  his is a really nice Condo, in a great location and at a fair price. We were inpressed by how new, clean and complete the units are. Ours even had a boogie board and one set of snorkling gear. The location across the street of Kahalu'u Beach is worth it. We did not have to pack wet kids into a car, just walked across the street a couple times a day to snorkle in water filled with colorful fish and sea turtles. We were 5 minutes from a nice shopping center with groceries, resteraunts and a movie theatre. With a family of five it makes sense to stay in a condo so you can cook, do laundry, etc... A great vacation for our family. Tough to fly home after that week!

  We loved this condo! The condo is nicely furnished and very modern. The location is perfect, especially if you plan to explore the island. It's far enough south of the main Kona strip to avoid the tourist crowds but very close to a large "local" shopping center with groceries, a bank, a theater, shops and restaurants. The view is outstanding including a perfect sunset vista from the patio overlooking the pool and the state beach (which has excellent snorkeling). And as a bonus the Outrigger patio bar and restarant is a short walk away - ask for the Grand ali'i Mai Tai - it's the best on the island (and we tried several)! Overall a great place to come "home" to after a day exploring the Big Island.

  This was perhaps the best condo we have ever rented in all our many travels. Well stocked with virtually every concievable item a vacationer could possibly need. Even starter dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent. Amazed at the number of tv channels that were provided. We needed to contact abbey once for something minor and they handled it quickly and live without having to go through a extensive phone menu. Location is as close as physically possible to perhaps the best entry point to the best snorkeling on the Big island.The pool area is wonderful and the hot tub was perfect. very often at condo rentals, hot tubs are usually "under repair" or very cold. Every little detail was thought of. Great view from lanai.I am definitely considering coming back to this same unit next year!

  My husband and I stayed in this unit with our two teen-aged grandchildren for a week. We loved the lanai--it was a perfect place for our casual breakfasts and for watching the sunsets. The kids loved that there were movies and televisions in their rooms, and we appreciated the quiet time this provided for us. The condo was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, including beach chairs, snorkel equipment, and towels for the beach.We enjoyed the location, especially the proximity to Kahaluu Beach where all of us enjoyed snorkeling and viewing the sea turtles. We also enjoyed music from the beach on weekend evenings while sitting on our own lanai.All-in-all, the condo was a perfect place for us, and we hope to return to it someday soon.

  Abbey Vacations was recommended to us by a friend. We were not disappointed. The price was extremely fair and the picture on their website was accurate as to what could be expected. The view of the ocean was spectacular.

  This condo was beautiful in a great location across from Kahaluu Beach park, with some of the best snorkeling on the island. The condo is new and very well appointed; ceiling fans throughout and air conditioned also. Condo has a great small swimming pool, hot tub and communal gas grill area that is accesible with your condo key. Includes boogie boards, lawn chairs and a cooler for all your beach days. Great sunset views from your lanai. 1 hour north are all the great white sand beaches. Captain Cook is 30 min south. Don't hesitate to stay here. Great place for couples or families!

  This is a great place to be in Kailua. Walking distance to surfing and snorkeling. The condo is very comfortable and we enjoyed watching the sunset in the evening on the lanai.

  We spent 10 days in this property. The first day was complicated by a faulty air conditioner, and made for a pretty warm night BUT repair personnel walked in as we arrived, and Abbey called the next day to make certain we were in the cool. Thereafter, everything was perfect- there's a view across the street to a very agreeable park and snorkeling beach we enjoyed nearly daily. The proximity to Kailua allows you to shop and dine, but it's distant enough to be quiet at night. We cooked plenty of meals there. The beds are very comfortable, the breeze heavenly , and the decor pleasant and classy. We are trying to figure out how to get back!

