Where better to ski, than Salt Lake City and where better to stay than in a charming Tudor house that feels like a home, lovingly maintained by the owner who grew up in the house. We skied at five different areas and are coming back next year to do at least three that we did not visit this year, all within 30 minutes to an hour's drive. The house has extremely comfortable beds, lots of storage space, a full dining room, a well stocked kitchen, and a beautiful breakfast nook overlooking the backyard where Rocky Mountain Quail visited all winter and spring. The house sits high above town overlooking the mountains, with one bus stop to downtown a block away and the other to the University and the Sugarhouse area two blocks away. There are so many wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, and brewpubs that we just kept exploring. Theatres, cinemas, and museums are readily accessible from the Trax/bus system. The only drawbacks were the one full bathroom upstairs, but I understand there will be a second in the basement next month, and the driveway which was a bit narrow for our van. Probably the best recommendation for staying here is that the owner was wonderfully responsive to any needs we had over our long stay. She handled a problem immediately from afar or gave us permission to talk to the local people who help her maintain the house. Our four month stay was wonderful!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We loved our stay in this beautifully appointed home. Everything was so clean and comfortable. The beds and linens were of excellent quality. The layout of the home was perfect for our family with plenty of spots where we could all hang out together. It is in the heart of SLC in an old established quiet community. The neighbors were so friendly. We loved the location as it is a short drive to all of the historical sites. The owner was so helpful and went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect. We're looking forward to our next vacation here. This was our first time using VRBO and staying in a home but it won't be our last. We had such a great experience.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This is the best home I've rented in SLC! I've been using VRBO for years, and I've rented a few homes in SLC. THis is by far the cleanest, most amazing home! The beds are comfy, the house is beautiful, and the owners were extremely helpful! We will be renting this home again without a doubt!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I usually don't respond to these requests but had such a wonderful time can hardly wait to book my next stay in Salt Lake here. Very comfortable and has a nice warm energy about it, also very close to my destinations there, no traffic jams due to good location close to all important destinations I found very time saving because of not having to fight traffic. It was cheaper that 5 star hotel and was like a home away from home. several fine resaurants close by and all shopping convinces. I could go on all day!! Will be a frequent flyer!! Thanks for making my stay very pleasant ( really enjoyed coffee on front veranda every morning)Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

About the owner: I grew up in this beautiful home that I recently restored. The home is full of happy memories and I'm looking forward to creating many more with you, your friends, family as well as mine. I grew up skiing in Alta, the best snow in the US! I love the mountains, rivers, lakes and pine trees. I spent the first 21 years of my life there and who knows.....one day I might spend the last 21 years there. I have several homes that I rent on VRBO. I have met so many wonderful people over the last 3 years on this site. I love being part of the VRBO family.
