Enjoy all of the fun that the Dells has to offer without sacrificing your privacy! Our home is approximately twenty minutes from Downtown and is just down the road from Petenwell and Castle Rock Lake. During your stay on your very own five acre getaway, take advantage of a variety of outdoor activities the area has to offer including hiking, biking, golfing, fishing, hunting, horse-back riding and more! Rent or bring along your snowmobile or ATV to get out on some of Wisconsin's great recreational trails. If you're looking for something a little more low-key, plan a visit to Fawn Creek Winery for a sampling.
The cabin was built by our grandfather and comes fully furnished, ready for you to unwind. It comfortably sleeps five and a few more, if need be, on our full size inflatable mattresses. While you're here, don't miss a second of your favorite sports or TV shows thanks to our cable TV and Wi-Fi internet. If you're bringing your own ATV, boat, or snowmobile, we can make arrangements for you to park in our garage and/or pole shed to keep your equipment safe when you're not using it.

For the same price of a single hotel room, I stayed in a actual 2 bedroom cabin. There were a few harmless elder box bugs, but that is what you get, in a cabin, in the woods. I enjoyed the fact that when i forgot simple things like dish-soap that the cabin provided it already. The closest store that i noticed was wall-mart in the dells and was 30 min away. So keep in mind to go grocery shopping on the way there. It also felt nice to be away from tourist area and stay where the locals stayed. Even though it was only my husband and I staying there it would also be great for a family. There also is a fire pit in the back yard. I will come back next year with friends, it was perfect.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Positives: the four of us; my wife and 2 adult children were comfortable in our home away from home. There was room for 3 or more people. Excellent rental rate, very clean, spacious rural home/cabin. Facility is older cabin country style. Nice air conditioning, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms. Washer and Dryer was handy. Our VRBO cabin owners were wonderful to work with by phone and email. They provided a valuable discount coupon book for us to use and discount tickets to Mt. Olympus Water Park. The drive to the Dells was 22 minutes. the free WiFi internet at the cabin was appreciated as my wife did have to check in with her office. The cable TV had some shows. Although it was not a new flat panel TV it was perfect for a cabin! Since we lounged around inside a bit due to hot weather another stuffed chair in the living room would have been nice. We played the board game called Apples to Apples. A few more board games could be a nice feature. There was plenty of down time to sit and read outside. It was very hot though as they have a terrible drought in the Dells with no rain for 2 months. all grass is dead or dormant. We couldn't have a camp fire due to an area wide burn ban. it was the responsible thing to do. We used the grill 3 times for burgers and dogs. It was a nice Coleman grill. Our activities included Horseback riding 12 minutes away at Red Ridge Riding Stable they really treat their horses well. We went tubing/canoing/Kayak on Wisconsin River 10 minutes away at Points Bluff resort and had 1/2 off coupons. We attended the Rick Wilcox Magic Show. Excellent on par with Vegas style illusionist show. Mini Golf at Pirates Cove, House on the Rock in Spring Green (about hour drive). Marley's Caribbean restauraunt had excellent food as well as Pizza Pub. The highlight of Mt Olympus Water Park was the giant wave pool, Posiden's Rage at about 14-16 foot waves every 2 minutes! Temps were in the 90's so the pool was a must. Mt. Olympus was expensive. Negatives: Perhaps because of the exellent rate we received, the owners required us to remove all our own trash. Visiting at a place for a week with 4 adults produced several bags. I felt like a crook dumping it in town hoping not to get caught. I recommend rectifing this! Only 2 rolls of toilet paper were provided for the whole week but he told us to bring some in advance. We stopped at the local WalMart and stocked up. Overall I still rate this property and rate as excellent!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Our stay at Broken Tree Cabin was wonderful, as were the owners. It is decorated with beautiful keep sakes of days gone by. All the amenities you need are there, it is extremely clean and spacious. Very close to the Dells activities, along with two beautiful beaches..but, the cabin sits on five peaceful acres.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
