Cathedral City house description
This contemporary, fully-furnished three-bedroom, two-bath home was built in 2005 in the peaceful gated-community of Cimarron Cove. The house comfortably sleeps four with two queen beds in the master and front guest bedroom. The middle bedroom has a day and trundle bed to sleep six. Minimum rental is for one week.
The great room consists of a plush seating area and dining table that seats six. In addition, the kitchen island bar provides casual counter dining for three. The well-stocked kitchen has all a cook could need with pots, pans, baking items, appliances and dishware and utensils for eight. The kitchen features a gas range, double ovens, dishwasher and buffet counter.
While the front yard consists of color desert landscaping, the private back yard with stunning mountain views is lush and tropical. The salt water lap pool and spa are a perfect place to relax. The pool also can be heated in the winter for an additional charge. Three lounge chairs as well as a patio bistro set for four make this outdoor space the perfect place to catch some sun or barbeque. A propane gas barbeque is available for those delicious outdoor meals.
The home also has wireless internet access at a built-in hall office desk and features two televisions in the living room and master bedroom. The living room TV has an I-POD docking station and the master bedroom has a DVD player. Additional linens are available in the hall closet and the home features a laundry room with soaking sink and a full-sized washer and dryer. An iron is available in the laundry room as well as additional bath soap, laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies and equipment. The home also has phone service with complimentary long distance across the United States and Canada.

This is our first time visiting the Palm Springs Desert. When we arrived at the house, the picture perfect as photos listing, We were very happy to found Walter's house and stay for a week. The house is very tastefully decorated, comfortable funishing and great kitchen, the back yard is so peaceful to sit and enjoy early in the morning cup of coffee, listening to the water flowing from the spa to the pool, and watch the sunset in the evening. It was a great get away for us to rest, relax, also play hard (golf). Thank you Walter for let us stay at your beatiful home, we hope we can come back there again and again.

Rest & Relaxation
Rest & Relaxation
Pat & Michelle Lyon (Regina, SK Canada) We've been visiting the desert for the last couple of years renting a different location each time, so when I found Peter's house I was ecstatic to be able to come here and relax. The home is more than just someplace to stay, it's "a home", very comfortable & relaxing just like it was mine at home. It's very comfortable, well stocked kitchen with utensils, etc., comfortable sitting area to watch TV and visit with friends. The upkeep of the house has been very good, in that i'm not having to clean before i 'move'in. Beds and baths are great, laundry works well so we won't have to bring as many clothes when we return next year and hopefully a few years to come. Peter has been fantastic to deal with, it's been a true pleasure staying here. We've not leaving here for another 2 weeks, but are already sad to be leaving, but on the upside we have already booked for next year's return. I would absolutely recommend this home for anyone needing a relaxing break from the everyday. Thanks again Peter for allowing us to stay this year and return, it's been great dealing with you! A true gentleman.

Owner response: I was very fortunate to meet Pat and Michelle prior to their stay as they were looking for a "regular, on-going" place to stay in the desert. I sensed they have very high standards in what they were looking for and I knew they would care for my home as much as I do. I feel fortunate that they've selected my place as their home away from home.
Relaxing and addictive location!
Relaxing and addictive location!
When we take our winter vacation, we're looking for comfort, tranquility and convenience. Plus, of course, value. We've found that each time we visit this beautiful property on the edge of Cimarron Golf Resort. 2013 was our second visit and we plan to return in 2014. What we especially like is the tasteful comfortable furnishings and equipment in this home, a truly great kitchen and the fantastic condition we find it in when we arrive. The rooms are good-sized -- great master bathroom -- and there's a useful little desk area, all with free Wi-Fi. Big TV and well-supplied music player too. The house is secluded from the golf course by a berm, which also cuts out sounds from the airport on the other side of the course. There are a few good local walks, including along the berm and around the lovely gated community, and we're just minutes away from grocery stores, Palm Springs and the other desert cities. Being in this location we feel we are at the center of the whole desert valley and can access all sorts of restaurants, shopping and events within a 15-20 min drive. This may sound over the top but we couldn’t find fault with this home. We're actually "do nothing" sort of vacationers so we love the peacefulness of the setting, the seclusion of the back yard for reading and relaxing, and the gentle sound of the water tumbling from the spa into the small pool. It's just a perfect retreat for us. We look forward to booking our 2-3 weeks in 2014 to escape our hectic lifestyles and winter weather.

Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: Thank you for considering my home as your vacation rental. I moved to Southern California in 2008 and immediately knew I wanted to purchase a home in the desert area. I love the sun, warmth and relaxation found in the area and actually purchased my home at Cimarron Cove before buying my home in Orange County. I've rented the home to friends and co-workers and have decided to share it with others by listing it on VRBO. All of my guests so far have remarked how beautiful the home is and how easy it was for them to relax. Some of my favorite things to do when I'm out in the desert is to enjoy the pool and shop at the several consignment stores in the area. When I head to the desert, my two dogs are along for the ride - Kupa'a and Chloe.
Why the Owner Chose Cathedral City:
I have been enjoying the Palm Springs area since 2000, when I often vacationed there from Seattle. I immediate fell in love with the quiet and relaxing pace, the many artistic opportunities, and a very progressive and accepting community. While only 1 hour and 30 mins from my home in Orange County, I always feel like I'm on vacation when I enjoy a weekend in the desert. It does a lot to help me unwind and find balance in my life.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Some of the benefits for me staying at my home are the amazing mountain views. I can sit and enjoy those stunning vistas for hours during the day or at night. I also love the salt water pool which actually feels great on my skin and body after taking a dip. The home itself is decorated to enhance a serene and calm mood during your stay.
