Cozy up to a crackling fire in the "Pinecone Cabin" after a day on the slopes with a hot chocolate or hang out in the six-person hot tub on the sunny deck in this mountain style home.
This home has a kitchen with just about everything you need to cook up a spread for the whole family.
The main floor has an open floor plan with a living room that has floor to ceiling windows, dining room table with seating for eight, and ample seating at the granite-tiled breakfast bar. Also on the main floor are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and full bathroom.
Bathrooms and bedrooms have just been updated with new fixtures, paint, flooring, carpet and windows!
The upstairs has two bedrooms, one with a full bed and the other with two twin beds. There is a loft with a day bed that also has a trundle bed underneath, a game table and a bathroom.
Spend your days at the private homeowners' sandy beach or take in a game of tennis at one of the five private tennis courts. And while Dad is firing up the barbecue have the kids outside riding their bikes or take one last dip in the homeowners' pool, which is walking distance right around the corner. In addition to the tennis courts, the pool grounds have bocce ball, ping pong, volleyball and shuffleboard!
No need to worry about getting around town, TART, the area's bus transportation has a stop just one block away. There is also a bike path leading right into town just one block away.
And for those of you who are exercise enthusiasts, practically across the street you'll have access to the Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area with numerous acres of gorgeously groomed trails, and they'll even let you ski with your dog. In the spring, summer and fall access that same area with a whole network of trails for mountain biking, hiking, or just loving nature.
Whatever you choose to do here, relaxing by the pool or fireplace or keeping your days and nights busy with an array of activities, we have the home you can enjoy it all from.

Year Purchased: 1999
Bill and I have lived in Tahoe City for the past 18 years (Bill was previously in Squaw Valley since the mid-80s). Both of us are transplants from the Northeast (New York and New Hampshire). We have two children and one large dog. Our favorite activities in Tahoe include cross country skiing right here at Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area, downhill skiing at Squaw Valley, hiking, mountain biking, barbequing at the beach and just enjoying all the fun outdoor activities this area has to offer. We hope you like it here as much as we do!

Hello Diane, Just wanted to let you know that my family had a great time at your home at Dollar Point. We loved the location so close to the lovely pool area, tennis courts and children’s play area. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Pine Cone cabin for 5 days over New Years. Thank you, Diane, for accomodating us early, and for the welcome bottle of wine. The cabin was just right for our group, as it provided lots of space to spread out when we needed to, but also lots of space to be together when we wanted to play games, eat, etc. We hope to be able to rent it again!

Diane, I wanted to thank you for the very nice condition of your rental and of course, the bottle wine. My wife is on me now to remodel our kitchen. The sliding screen door leading to the deck did have some tracking difficulties and kept getting stuck. We took out the lower rubber track and now it slides much easier. You may want to look at it. We really liked your place. Betty said you had things arranged just like she would have done it. Believe me, that is a compliment. At a lot of the places we stay we can't find anything. And the snow Mon and Tue was something else! Watching the snow fall against the backdrop of the big redwood?? tree outside your window was very peaceful. The nearness to the pool and tennis courts would be really nice in the summer months. Maybe you should mention that in your ad on VRBO. If we ever stay in the Tahoe City area again, we will definitely get in touch with you.
