Spacious ranch-style, non-smoking home nestled among ten acres of prairie and woods in a rural area. Available for year-round rental. Quiet and private.
Good place for slowing down from fast-paced, busy life. Re-engage with family in comfortable, peaceful environment. Meditate in the easy, relaxed setting. Lots of trees and birds to watch from the hammock.
In the summer, play in the spacious yard, walk the two labyrinths (classic and chartes) or take a swim in the private fenced-in pool. The in-ground seasonal pool is 20 foot by 40 foot, and the pool house has a half-bath within it.
There are wonderful open spaces for kites, volleyball, croquet, picnicking. In the evening, curl up around a fire at the outdoor fire pit.
In cooler weather, go apple-picking at one of the local orchards or take a stroll or bike ride down the Kal-Haven trail, just minutes away.
On rainy days, kids can play in the great room on the lower level or watch a video. During the winter, cross-country skiing and sledding are nearby or build a snowfamily right outside the door.
Cook in the roomy kitchen, barbecue outside or go out to some of the fantastic South Haven restaurants. The dining area can seat 16, plus there are four counter stools, if needed. The yard is equipped with picnic tables and patio tables and chairs for eating outdoors.
This is a place that your family will remember. Kids can play on the swingset, wander through the prairies, run about and explore. There is plenty to do, yet it is outside of the congestion of South Haven.
The town is just a few minutes’ drive and you can choose to whether to go into town for shopping and entertainment, or stay secluded on the lush private grounds.

Proprietors: Carol Jungman and David Fireman
Carol Jungman, MSOD, is managing partner of White Lotus Retreat Center and an independent consultant, trainer, facilitator, and coach. Her work with individuals spans the areas of life coaching, relational leadership, multicultural and diversity training, and cultural adjustment. She consults with groups and teams to bring more awareness to their processes and dynamics, and she consults with organizations to implement systemic change and transformation. Carol has nearly two decades of experience managing and training within the intercultural and organizational development fields. She has facilitated cross-cultural programs for Fortune 1000 companies, and has designed and led staff retreats and strategic planning sessions for small and mid-size businesses, schools and non-profits. Carol received her Bachelor’s degree in business and journalism from Northern Illinois University and her Master’s degree in organization development from Loyola University.
David Fireman, LCSW, is a partner of White Lotus Retreat Center and a practicing social worker and therapist with over a dozen years of experience. David offers individual, couples, family, and group counseling, with traditional emphasis enhanced with alternative and transpersonal methods, such as guided imagery and eastern forms of meditation. In his position as Executive Director of the Center for Grief Recovery, David has built a depth psychotherapy practice dedicated to serving clients of all ages. David is an active workshop presenter, graduate of Matrix Leadership, Victories of the Heart Introductory Weekend, and The Center's Guided Imagery Training. He has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Chicago, Jane Adams College of Social Work at UIC, and Kendall College. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University and his Master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Together they have two teen children.

Our kids love the vast expanses of space to roam around, play freely and explore nature. Of course, they love the pool during the warm weather and can spend hours entertaining themselves. We love the quietness, the tree frogs, and the multitude of stars we can see at night.
