views... yet it's only a 5 min walk into town to enjoy everything Estes Park has to offer. It's also only a 5 min drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. This home is comfortable, cozy and enjoyable.
