  We had the best weekend at the condo and enjoyed every minute of our stay.So much to do and see within walking distance. The home accommodated six of us very nicely I would highly recommend it for a group gathering, Upper deck space is a great spot to relax and enjoy the scenery.Neighborhood is quite. Perfect place to get away.

  I rented this condo for several family members who were in town for a wedding and was very pleased with the experience. The owner is responsive, answered all our questions, and was pleasant to work with, both before and after the rental contract was signed. The condo is in a great location in Santa Monica, walkable to everything but in a quiet residential neighborhood that is incredibly safe and beautiful to walk around. The place is well-maintained with gorgeous views and had everything we were looking for. You will not find a better place in Santa Monica for this price. I would absolutely recommend this place to others.

  Four of us stayed here whilst on a business trip, and it worked out fantastically. The owner, Barbara, was really helpful when we turned up - and accommodated us really well considering we booked very last minute! The house was large, very clean and well furnished - plus the views from the roof decks are to die for! The location is a lovely residential road, close to the lovely Montana road, which has some great shops and restaurants along it. Would definitely recommend this house, and I'm sure we'll stay again if we come back to Santa Monica.

  Myself, and six of my friends rented this house for two nights. We wanted to get away to the beach for a couple days. Yes this is a nice vacation home but I was not prepared to have the owners personal belongings every where in the house. It says in the listing "not sterile like a hotel", don't take that lightly. The listing also says it has a garage, and it does but the owner said we couldn't use it so we had to find a spot on the street. The listing also says "walking distance" to the beach, it's not close, I'd call it a hike. I would definitly suggest having a car to get around- or you can get a cab but that gets pricey back and forth. Lastly, my refundable deposit check. I texted, emailed, and called her asking her when she was mailing it back to me and she would text me back telling me "this week". Well ONE MONTH later I got it back. We stayed at her place Nov. 26-28, 2012 and I received her check for the refundable deposit Jan. 2, 2013. I would not stay at this house again.

  I don't believe that this guest is accurate in her assessment of the condo. I do want everyone to enjoy their stay 100% and, I think that I am providing a wonderful and beautiful place to do that in. No previous guests have made those complaints. I will though, try to make everything even better than it is now, to try and please everyone. I feel badly that Linda didn't enjoy her stay more at the condo. I wish that she had mentioned any problems that she thought she had to me, which she didn't do, during her stay. I would have immediately done anything and everything to make her feel more comfortable.

  We stayed at this rental in October and it was not what we had hoped. The location and the neighbourhood were good, but the house smelled musty, particularly in the downstairs areas. We could not use the washer and dryer in the basement because it was damp and cluttered. The house had personal possessions throughout, which made us feel uncomfortable. A vase in the living room caught leaking water from the roof when it rained (which it did while we were there). The roof patio had broken and rusted furniture. It took longer to get our deposit back than was agreed in our contract (the security deposit had also been cashed, which has never happened to us before when using VRBO). On the upside, the building is light and unique in design. The neighbourhood felt safe, and it was easy to walk to the beach and downtown area.

  My daughters and I had a very nice time staying in the lovely condo. It was exactly as advertised: an architect's personal home, close to all our traveling destinations,kept very clean and including everything we'd enjoy in our own home. The owner was personally very friendly and helpful. Friends had told us about this rental and we would be happy to recommend it to anyone. This is our second time staying here and hopefully we will come back again soon. Sincerely, Jane S. and family.

  This townhouse had wonderful space for entertaining...the living and sleeping space was so private from each other and the outdoor patios great for extra seating...we entertained 25 people for brunch and there was seating space for everyone. Contemporary, bright and open in a really convenient location between Wilshire and Montana...walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, bars and great shopping. The Wilshire @ Wilshire & 25th is a wonderful restaurant w/charming outdoor space and really interesting delicious food. Father's Office is a great casual place with a fab burger and there are lots of Italian restaurants on Montana that looked adorable but we didn't get a chance to try. We would definitely rent this townhouse again and look forward to doing so.

  location was what we had expected. We were told that we would have garage parking, but we did not. Street parking got full because of the apartments around the condo and the hospital workers that work at the nearby hospital. The condo pictures on line are not current. The condo is not being maintained properly. Cracks on the ceiling, water damage, dishwasher did not work, some furniture was already broken and torn, outdoor patios were dirty and run down, mold and mildew smell on the bedroom levels made my daughter sick. We had our entire family of 6 adults stay here, but we would not recommend this rental until this house is totally + properly maintained. Owner called a few times to let us know that she was coming back to the house to pick up some items, which felt odd to us, but we were glad that she called or texted before her visits. I am a retired airline person so our family travels alot, and we do rent Vacation homes + condos in our travels. THis is the first time that we have ever used VRBO and it will be our last time. It was very odd to us to have the owner's personal items in the closet, bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms. We will continue to rent vacation homes on our future travels.

  Owner response: I'm sorry that you thought there was garage parking offered; there is no garage parking nor has there ever been. I regret that you thought that for I know that I never said that. I'm so sorry that you misunderstood. The dishwasher was not working as well as it could have been when you were there but, has now been replaced. There had not been any comments about that previously but if there had been, I would have taken care of that immediately as I always do. The good new is that there is now a great looking Kitchen Aide Dishwasher in it's place. I also, don't agree with your other comments. The condo, as is stated in the ad, is occasionally a residence when it is not rented out. I have always thought that the feeling created because of this, was a good one since it had less of the sterile hotel feel. The condo is a beautiful, dramatic, light-filled place that previous guests have enthusiastically commented on in a positive way and on what wonderful vacations they have had there.
