My extended family stayed in Joy and Don's rentals, the studio and the 2 BRM, in September 2012. The homes were clean and well-stocked with everything we could want, from snorkel gear to DVDs to a tandem kayak. We loved how centrally located our rental was. Joy and Don -the owners- were warm and helpful. If we had questions about what to do and where to go, Joy and Don were there to help, like personal tour guides. They even came to our rescue when we had problems with our rental car. If you want to feel like you're staying with family while on Maui, I highly recommend it.

A Month in Paradise!

We had a wonderful and relaxing month with Don and Joy. We found everything in the home to be clean and comfortable. Staying in a home was so much better than a hotel or condo. All the extras like beach chairs, boogie boards etc. were just great! Tips on beaches, snorkeling, scenic drives and any other questions, were just some of the things Don and Joy helped with. We would recommend this property to anyone who is staying in Kihei. All the beaches were beautiful! Makena (Big Beach) was our favorite. We would also recommend the Luau at the Marriott Wailea, it was perfect from the pre dinner activities to the end of the show. Food and drinks were wonderful, and even fire dancers! Only 15 minutes from the house too!! Mahalo to Don and Joy for making us feel like ohana.

Perfect Family Cottage in Kihei

We recently had the pleasure of staying in the 3 bedroom plantation house for 2 weeks. We had a fabulous experience, the house is very clean with nice attention to detail. The owners of the property, Joy and Don were fantastic with the kids and very helpful with suggestions on where to go with our group of 3 adults and 4 kids. I am already planning a trip back and will put this nice little house first on the list. We felt very safe on the property, lucky to have lots of space for the kids to run around, a fabulous deck, close to the action but not in the busiest part of the Kihei strip. It was perfect. Thank you so much Joy and Don, we'll be back, A hui hou kakou!

we had the most amazing stay in kihei! joy and gerry are incredible hosts and we could not have asked for better accomodations! perfect for families with kids~would highly recommend and we can't wait to go back!

We felt so comfortable at this house we did not want to leave. This is definitely the place to stay if you want to experience island living. It's an older house but extremely well maintained and very clean. The themed room decor gives it a little charm. It is conveniently located so that you can walk to or take a 2-minute drive to markets and restaurants but still far enough from a lot of the tourist traffic. If you are like me and don't care for the the resort/tourist atmosphere when you visit Maui I would definitely recommend this place.

Our stay for 17 days were filled with things to do. Every thing is close by the beaches, the stores, the cafes, the parks ext. Our cottage was very clean with the tropical theme was awesome. Don & Joy were very kind and treated us as family. Oh yes not to forget their cute Grand child with the big blue eyes. We went snorkeling, swimming, site seeing and eat at some very good cafes at a good price. We found an awesome church close by Calvary Chapel which made us feel at home as well. Your rentals are a great bargin and have everything you need for a nice vacation . Thank You for a great stay and we will stay with you again in the future. We give Your rentals a huge thumbs up! My Wife and I rented the Studio for 17 days. It felt like home but better weather of course. Joy & Don are awesome host and very helpful when ask questions about the surrounding area. We were able to stay this long because of their more than fare price's on their rentals.We enjoyed the song birds singing in the morning as we had our coffee. We found that The Kihei Cafe served a great breakfast and recommend the "Loco Moco", big breakfast at a fare price.We also found a great church close by Calvary Chapel just down the road. It is all close by what ever your need from beaches to breakfast you cant go wrong by staying at theses rentals Joy and Don have to offer, We will return soon, Thanks for making our stay the best, Jay & Jill Seattlw WA.

We love it here! We have stayed here 3 times and are getting ready for a 4th. The owners Don and Joy are the greatest. They always stop in to say hi and are always there if you need something. I can't imagine going to Maui and NOT staying there!

The Cameron Family. Vicoria, BC, Canada. Highly recommended, fun beach cottage in Kihei. Close to all amenities. Loved the fresh mangoes every day for breakfast growing by the driveway . Hosts wonderful people. Highly recommend.

Wow, what a wonderful stay. The property was clean, quiet and beautiful. Watching the peacock while we had our morning coffee was wonderful. We will definately stay with you in the future.

Don and Joy, Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in Maui in your cute cottage :-) It was nice having a full kitchen and good sized rooms. We are repeat visitors and love the atmosphere of this affordable property. The peacocks that lounge around in the afternoon are breathtaking. We come to windsurf and find the property located in the perfect part of Maui. Thank you for providing such a unique vacation rental.

The Tropical Ohana is a serene getaway that played a large role in the enjoyment and relaxation of my time in Maui. I felt so at home and loved the convenient location to Kihei town. The Gerry's are wonderful hosts to vacationers from all corners of the globe.

This was the best vacation our family ever had. The owners steered us to a travel agent who not only saved us hundreds of dollars on our tickets, but our car which all but paid for this wonderful vacation rental. The accomodations were great. The place is decorated with details to everything. There is a new ice chest for the beach, beach chairs, boogie boards. This vacation rental had everything and saved us so much money. Actsonetravel is the place for your tickets and rental car, let alone this great house in Kihei.

We came to Maui without reservations and found this perfect place in Kihei. The rooms were so nice and clean. The owners were very helpful, even arranging our trip to the Big Island and Kauai. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend.

We stayed one night at a nearby hotel and wanted something more economical. We found this property and were amazed at the decor and cleanliness of this unit. The water feature outside the window was so tranquil, the cost was very reasonable and the owners very accomodating.

We left the Maui Lu after one day and found this property a few blocks away. It was so clean and nicely decorated. We even extended our stay and cut short our time on the Big Island so we could stay longer. We will return.
