Chalet was wonderful, well appointed and clean and staff so helpful, as was the owner with his helpful emails and info. While isolated, it was quiet and in a beautiful spot, and also perfectly situated for access to Banff, Jasper, Radium, Lake Louise and many other amazing places. Would love to return one summer to experience a different season. Definitely recommended. Sandy McTigue Burpengary, Australia

This place was fantastic. Back to nature with all the comforts. Carpark was close with asphalt path to room (trolleys available in carpark to help carry luggage). The chalet was located in that it felt like you were completely on you own, but you were actually amongst other similar chalets. Snow as all around us , and the manager was so helpful and friendly but she also kept out of the way. The chalet was very comfortable, even for a family of 5. The kitchen was well equipped. We bought groceries in Banff on way to chalet as we were planning on cooking. There were also a few good grocery stores in Golden. It was nice to be able to cook some home cooked meals after travelling and eating out for several weeks. So warm inside and the only thing I can complain about is the shower was quite small and if you are trying to book ahead or like us talk on skype back to Australia, the WiFi is very slow. . The rest is magnificent. I will stay again one day, and the town of Golden is so close, only 15 mins down the road, with Kicking Horse ski resort only 10 mins up the road from Golden. One of the best ski resorts i have ever skiied. We walked down to the creek and stood on the frozen ice. Had marshmallows outside, and just could of sat there and relaxed if we weren't so busy looking at the hot springs, Lake Louise and Banff. Emerald Lake and The natural bridge were very close and well worth seeing. Would have loved to cross country ski over the lake but unfortunately time didn't permit. Best part of our one month holiday and loved the bear teeth marks in the bin outside. Really knew we were in the Canadian forests. The property was as described, very clean (even got fresh towels half way through our 4 night stay) and well maintained. Would definitely recommend this property to others. Thanks for a great stay!!

My wife and I with our two teenage boys stayed there in early June of 2012. The sleeping arrangements worked out great with the boys upstairs and us having the bedroom downstairs. The place was clean and well maintained. The kitchen appliances, cookware and dishes looked new. It was nice having the hostess onsite to help if needed. Fresh towels were supplied after a few days. We enjoyed the views from the front porch. With binoculars, we saw a mountain goat on the rocks across the valley.

Finding great family-vacation accommodations over the intenet can often be a risky venture, but not with Yoho Chalet. Upon arrival , my family and I were thrilled to see an impeccable and fully equipped (as advertised) chalet on a beautiful, manicured property directly facing Chancelor Peak in the heart of the Kicking Horse river valley. We received a warm welcome from the site manager, who thoroughly explained all of the chalet's features and then remained fully attentive to all our needs throughout our stay. Clean, comfortable and well appointed, the chalet truly did feel like a home away from home and it added so much pleasure to our Rocky Mountains summer holiday. My family and I are definitely looking forward to our next stay at the Yoho Chalet and I would recommend it to anyone else who looks for quality and value in a vacation rental property. 5 stars and two thumbs up!

We were looking for a secluded location nearby to Banff and Yoho for 4 days of exploring and came upon this jewel! The chalet, part of a small grouping of similar units, fit our needs perfectly. The well-built log cabin was just the right mix of rustic charm and practical convenience. We enjoyed preparing breakfast each morning in the well-appointed kithchen before our day's adventures in the area. When we booked the chalet, the owner offered many great suggestions for day trips. One of our favorite restaurants was The Truffle Pig in the little town of Field, on the way to Lake Louise. Another day trip took us through Golden where we enjoyed lunch and local brew at the Tap pub. Also, don't miss stopping for a meal at the beautiful Banff Springs lodge. The food and the view were exceptional. I'd gladly recommend this chalet to friends and family. The photos in the listing are accurate and the property is beautifully maintained. We would definitely like to return some day.

I rarely write reviews for the places I have stayed in, but I'd like to do it for this one. Yoho Chalet is a nice vacation place; peaceful, quiet and beautiful. It's located right off Trans-Canada highway #1, but far enough to be quiet. It's very close to Yoho National Park, also not too far from Golden and Lake Louise. Log cabin...well, it is hardly a "cabin". I would rather call it a "log home",comfortable and spacious. The most amazing thing is that you can find everything you need inside, including all cookware and tableware, and even things like bottle openers, trash bags and dishwasher soap, all big and small things that you might need for your stay. Someone who organized this business thought of everything. They even have gas grills outside, and little carts to carry your stuff from the parking lot to your cabin. I know why the first sentence in their "Policies and Rules" is "Treat the cabin like your second home". It does feel like home! The personnel is very friendly and helpful. To summarize, it's a great place to stay and I would like to come again. (5 star)

Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy your cabin while we were on vacation. We found the chalet to be the perfect solution to our vacation needs. It was perfectly situated nearly equidistant between Kicking Horse and Lake Louise ski resorts. Every morning we would wake up and look at the snow reports (on provided WIFI) and decide where to ski for the day. On top of downhill skiing, we also took time to cross country ski on the trails nearby. In tis case it was ski in and ski out and absolutely breathtaking. Having already experienced Yoho's beauty in the summer I can hightly recommend this chalet as a perfect home base for year round adventuring in the Canadian Rockies

Thank you so much for making Yoho Chalets available to us during our visit to Yoho National Park. We appreciate the modern, spacious and clean cabin, which has all the conveniences of home. This made it really easy for us to focus on the hiking and sightseeing in the area. It is especially nice to wake up refreshed and invigorated, sit out on comfortable chairs on the front proch to enjoy breathtaking views of snow-covered mountains with our morning coffee. We look forward to returning again soon.

                          Why the Owner Chose Golden:
I was born and raised in Banff, which is a World Heritage site. Even though I completed my education and continued to live in Calgary, my heart has always been in the mountains. I had the opportunity to buy our chalet, which is only 2 hours and 15 minutes from my door, and we couldn't refuse. The chalet is our get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. My wife, Donna, and I are avid hikers and I enjoy skiing . This chalet and the surrounding area offers all types of outdoor activities and we have taken advantage of most everything available.

The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
There is so much to do in the Canadian Rockies and we are centrally located to take advantage of as many activities as possible, but if you just want to relax and enjoy the scenery you can start a fire (in your private fire pit) and just take in mother nature with your favorite refreshment.