  Stayed at this property for 8 nights and enjoyed every minute. The management company was helpful and thorough - even called our first day to make sure everything was ok. The location was perfect...right across the street from Kahalu'u Beach Park - perfect for snorkeling. The unit was nicely decorated and updated. I am a wimp in hot weather...central aC was awesome. Loved the lanai/outdoor living space with a great view of the beach and ocean. Everything you need was furnished; entertainment, beach equipment (toys, chairs, towels, etc), kitchen things, and supplies (I don't expect to have enough soap, tp, laundry supplies for over a week). We appreciated the infinity pool, spa, and used the grilled in the pool area. Came with my spouse and 2 adult children...great condo - would stay here again.

  This newer condo was clean, well equipped, a great value. Had a small problem with the TV service, call abbey for help and literally within 5 minutes had someone at the door who was able to resolve the problem.

  We arrived to a beautiful, lighted livingroom, kitchen area with soft music playing. The accomodations were lovely and exactly like pictured. The location was across the street from a beach park and breathtaking sunsets. There was a shopping area a few minutes drive with everything you need. Was close drive to the more touristy area but far enough away to feel you were secluded and private. The staff was always accessible even in the evening when we had copied down the wrong code to enter the condo. They were so pleasant,cheerful, and accomodating. The room keys had small scan card to get discounts at the store which was great. The beds were very comfortable and roomy and my teenage and adult sons could not stop raving about the plush towels! The washer and dryer in the unit were great for taking home suitcases of clean clothes. We all enjoyed the pool area and often had it to ourselves. The building 1 we stayed in had the best straight on view of the ocean. Would definately look into staying here again if we travel back!!

  My wife and I brought our 2.5 yr old daughter to experience the Big Island. We also brought a friend of the family and the condo had plenty of room for everyone. The beach is down the street about 1 city block (depending on what city you live in). The pool was great andIt overlooked the ocean.Sue with the rental office was outstanding with answering all my questions quickly, prior to our arrival. She also coordinated with 2 separate vendors who delivered some necessary toddler furniture and a grocery delivery service who stocked the fridge.I would stay here again!

  We stayed at this condo for one week and have absolutely no complaints! It was close to the village, farmers markets, shopping,golf and beach. The condo itself was lovely inside and had everything we needed.It was clean, quiet,had a beautiful view,and a great deal!

  We stayed with abbey Vacation Rentals after finding this condo on the internet. It turned out to be everything we hoped for.The pictures don't do it justice and none of them are staged. The place is big, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The lanai was nice and big (with an overhead fan) and had a good view of the beach and the sunset. We ate family meals out there almost every night.The HD TV was nice and big and the furniture was comfy. We brought a media player and watched movies in the evenings. There were also TVs in both rooms and the wireless internet was good.The pool area and hot tub were nice and quiet, with the glass wall you can watch the beach across the road. The shared bbq was big, new, and kept clean. There was never any problem cooking, although it could really use a light at night (bring a flashlight).The snorkelling at the beach was great, although after you go 3 or 4 times you've kind of seen it and need a new beach to explore (don't go at low tide and buy a cheap underwater camera). Nice fish and turtles.The mall up the hill has everything you need and wasn't too overpriced. Drug store, grocery store, restaurants, some fast food and ice cream. We also hit the Costco out by the airport to stock up.If you go to the volcano park pack a lunch and remember a jacket, the weather gets kind of crazy up there. Well worth the daytrip.Parking at the condo was fine and it seemed like a very safe area. My 14 and 15 year olds came and went to the beach and pool as they wanted.We probably could have saved a couple of hundred dollars for the week staying at some of the places up the road closer to town, but I'm glad we didn't. We would (and hopefully will) stay here again.

  This condo is across the street from and excellent , family friendly snorkeling beach. It is a short drive to the center of Kona, with tons of shops and restaurants. The condo itself was beautifully appointed, had beach towels and enough supplies (paper towel, dish soap, etc) to meet our needs. There's a lovely pool which we usually had to ourselves, and we really enjoyed eating our breakfast on the lanai, overlooking the ocean. If we ever return to Hawaii, we would definitely stay here again!

