Gorgeous 'resort' style house on a half acre of manicured grounds and pool that will keep you entertained day or night. Located in an almost secret canyon high above the valley floor in a very desirable neighborhood.
There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The rooms are all average to large in size and are well appointed with quality bedding. All have queen size beds, or twin size.
The kitchen is light and bright looks out at the pool, and is big enough to have people hanging around while you cook. The kitchen has gas cooking, dishwasher , refrigerator/freezer , ice maker, microwave, toaster, blender, 2 coffee makers and a host of gadgets and cookware .
Two eating areas, one inside , the other on the patio.
A comfortable living room, with soft leather furniture and a large
flat screen TV. There are tv's in each bedroom as well.
We are close enough to make it easy to go to either Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage and Palm Desert for meals, entertainment and activities. Central Cathedral City is just a few minutes away and offers an IMAX Theater, a multi-screen theater,
miniature golf, shopping (Target, Trader Joe's etc.) and some really great dinning...try ' La Tablita' for a great Mexican meal and margarita for a real bargain and delicious food!
If you like to hike and explore natural trails, you can literally walk out the front door and hit the trails that access the beautiful
'Santa Rosa Mountains National Monument'. There are miles and miles of trails and canyons to explore. It is home to an
endangered species of Bighorn Sheep, and if you are lucky, you may spot one or more of these magnificent creatures.
Easy to get to town, yes..but many of our guests just want to stay at the house and 'hang out' ! It is so quiet , tucked away above the valley floor, you don't hear the incoming airplane or highway traffic.
A perfect 'HIDEAWAY' , for those that don't want to be disturbed.
Our landscape and property walls assure a secure and PRIVATE
stay. There are no tour buses through the area.
We hope that you will come and experience the desert at your

This house was absolutely amazing. Even more beautiful than the photos, upon arriving and seeing the spacious house and gorgeous backyard, my friends and I knew this would not be our last weekend in this house. The pool and jacuzzi were the perfect place to relax on a sunny and hot weekend and everyone enjoyed laying around in the hammock in the upper part of the backyard. All the bedrooms were very large and there are plenty of bathrooms and showers to the large amount of guests this house holds. The owner Dean was so helpful and gracious, we will definitely be back for another great weekend!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

On every level, this is an oasis. The hammock. The pool and spa. The kitchen. The bedrooms. The bungalows adjacent to the pool. The stars every night. The birds every morning. The amazing artwork, curated by the owner. The professionalism of the owner. The sound system that is installed around the house, controlled by a discreet sound system in the closet. The beautiful tiles and attention to detail in everything in the house (any utility needed is in a drawer somewhere). Our stay was amazing for the weekend and we will look forward to this stay every year. Thank you.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Great house for our 80th birthday celebration and family reunion. When you walk in, the view of the pool is dramatic -- truly landscaped artistically. I also liked the watercolor paintings and decor. As stated in the reviews we read, it is probably nicer than the photos capture.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I stayed here for a weekend with several friends. Everyone fell in love with the place. The beautifl pool/jacuzzi and extensive outdoor area is a real treasure (and the fresh grapefruits from the tree were delicious!). Even better than in the pictures. Dean was great, super nice and always available to answer questions, a pleasure to rent from. The steam shower needed fixing, but he had someone come by to take care of it within 24 hours of our arrival. Everything was clean and as-described. A really great value. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and for any future group trips to the Palm Springs area this will be at the top of my list.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My friends and I rented this great house for Super Bowl weekend. We were there for four days and the propery was fantastic. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out, plenty of parking which we needed and that backyard pool area is incredible. Website photos do not do this place justice. As the Governator says, "We'll be back!"Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Photos and descriptions do not do justice to this house... They look great but the house is even better than the photos. It is a great place, well maintained in a quiet neighborhood - perfect for a get away from the daily stresses of life... into "Paradise"... Serene Oasis is aptly named for it is truly an Oasis or Paradise located in Cathedral City. It is private and fully contained for a wonderful holiday. It is fully equipped with everything anyone could want... all you need it your clothes, toothbrush and food supplies for the kitchen. Everthing else it there... even sunscreen! Dean, the owner, has thought of everthing that one could possibly want to help make your stay a "stay in Paradise". The property is located in a convenient location - easy to get to Palm Springs and easy to get to Palm Desert. There is a Trader Joes and Target close by, as is an IMAX Theatre and close drive to the River or Palm Desert and some great shopping and restaurants. There is a great hamburger place near by called "Frickleburgers" and a mexican restaurant " La Tablita " - both are well worth your time... they are local treasures off the beaten path on Hwy 111 and you will be happy if you go there. The property is clean and well maintained. We have stayed here multiple times and it is VERY highly recommended.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I can not say enough good things about this property and owner. The owner answered all my questions in a timely manner, he was so helpful. Dean even recommended things we could do. The Living Desert is an excellent way to spend some time if you love nature and wildlife. The listing photos are wonderful but to see the house in person is inspiring. My girlfriends and I had all the privacy we expected. The property was beautifully maintained. The evening before our arrival a wind storm blew through leaving the pool a bit messy. Dean had the pool guy out the next morning to clean. I give this property a 10 on a scale from 1 to 10.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a great home for a group get-away that really fits the title of the listing - Serene Oasis. The house feels away from the action, but it still is easy to get to stores, restaurants, etc. Great location and convenient. The house itself is comfortable and homey - very convenient arrangement of rooms. Unless you use exotique tools everything you need for kitchen and technology is there and works. The gradual entrance to the pool makes it great for everyone in the family, and the pool even is shaded in later afternoon so it makes it a bit cooler when cool can be more welcome, but a few feet away you can still get sun if you want it! The owner was very accommodating to arrival and departure times. Home is beautiful and not too far from shopping centers. Came with everything we needed to cook, so we didn't have to bring much of our own equipment. Me and my friends could not stop talking about the home, we were having withdrawals after our weekend getaway. I have been in the area for over 25 yrs and
I can honestly say there is no neighborhood
that compares when it comes to seclusion,privacy and serenity! It is so quiet here I can listen to the birds sing every morning. Airplanes and highways are out of ears reach! The mountains are literally right out the door making hiking and exploring a real treat. Nothing like a soak in the spa/jacuzzi after a nice climb in the mountains.
