This rental was a perfect place to stay the weekend we a group of friends. We had 4 couples and each had our own bedrooms. We cooked meals, hit the slopes, used the fireplace, played games, used the hot tub, used the free shuttle...it was perfect. Everything was in great, working condition and we really had no complaints. It would be nice to have more parking space since some cars don't fit in the garage, but we made it work just fine. My group and I were surely lucky to find this condo. The place is updated, clean, and spacious. Proximity to the base village/gondola is ideal (manageable walk or quick bus ride). We were all extremely comfortable during the stay, and the property is well-maintained (though no HD television). Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because there was some confusion with dates and the owners were occupying the unit upon check-in. This required to us to leave the place for a few hours so it could be turned-over. The owners, who were both nice people, ended up staying next door and returned periodically to fetch things or finish laundry. This issue was certainly not a knock on the property itself, just the rental process in general. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

I stayed at this unit in early January 2012 and was very impressed all around. The Unit was very spacious and fully equipped for all of our needs. It is also located a quick 3 block walk to the Gondola area where we could of course go skiing but also pick up extra groceries sit down at a restaurant or grab an Apres Ski beer. Cannot go wrong with Winterset for the value.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.
