WOW…This cottage is spot on! We have rented several cottages in Nags Head before but this one is at the top of the list. It had lots of room for kids and adults to have their own space. We were going to share this cottage with others but they were unable to come. My husband and I went with three 16-year-old boys and lots of alcohol! :-) The views from the third floor were amazing, the cottage is clean and up to date, the “extra” refrigerator in the game room was a great addition and the hot tub with “disco” lighting was fun. We had a great time and hope we can visit again. The owner (Yvonne) was very helpful before and during out stay. You will definitely enjoy your stay at the “Islander Retreat”!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We ended up with fourteen people staying all together. Large blended family which included 2-10 month olds and a 2 year old. What a beautiful tastefully decorated home, pleanty of room for everyone. The deck was amazing to sit on, especially the one right outside the front bedrooms. The kitchen was amazing to cook in. Plenty of cookware, dishes, etc. We had a small issue with the grill, contacted the owners and the issue was resolved immediatly. The contact with Yvonne the owner prior to coming was very helpful. There were no surprises. I just cant say enough about our stay. There were plenty of games and books to cozy up with during the kids nap time and "Tortugas" was 1/2 block away. AMAZING food! Thank you for allwoing us to stay, Our family as big as it is, had a wonderful time.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

A group of ladies from work got together for the annual "Divas Get A Way" at this house. What a beautiful house. A bathroom in every bedroom except one so you know that went over well. The view from the kitchen and great room were goergous. Couldn't believe it was February while sitting on the deck having coffee one morning. Many enjoyed the hot tub in the evening under the stars. This house is a great set up for large families or get togethers. They had plenty of dishes and cook wear to take care of a small army. I can't say enough good things. The owners where so helpful when I called and needed to ask a guestion. Great place to stay-hope to return next Feb. with the girls again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers.
