A spacious air conditioned residence (about 120 m²) on the 2nd floor of an historical Florentine Palace located on the Oltrarno district (along the banks of the Arno), just 50 m from the Ponte Vecchio and facing the Uffizi Galleries.
Just a stone's throw from the Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens, Palazzo Vecchio and the Duomo.
Light and airy, with enormous windows, the living room and bedrooms overlook the Uffizi Galleries and the Ponte Vecchio.

This is a GREAT location. Very central, with one block to a taxi stand and walking distance to the Pitti Palace and anything in Florence, really. We shopped and came home to drop stuff off, easily. There is a washing machine and it is TWO BEDROOMS EACH WITH THEIR OWN BATHROOM! The bedrooms are separated by a big living room and there are big closets, a cute kitchen and comfy beds. Free WiFi and you can watch the BBC. The problem is that it is on a very, VERY busy street. Traffic races by until 2 or 3am and starts again around 7/7:30am. It kept us up, but just a little. There is also a RECYCLING place, right under the windows and crashing glass is alarming and happens very late and very early. Not ideal. That said, Simone was very nice, the place is decorated SUPERBLY and it is so spacious with the best bathrooms we had in Italy, (except for an expensive hotel). You can walk anywhere!! If a little/lot of noise doesn't bother you: go for it. It's pretty cool!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We stayed in the Ponte Vecchio apartment over the Christmas and New Year holiday in December. The apartment location is amazing -- the best that we've had in three trips to Florence. We stayed for 10 nights with our good friends (two adult couples). The apartment is much larger than we ever expected and the two bedrooms are both large, the baths are nice. The view over the Arno is amazing to wake up to every morning and we had a great time experiencing the fun of New Year's Eve fireworks over the river. We also used the carpark a block away, which was really convenient. The apartment was really fabulous and Simone was such a help to us with our lost luggage, late arrival on Christmas Eve, and arranging airport transfers.
