We stayed at the guest cottage for the month of January and enjoyed a wonderful relaxing time. The cottage is clean and very comfortable for a couple, and really is just one house away from the beach. We thought this was the nicest beach we saw on the island. Wonderful for walking along, and the swimming was perfect. We were able to walk into Port Lucaya by the road, or the beach when we wanted to shop or have lunch out. The owner, Bob, and his helper were very friendly and helpful, We would recommend this property to friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We arrived in Grand Bahama on Saturday and the property is very easy to find and the location is perfect with easy access to Port Lucaya Marketplace, Solomons grocery store, gas and of course the beach. If you are here to dive, Grand Bahamas scuba is less than five minutes away. Be sure to have mac and cheese at the Grouper Grill, its great! Having stayed on several islands in the Caribbean, this is our second trip to Grand Bahamas and we find that this island is easy to navigate (even driving on the left side of the road), the people are friendly, the island is very safe and the diving is excellent. Sandy and Bob met us the house when we arrived and they were very accommodating allowing us to stay after hurricane Sandy decided to pay us a visit! The house is very nice, sparkling clean and has all the comforts of home, tile floor throughout, granite countertops, full size refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, and washer and dryer. There is plenty of cabinet and counter space in the kitchen and the bathroom has plenty of space for personal items. The bedroom is larger with plenty of closet space and a dresser and night stand. The beach is a short walk; there is only one home between the beach and the property. If you are looking for peace and quiet with easy access to everything, this place is really the perfect location. We will be coming back to stay here again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
