Great promise, but needs some attention
Great promise, but needs some attention
Our party of nine (four adults and five teenagers) just returned from a week long stay in this home. We thoroughly enjoyed the Estes Park area and would highly recommend it. I also highly recommend the property management company that manages this home. The company has most certainly earned a five star rating from us. We had a couple of significant issues (septic pump failure and a water leak in one of the bedrooms during an intense rainstorm) during our stay and the management company responded to our concerns on the same day as we reported them, in a very professional manner. One of the owners even came out to the house to replace our burnt out porch light bulb after regular business hours. None of the outside entry lights or lights on the driveway were functioning when we arrived. As for the house itself, it was a mixed bag. First, the positives...the house seemed well built and had a very nice layout, with plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The furniture was of nice quality and in good condition. The views from the porches were breathtaking. The location was somewhat secluded and perfect for wildlife watching and recharging. There was a cabinet with board games, puzzles, and cards for our use. The washer and dryer were large capacity and very handy for after all of our outdoor activities in the area. Most of the photos accurately represent the home, with the exception of the bunk bed room. When we arrived, all of the cute bedspreads, pillows and décor were gone. Instead, each bed was covered with a single drab cotton blanket with a single, old pillow. Bedding seemed to be absent in other rooms too. One queen bed had four, flat, stained pillows, but only one pillow case and two shams (with no pillow cases) for them. The towels, pillows, and linens in this house certainly need an upgrade. The towels were worn and faded. Amenities in the kitchen were lacking. In this house that supposedly sleeps 10-14, we found only four coffee cups, five teaspoons, six butter knives, four tall and four short glasses, etc. We also found quite a few dirty dishes put back away in the kitchen cabinets, a load of towels still in the dryer, burnt out light bulbs, and q-tips stuck between the floorboards of several rooms when we stayed. Housekeeping was less than stellar. So, overall, this property had great promise and could certainly rate five stars if the owners would invest some much needed time and money into the details.

Manager response: Thank you for your detailed review of this home. We are working with the owners and have already obtained permission to purchase new bedding and kitchen items that you identified as inadequate. It is very important that in such a large home all guests have what they need. We appreciated your patience when some of the mechanicals failed. We continuously strive to provide our guests with the comforts of home. We hope you were able to enjoy all that Estes Park has to offer. Please consider Range Property Management the next time you plan a visit to Estes Park. Thank you, Range Property Management
