Our contemporary home is located in the Marie Scott Sub Division of beautiful Ridgway, Colorado, with gorgeous mountain views. Our home is centrally located between the town of Montrose, Telluride Ski Resort and one of the premier ice climbing towns, Ouray, also known as the the Switzerland of Colorado.
We have remodeled our home, giving it an urban zen feel. Designed by an artist and interior designer, this stylish home has a new kitchen with stainless steel modern appliances, hardwood floors, new bathrooms. 2 Master bedrooms with spectacular views of the Cimmaron Mountain Range, known for the Cimmaron glow as the sun sets.
Our backyard backs up to a slope against the mountains were you will often see deer and other wildlife while dining in the kitchen or relaxing in the living area.
Ridgway hosts a summer concert in the park series, which takes place each week in the month of July, as well as numerous festivals in the park. Ridgway is home of RAT (Ridgway Area Trails) a developing new Mountaing Bike Trails system, and accessible from our home. We have a fabulous fitness, spin and pilates studio just a block away. The Colorado Boy is an award winning brew pub with awesome pizzas and is one of the locals favorite.

6 of us met in Ridgway for a week long mountain biking trip on the San Juan Huts system. We arrived 2 days early from Texas to acclimate to the thinner air. The Cowans house was a perfect way to kick off our trip. There was plenty of room for all of us and the house is located in the middle of everything, which made it real easy for us to bike into town to eat or go to the store. The first night we were there, we all just hung out on the front porch and got the greatest pictures of the sun going down on the mountain ridge in the distance. I set up the VRBO stay, so all the guys kept thanking me for finding such a great house for our trip. We also found a 12 pack of beer from a local brewery in the refridgerator that Mark left for us, which was obviously a very warm welcome! Thanks again Mark! Your house is perfect for any group looking for a place with plenty of room, cool style, and epic views!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

About the owner: I'm a pilates instructor and Mark, my husband is a Painting Contractor. I'm from So. Calif. and Mark is from New Zealand. We have always believed in living in beautiful places where we enjoy spending our free time. We have lived here in Ridgway 4 years, and prior to that lived in Kauai, Hawaii for 6 years, and lived together on the coast of Calif for 2 years. Together we have 5 children and 1 grandchild. After being away for 10 years we are planning to move back to Calif. to be closer to our kids. We want to keep have this home available for our family, while making available to other outdoor enthusists. We hope you enjoy our Home.
