From the cottage, you can walk five minutes to the downtown historical district where many fine restaurants, and unique shops are located. You can stroll main (or drag main as locals say) or have a cup of coffee and discuss the day's catch of fish, crabs, clams, or shells with locals or visitors alike.
From Ward's Shore (right in front of the house) you can launch your boat and take off to explore the true Crystal Coast! Bear Island (Hammocks Beach) is only minutes away for your discovery. It is truly one of the world's most beautiful and totally undeveloped islands. Do not have a boat? Not to worry, you can take the state-run ferry to the island from Swansboro, or rent a boat, or kayak!
Our lovely, three-bedroom cottage offers you such a unique and relaxing atmosphere to enjoy your dream vacation! The cottage is decorated and owned by renown interior designer, Billie Jean (Casper) Simpson! She has remodeled, restored, and decorated some of the loveliest homes up and down the coast! The relaxing yet beautiful coastal decor is truly a treat!
Located right up from famous Casper's Marina (the house belonged to Mrs Eunice Casper and is still part of the family property), you can enjoy the waterfront boating activity from your front porch or stroll down to the docks and see what's going on!
Deep sea fishing charters are also available at Casper's Marina.
