  We stayed as a group of four, for four nights. The house is old but in very good conditions. The neighbourhood it's quiet and secure. There are stores nearby and has a very good location to go into the main attractions. House is fully equipped, the rooms are ok. The second room should include a closet. Bath is a bit small, but works good. Kitchen is fully equipped, and also includes coffee, sugar, salt, etc. Overall a great experience

  The stay was like being home without the chores. There were many restaurants close by,, we could take leisurely walks around and we had room for the whole family to gather. It was a perfect arrangement.

  Found the place to be very clean. Sofa bed not highly comfortable, but for a child would probably be fine. Location was great. Close to lots of tourist areas, and only about 30 minutes to Disneyland! Could use an extra mirror in smaller bedroom, as we had two adult daugters trying to share the one in the bathroom. Would recommend to family!

  Our family of 5 stayed at this lovely Atwater Village house for 10 days, and we truly felt like we were at home! The air-conditioning felt great during the late summer days. The wireless internet gave us quick access to local attractions and directions for our vacation's journeys. The cable television was great to turn on and unwind to after a long day of shopping and exploring. The house is located in a very convenient location, with easy access to the 5, 134, and 2 freeways, Universal Studios, the Los Angeles Zoo, DTLA, Glendale Galleria, etc. We were able to buy all of our groceries and make all of our meals at the house, which helped to cut down costs and give the vacation a home-like feel :) Also the house is equipped with a washer and dryer so we were able to wash our clothes, as opposed to going to the laundromat. The 2 bedrooms have big comfy beds, and the living room has the option of a fold out couch, which accommodated our family of 5 perfectly! I would recommend this house for you and your family's LA vacation, thanks Kevin! :)

  My husband & I were in LA for a family wedding and chose to rent this house rather than a hotel room for our stay. The kitchen, laundry rm & front porch made our stay very comfortable. The owner was friendly & responsive to our requests for basic kitchen items that were missing, though he made an outrageous request of us: to show the house to an appraiser at 8:30 on a Sunday morning (which we refused)! I liked the floor plan, with the bedrooms well separated and the bathroom accessible thru the living room. My daughters rented other houses from the same owner & their bathroom was between the bedrooms, which seemed awkward to me. I think the owner is a bit stretched and seemed to be just barely maintaining this property. It was not very clean & there were issues with the central air when we arrived. Once it was repaired the house was comfortable. I was surprised when he called on our first morning because he thought the shower didn't work! Happily it worked fine, but would you want to rent a house that was believed to need plumbing repairs before your arrival? Favorite restaurant:Little Doms, where we saw Jon Hamm enjoying the same pizza we had. House is convenient to freeways and a main commercial street but on a very quiet street. Future note to self for VRBO rentals: ask about the floor plan.

  Owner response: Well I always so suprised when I get a review like this. People that knowmthemarea and what you get for your money alway comment on how reasonable and nice my houses are. We are having a heat wave here, record breaking highs. So even with central air, which most houses in this area don't have, due to our usually mild summers, the house wasn't very cold. I had a ac person out , the second in a week to look, and he said, nothing was wrong, I had just installed an attic fan last week to see if that helped. So when they checked in, gave them a fan, and told,them to let me know if the house didnt cool down,checkin with them, and they said it did. People dont realize that in 1920's houses, maintaince is on going. I know as i have 14 units and am also a realtor. Even at my recent sale, where the house was just about taken down to the studs, there were still some items in need of attention at home inspection. Yes I asked about whether I could have appraiser stop by, yes I just asked. I had to cancel the last request. Why is that so bad? They asked for the house to be cleaned without chemicals, i accommodated that,they asked for about 4 items when checking in, I got,those immediately! Some people arent just going to to be pleased. My houses are very well maintained!competely updated while keeping original character intact. The local hotel, is same price, only one very small,room, dark and dreary.

  The house was located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. Kevin the owner of the property was great, he answered all of the many questions that we had. We will definately stay there again. We were located close to everything.

  We enjoyed our visit in this comfortable house. The neighborhood is quiet and the house seems very spacious even though it is not too large (probably due to the hardwood floors). This location is very close to everything we needed. It was just a couple of minutes drive to restaurants and stores. The large yard and front porch made us feel like we were in a home rather than a rental property. We couldn't have stayed at many of the homes we looked at because there was no fenced yard like this house had. We always take our miniature pinscher with us whenever we go on a visit because he is a part of our family. Kevin, the owner, had no trouble with pets and didn't even charge us extra or a pet deposit. We will come back for sure.

Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. No large gatherings of over 7 people. 3. The owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. 4. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order 5. Only use appliances for their intended uses. Empty dryer lint filter after each use. 6. Pets are NOT allowed. OR PETS are permitted only with prior approval and the Pet Addendum must be completed. 7. Parking is limited to ___2____ vehicle(s). Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. 8. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels to leave the unit.