  The Beach Villas at Kahalu`u was very clean and nice. The views were amazing. Our rental was nicely furnished, very homey like feeling. My friends and i had an excelllent stay. The pool area was lovely as well, with the view of the ocean. I would highly recommend this vacation rental to my friends and return as well myself.

  he location was perfect...close enough to town by car, but far enough away to feel peaceful and less 'touristy'. Our lanai overlooked the ocean, as we were directly accross the street from one of the best snorkeling beaches in Kona By using the lock box, we did not have to worry about carrying anything with us (keys etc.) to the beach.The condo was extremely comfortable and cozy. The pool and hot tub were clean and delightful. The condo had bonus features such as washer/dryer, free long distance calls, WiFi, and air conditioning. We will request the exact same condo if we return to Kona.

  The condo was fantastic: top notch trim, very comfortable and well equipped. The pictures do not do it justice. Amazing views of ocean and mountain, close enough to the beach to hear the waves even with the windows closed. The whole facility looks to be only a couple of years old and is well maintained: pool, hot tub, and landscaping in excellent condition. The location is perfect if you are looking for a quiet getaway and a home-away-from-home feeling. Although there are both shopping and restaurants nearby, it is a good 4-5 miles into downtown Kailua-Kona, so bear this in mind if being in the midst of the tourisy areas is important to you. Kahaluu beach park with the best snorkling on the island is literally across the street, while White Sands beach with softer sand and better surf is only 1 1/2 miles up the road with ample parking (if you get there before about 11am).

  What a quality unit and location. Whenever we went to another beach on the Island and told people where we were staying, they always said "You already have the best snorkling beach on the Island." We loved being able to walk 100 yards from our unit to the water (and back for lunch). The fish and turtles were all over.The other tenants were great. It was clean and welcoming. The directions were great. Birds, but no bugs. Beach and ocean views. Could eat every meal on the veranda. Great for sleeping with windows open.

  Excellent location, view of Ocean, close to town and shopping, saw turtles at the public beach daily. Very nicely decorated and comfortable when relaxing.Would highly recommend this Condo Resort and hope to be able to come again some time. Really hated to leave it.

  Condo is well positioned, with excellent views from the lanai,and decorated and equipped like a home.Our highlights:-Meals on the lanai.Snorkelling with the sea turtles across the road.The short distance to the supermarket.Comfortable beds.We had a fantastic 5 day stay... we wished we could have stayed much longer.For short stays such as ours a folder with brochures of local activities e.g. Kayaking etc. would enhance the rest of the information you already have on hand.We all loved this property, it added greatly to our holiday experience.

  Abbey Rentals was very friendly and professional, sent info well ahead of time, confirmed before we left the mainland, and called twice during our stay to make sure everything was OK. A phone call on a Saturday was promptly answered. Finally, the price was extremely right - much lower than hotels with similar amenities at a comparable location.The unit is beautifully decorated and was very clean. The kitchen and bath were adequately stocked at a basic level (though there were only three beach towels). The common living area is fairly small (ie., breakfast bar rather than dining room table) But the table on the lanai is full sized, and the living room furniture is comfortable and more than adequate for 4.The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are elegant. The location is superb. The condo has a lovely view of and is a very short walk to one of the best snorkeling (and surfing) beach areas on the Kona Coast. (And when I say "very short," this is coming from an out of shape couch potato). And this beach has a lifeguard and is protected from the hard surf by a wall built by King Kam to protect his kids from strong currents.We let our teens go to the beach together without us, which helped save everyone's sanity.The condo also has a great location in terms of food/dining experiences. Downtown Kona is only a 15-20 minute drive away. However, we usually bought food at the local shopping mall about a mile up the road. Restaurants in the mall include one of the best (affordable) Asian fusion restaurants on the Island and a local Hawaiian food cafe/take-out joint. The mall also had a grocery store, a drug store, a small book store, and one of the cheapest gas stations on the Kona Coast.

  The Condo is great! Very clean and comfortable. Quiet location and convenient for beach and snorkeling. Lovely lanaii with view of the water for peaceful vistas. Elevator made it easy to trek supplies, gear, etc... Very convenient and close to supermarket for groceries. Fully equiped, full sized kitchen. We would definately rent this condo again.
